amazing
I had the pleasure to experience my first ever safari with Vwasu Expedition, back in March this year.
I decided to gift myself this experience for my 30th birthday, and let me tell you, that was the best thing I could do for myself. I’ve always wanted to explore Tanzanian nature, and thanks to Vwasu Expedition I was able to fully experience its beauty. During my stay I’ve seen lions, zebras, rhinos and many more animals, that I could’ve only seen on a TV screen. I will never forget the hospitality and kindness that I was treated with. I’m sure I will come back, this time with friends and family.

Once in a lifetime experience
My partner and I had a game drive with Bhekifa..where do I even begin...He said "today I'm going to find you a leopard" and he did spot one hanging on a tree from a distance, he was very educational, the best and patient game driver, he showed different types of birds, we also saw lions.. I don't know how to put in the right words but we had the best experience and it's all thanks to him...Bhekifa♡♡♡♡

Very funny, friendly, welcoming, and caring
Felt safe and well-informed about the journey in general - the tour guides have very good communication. Climbing a mountain can be very stressful but the crew made sure to keep us nice and relaxed which made the journey so much more enjoyable. It felt as if we were just climbing with our friends which is exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend these guys to everyone!

Extremely helpful and made the whole trip amazing!
The whole experience was very simple. Truffy was very informative and knowledgeable, and helped arrange a bespoke safari for me which met all my wants and felt comfortable and not too hectic. Communication was great, by email and whatsapp, and she even met me in Nairobi at the start and end of my safari to make sure everything went smoothly. I opted for the luxury accommodation and both properties were perfect; beyond my expectations. The driver and tour guide made the trip amazing, with his excellent knowledge of the country and wildlife. I'd say the booking was great value for money and I can't fault a single thing. I've already recommended them to a couple of friends and colleagues who are looking to book for next year.

An unforgettable experience
My partner and I had a trip of a lifetime thanks to Bamboo Ecotours. We did a 4 day tour involving a golden monkey trek at Volcanoes, and gorilla trekking at Bwindi.
Edison, the founder of the company, was exceptional when organising our tour - super quick with his responses, professional and attentive to our needs. He managed to provide us with an itinerary which suited our preferences, budget and was great value for money. We also had to book last minute but Edison was very flexible with the payment/refund policy.
Our guide Herbert was amazing - he was considerate, knowledgeable and skilful at driving! The roads in Uganda are no joke - super bumpy and muddy when wet. One of the most memorable times of our entire Africa trip was when on the morning of our gorilla trek, the one-way road which led to Bwindi was blocked by a broken down truck. With only centimetres to spare from the cliff's edge, Herbert safely and expertly did a U-turn and got us to the trek on time. He also made sure to contact the park so that even if we were late, we'd still get to do the trek.
Our accommodation at Mutanda Lake Resort was also a highlight. The views of the volcanoes in the background and the lake in the foreground will forever be etched in my memory.
What also sets Bamboo Ecotours apart is their commitment to supporting disadvantaged communities in the area who are overlooked by the tourism sector, by providing financial support and only hiring guides who come from these communities.
We highly recommend Bamboo Ecotours and will definitely be using them again when we're back in Uganda!

mazing people, wildlife, and landscapes
Do not hesitate to visit during the offseason. 7 days the first week of march. It rained once for about an hour.

Absolutely gorgeous with amazing wildlife and friendly people.
I booked a two day solo tour to Murchinson Falls National Park through Immersion . My guide Andrew was so friendly and knowledgeable. He picked me up at my Airbnb in Kampala and was an excellent driver on some very busy and rustic roads. We went for a short hike to see the falls and followed it up with a river cruise where you see lots of birds, hippos, elephants, and Nile crocodiles. After we went on a game drive and I was able to see many more elephants and giraffes. Highly recommend.

Review about Lake Manyara National Park by David L
There are some elephants. There are lots of monkeys. There are birds. The park itself is dying as the lake grows and kills the trees. The other part of the park seems overgrown. You really only see animals that are within 6ft of the road. If you have been on other safari’s, I would recommend skipping it.
The night safari is a waste as well.

Review about Ngorongoro Crater by David L
The landscapes are wonderful. The drive down and drive up were fun to experience with the top open.
Yet, it feels like a zoo. If you have been on other safaris, I would recommend skipping it and just do the lookout at the rim.

Review about Serengeti National Park by David L
This is a wonderful park. Lots of roads the carve up the landscape but give animals room to breathe. We saw everything, except rhinos. We came during the offseason and saw plenty of animals and few other tourists. When stopped to see something there were never more than 1 or 2 other jeeps around us.
