The heart of the Namibian wildlife
Overall rating
4/5

The park lies in a large endorheic salt pan, forming part of the Kalahari Basin in the north of Namibia. The park thus has a unique combination of landscapes (spanning from waterholes to stretches of salt) and wildlife, in particular elephants, lions, zebras and birds. The park is very wide, as compared to other parks in countries like Botswana, so, in order to spot wildlife rangers often needs to communicate via radio devices.
The weather in winter (July-August) is relatively dry and days are mostly sunny.
Regarding the accomodations there are a few options just outside of the park, which are comfortable, cosy and often green. Inside the park, lodges put you very close to waterholes, where you can easily watch animals assembling.

Etosha National park is home to a large variety of wildlife and there are remarkable landscapes. However, the park is often crowded with tourists.

Well organized, lovely contact to Moureen, kikoi appreciated (special)
5/5

Arrangement and special requests dealt with in very friendly competent way; personalized offer for Samburu National Reserve. Final payment on-site. The kikoi as gift for safari travellers was very special and highly appreciated. Organization for pick up very well, very nice and competent driver, flexible, complied with special wishes (game drive for sunrise).
Would book with Kay Adventure Tours again.

amazing safari
5/5

We had an amazing trip with this company. Pricing was competitive, our itinerary was completely personalised (response times from Maturaf were extremely quick). We stayed in amazing accommodation. However most importantly we had the best guide. Ask for Ewa. He showed us everything. We saw three different animals mating. And two 'near kills' - one cheetah and one lion. Couldn't have asked for a better trip. Thoroughly endorse Regional tours and safaris - get your trip booked you won't regret it

The best value and the best experience of the wild savannah with the Authentic African Safari Team
5/5

I loved the way we were treated by the Authentic African Safari team. Initially I searched many companies to get a quote for the safari as I was planning to go on Safari with my family of four. I found Authentic African Safari to be most reasonably priced. I was further delighted by the team for making us most comfortable. The accommodation was excellent and the guides were superb. I recommend this company to animal loving folks who are seeking this adventure.

Hakuna Matata at Kilimanjaro, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, and Zanzibar
5/5

Tanzania Serengeti Adventure set us up for success and set expectations beginning with a briefing 1-2 weeks before the trip to discuss the tour itinerary day by day, logistics, and to help answer any questions we had. Email communications and responses from the company were prompt and helpful. Every tour guide we met on Kilimanjaro, Ngorongoro/Serengeti, and Zanzibar were helpful, caring, and made sure we were taken care of and felt safe. This includes post-trip communications to make sure everything went well with our trip and if we felt unsatisfied with any part of it, they looked into it immediately.

My favorite part of the trip was making friends with our porters during the Kilimanjaro trek and getting to interact with them and learn about the Tanzanian culture as they were all locals. Best of all, Tanzania Serengeti Adventure is a local-ran tour company who helps employ local Tanzanians.

A tour to remember
5/5

My tour was amazing (and I’m not always using this term like some American guys), especially because of the driver! It was a pleasure to spend time with him! If you are traveling alone, such a trip is an opportunity to meet new friends from all around the world!

Awesome experience: amazing service- graciously cared for- saw the Big 5+
5/5

We just returned from a 6 day/5 night camping safari and can honestly say that it was one of our very favorite trips of all time. With so many companies to choose from, we are glad we went with World Tours. Owner, Richard was incredibly responsive to our numerous emails and made sure we were taken care of from the moment we landed until we were back at the airport for our return. Our guide/driver, Steven was amazing! Extremely knowledgeable and willing to wake up early and stay out late in order for us to see as many animals as possible. He knows the parks well and was thoroughly gracious throughout the entire trip. Our cook, Vitalis, was also wonderful- preparing great meals- large portions, varied and tasty! The only not-so-great aspect of the trip was the condition of our vehicle. It was an older jeep with worn interior, no air-conditioning, blurry windows and lacked power to get up hills. However, it added to the experience and we can't wait to return!

A wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience.
5/5

We went on an 8-day private safari visiting Tarangire, lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and lake Eyasi. The reason we selected Bestday were good reviews, a personal recommendation from a previous client and, most of all, Peter's professional response to all our requests when we were preparing to book. He was very quick to answer numerous emails we were sending, was able to accommodate all our requests and to offer a good advice, for example on where to spend an additional day of our safari that we wanted to have.
Safari itself was amazing. We are middle-aged so we went for mid-range accommodation and greatly enjoyed all of them, especially Ikoma tented camp in Serengeti and Rhino Lodge at the Ngorongoro crater rim. Our guide Godfrey is an excellent driver and equally skillful game spotter. Several times it took us several minutes to see, with binoculars, what he was able to spot with his naked eyes. If you go with him just relax - he is to be trusted in every aspect of your journey. He went out of his way to create a great experience for us, was very professional, and also a good company. Seeing thousands of zebra, wildebeast and giraffes Serengeti was as exciting as spotting numerous lions (we lost count!), two leopards, a cheetah in action trying to catch a wildebeast (but could not make it because zebras made a lot of dust), elephants (we lost count, and had a close friendly encounter with one of them!), a black rhino, and the list goes on and on ... We also enjoyed visiting local tribes, especially joining Bushman hunt early in the morning, so we would recommend everyone to add this kind of experience to their safari.

In summary, a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience.

In contrast with the safari, staying in Arusha (at least for the middle-aged first time visitors to Tanzania) was not enjoyable, so we would recommend that you give it a miss - much better to arange the pickup from the airport with Peter and start your safari immediately.

Venture Safaris: well organized visit to amazing parks in Kenya
3/5

Organzied by Venture Africa Budget Safaris, we had an unforgettable 4-days trip to Masai-Mara and Lake Nakuru. Both parks were amazing beatiful, the weather was great, making the trip a huge success. Price-quality ratio was perfect, also the drive to both parks was well organized. At the start, we departed from Ngong (1-hr from Nairobi) to Venture’s office. Prior, it was quite unclear were to meet Venture’s employees in Nairobi. After many questions to the organization, it became more clear where they wanted to meet. Hostels and food was good. During our drive, the car crashed. It took many hours before we continued our trip to Nakura, that was a pity and required a lot of energy. Overall, the organization was well done and really enjoyed the trip. Afterwards, we were a bit spammed for writing this review, so be prepared ;)..
