We traveled to South Africa for a family holiday in March. We choose Kruger National Park for our safari destination and Nhlalala Travel for our tour guide. We stayed in the Kruger Gate Hotel which was fabulous. We did a sunset safari, full day private safari and a sunrise safari. We were very lucky as we managed to see the big 5. Our private safari guide was so patient and this enabled us to have a wonderful experience. After our safari we returned to Johannesburg and flew to Cape Town for the second part of our trip.

About: Tanzania
Absolute beauty and sheer diversity!

We had six days in Serengeti and Ngorongoro protected areas and we absolutely loved it! Ndutu region was marvellous with lots of game sightings and more intimate experiences with nature. Here, sighting a caracal, a family of five bat-eared foxes and multiple close encoutners with lions were the highlights. Serengeti was also amazing where we caught up with the great migration, an absolutely stunning scene with tens of thousands of zebras and gnus. Here, seeing a leopard was amazing! As a final stage, we visited the Crater, which was also nice but the visit was short and the area is busier with safari cars. If it wasn't for seeing black rhinos, I wouldn't recommend it and say just enjoy the landscape from the rim (and you save quite some money on the entrance fee). All in all, we loved the experience and are already planning our next visit!

About: Kenya
Country worth visiting!

My family visited Giraffe Centre and Snake park in Nairobi. Then we had a 5 day safari (Amboseli-Nakuru-Naivasha-Maasai Mara) with Bigmac Africa Safaris. This tour operator is excellent and they respond quickly to any inquiries. My little boy had a chance to dance with the Maasai people in their village.
Diani beach also has powdery white sand.We rode camels for the first time.Kenya is never boring as there is a lot of things to do from the city of Nairobi to the grasslands to the coastal area.I would say this is a trip of a lifetime for my family.

We saw amazing sceneries, from deserts to ocean, from savanna to mountains, insane wildlife including rhinos fighting, leopards and all the expected animals and more! The roads were excellent, the lodges had character and luxury and the price tags were very reasonable! Can't wait to go back!

SA in general? It’s nice bin muged en a lot of people want something from you. I’m not used

About the safari it was nice only 3 days is more then enough. I was lucky enough to see the big 5 in the Kruger park. But I would say the bush walk was boring so not really necessary if you ask me. Or you have to be lucky to see ontregeling wilde life. The night dive was super cool specially if you see animals even tho if the are elephants or a giraffe. I guess the don’t do this when ther are lions. So people who I was with did do a 5 day end even a 7 day but only 2/3 Kruger national park. So the rest of the time the wher in the range after seeing the range for 1 day it’s boring end I would say not worth to sty longer money wise. But over all I’m happy with my 3 days end I was done end ready to leave. Fiva safaris was super nice in general besides ower tour guide he was a bit grumpy also regretting tipping him considering his bad mood. We wher so happy to experience this as a group but we wher not aloud for my feeling to joke during the trip or to be over exited. Hope you have a better tour guide or at least that he has a better mood goin in to the Kruger park it’s for me a one lifetime experience end it’s not nice if some one is holding you back from enjoying it. But after all was it great end thenk you for this amazing experience. Oowh an other thing tipping is mostly for the survives we pay Al ready a lot for stying ther or make it more expensive so we don’t have to tip or make it an unforgettable experience that the crue is working on it becouse then I wanne tip end I did not do that even tho I was prepared for it I had a lot of cash with me. But the people working ther wher nice don’t get me rong but deff not feld like tipping for work that the have to do (including salary) but to make it an extra level of experience like (smiley Hakuna Matata) is a gift 💝

Far exceeds your expectations

Really enjoyed my safari with Viva Tours in South Africa; the 6 day safari was a luxury because I had time to do 2 full days in Kruger Park and numerous game drives in their private reserve to ensure I saw all of the big five animals as well as numerous interesting birds species, and zebras, giraffes, hippos, kudu, waterbuck, hyena, and so on. We were extremely lucky to see a pack of African Wild Dogs, one of the rarest species in Kruger!

The visit to an animal rescue and rehabilitation centre was extremely special; the care and knowledge that they bring to not for the wildlife but the wider community and the challenges that are faced to balance tourism, argiculture, and human needs.

The landscape of South Africa was far more varied and beautiful than I expected. I am awed by the Drakensberg Mountains!

Kruger is simply one of the best safari parks in the world, where multiple wildlife sightings daily is all but guaranteed.

Embark on an unforgettable safari adventure in the iconic Maasai Mara. Traverse the sweeping plains of this legendary reserve, home to the renowned Great Migration. Witnessed the drama of predator-prey interactions and the beauty of diverse birdlife. As the sun dips below the horizon, retreated to a luxurious tented camp, where gourmet cuisine and traditional Maasai hospitality await. Awoke to the symphony of the savanna and continue our exploration of this pristine wilderness, where every moment is a masterpiece.

The placement was ideal for me
5/5

I've been checking out Go Volunteer Africa for a few years now before I finally decided to take the leap. Simply reflecting back on my time volunteering here in Uganda makes me tear up. I had the most amazing life changing experience I could have ever asked for.

I had a genuinely meaningful, fulfilling, and enjoyable time on my first trip. The youth support project is based here in Mukono, east of Kampala the capital and largest city in this nation.

I connected well with both fellow international travellers, but the rich local community, too. This was the deepest, most profound educational experience is the hands-on volunteering.

The placement was ideal for me, as it allowed me to deploy my love for / experience with young children and enabled me to help the promotion of education for young women from disadvantaged communities.

Overall, I developed a deep connection with the country and community, while also diversifying my interactions and experiences with a unique, cosmopolitan group of travellers staying in the hostel.

It beyond exceeded my expectations. The support of the Kenyan and Ugandan team had me at ease, the local team is very amazing, and the accommodation and food is incredible.

Mukono is an incredible place – the nightlife is wonderful – I will miss it a lot. I can't say enough good things about Go Volunteer Africa and the experience I had volunteering. I can't wait for my next adventure!
