Incredible experience from start to finish!
5/5

Our trip was just just fantastic, when our driver Mr. Daniel came and picked us up, Chaz Tours and Travel had some gifts for us, they gave us the Masai blankets and some maps or books for information. Our children loved Mr.Daniel, they even made a Mr. Daniel song for him. He had an eye of an eagle, his eyesight was so spot on, we didn't need any binoculars because he can spot like cheetahs and small animals far away. On our way to our 4 day trip Nairobi - Lake Nakuru -Masai Mara - Nairobi trip we first stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, it was such a sight and if you read up about the Great Rift Valley you will be amazed. Next stop was lake Naivasha with island stopover to have a close encounter with giraffes, wildebeest, gazelles and water bucks. Lots of different bird species at the lake, we even had the chance to feed fish to an eagle. You will see some hippos soaking up at the lake too. We had lunch as a stopover and grabbed some coffees in one of the malls on the way to Lake Nakuru, remember to grab some drinking bottled water to Lake Nakuru - Mara or snacks and fruits and bring your own shopping bag as they don't provide this in shops in Kenya (plastic free). In Lake Nakuru, you will see the pink flamingos, we spotted a black rhino and serval cat, we stayed at Lake Nakuru lodge. Water is not drinkable but its so soft and made our hair and skin so soft. Next stop is Mara, Mara is a long journey with mostly rough roads and it takes around 6 to 7 hours drive from Nairobi, it is also very dusty. April is supposedly rainy season but for the entire week we were there, there was no rain. It can get a bit chilly in the mornings but after that it gets hot during the day. Mara was amazing, it's a dream come true to see the animals in their natural habitat. We stayed at Masai Mara Sopa lodge and it was a great place to stay. We visited Kekoorok air strip where we bought some souvenirs, try and bargain if you can, we visited also Masai Village and had some look around their livelihood. we learned so much in this trip and would use the same company again and recommend them in the future. Thank you for making our trip so memorable.

An awesome day and a must do experience
5/5

This drive in the Kruger was the highlight of our time in South Africa. Picked up at our hotel very early in the morning by Keegan, our guide. We were so lucky and saw so much. Keegan is so knowledgeable on the animals, birds and plants and shared it all with us. His love for all wildlife is so genuine and just wonderful to be around. I don't know how he did it but he could spot the wildlife from afar, even seeing a cobra snake striking at a bird on the roadside, sad but incredible to see how nature is. It's a must to do this drive with these guys. Keegan also had great recommendations of places to go around Hazyview. Over and above our expectations for the day and memories that will last forever

Spectacular Safari with Migration Venture Africa
5/5

Two words- Absolutely amazing describe our experience on safari. Our guide Erasto was better than perfect. He picked us from the airport where we had come in from Uganda and from that time we did not have a dull moment. He drove us beautiful Maramboi tented camp just outside Tarangire National Park where we wound down and rested. The following morning took us Tarangire where we spent the day tracking wild animals and we saw so many elephants and some herds must have been close to 100 animals. We then went to Lake Manyara and did the board walk. This gave us the advantage of watching the animals without spooking them and also a 360 degree view of the surroundings. Ngorongoro Crater was so fantastic. From the moment you step on the rim begin the wonderful journey that takes you to the crater floor. There a huge variety of animals enclosed by the walls of the crater, including the rare black rhino.
We then went to Serengeti where we spent 2 nights in a tented camp and visiting different parts of the park and enjoying different scenery and animals.
This was an awesome experience and we got it for a very reasonable price.

Awesome and Byond Expectations
5/5

Awesome experience thanks to the wonderful arrangements made by Teacher and amazing guiding by Shaban. Everything went smoothly from the timely pickup from airport, transfers, game drives and cultural exchange visits.
Our itinerary took us to Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Arusha National Parks. We also visited the Hadzabe Bushmen and a Maasai boma. The whole experience from watching wildlife in close proximity, learning about the different communities and different ways of life are nice memories that I will not forget in a hurry.
We think that this is one of the best safari companies in Tanzania today and recommend them to everyone.

It was great! it was a very last minute safari but it was incredible and they were very hospitable.
5/5

They were great! It was a last minute safari but they gave us a good price and they really went out of their to help us out. One of us had to head straight to the airport right at then end of the 2 day safari, and they were able to make that work. Our guide Mike was very knowledgable and was able to find many of the animals for us. 5/5 would recommend!

Fantastic Safari at Pilanesberg
Overall rating
5/5

Thanks to Mmilo an Patrick for organising that astonishing experience.
Patrick is very professional and is caring a lot about the customers. He finds the perfect Lodge to stay at according to ones budget and wishes. For us the 3 Day Safari with staying at Tshukudu Bush Lodge was just perfect. The Lodge was a real gem inside Pilanesberg National Park. The suite was as wonderful as promised and the team, view, food and drinks where very nice too. One cannot wish for more.

The driver Anton that brought us to the park was very friendly and chose a very beautiful route to show us some of the Jo'Burg area.
If I'd go to SA again any time soon I'd definitely make a booking with Patrick and Mmilo.

Thanks for everything and best regards from Germany!

Relaxing and Awe Inspiring Safari
Overall rating
5/5

We were picked up early in the morning (be sure to leave as early as possible! Some of the animals sleep when the sun is overhead) and drove from Johannesburg to Pilanesberg. We did a one day safari with a ranger and it was amazing! It was so relaxing to drive around the park, and so so cool to see all the animals casually grazing with each other. The park is beautiful and majestic, and you can actually get fairly close to the animals. Will definitely be back - what a life changing experience!

A must do trip

I recommend without hesitation. Mr. Otieno of Safari Walking is highly and promptly responsive to inquiries. It all went well. Ask to have Benson as a driver if you can. Benson is a safe driver, he is polite, patient, dedicated and will get you to see all the animals, some in action. I got to see an entire hunt from start to finish. I just returned from a safari with them. Though I was alone, they proceeded and I had the car and the guide, Benson, to myself for 9 days. That was great. Not all companies proceed when they only have one participant.
There was a hiccup though and I do not doubt Mr. Otieno will see to it this never happens again. I got food poisening in Naivasha in a lodge. I recovered fast as I had no plan to let this incident curtail my trip. However, if you are going to be in a lodge without telephone and the possibility to go out at night because of the possibility of wildlife encounter, make sure issues such as seeking assistance at night if needed are addressed. Annoying things could happen, so...be prepared just in case. In my case, the issue was not addressed beforehand and I am just glad I was able to get through a bad night due to food poisening without needing assistance from the lodge reception (closed at night on top of it all). This most important issue must be addressed. This said, look out for your safety and make sure to ask whether the ice is from purified water, and only eat fruits served with a peel or that do not easily harbor bacteria and that look crisp fresh (pineapples), avoid salads unless they are served with vinaigre on the side, and send back food that is warm but not cooked to death and that is not sizzling hot if cooked (right off the cooking pan). Basic stuff and you will be just fine. On another note, the food was always good, balanced and varied.
FYI, I think 3 nights in Naivasha is a bit long. Once you have seen the lake and done your drive at Hell's Gate, there is not much more to do and see. All this can be done in one day. Naivasha is a good rest stop driving from Masai Mara to Amboseli but that's all. Visit the market of Naivasha and mingle with the people. I liked going where the regular folks go. An hour at the market should suffice. All in all, I am happy with Walking Safari Survivors and I recommend without hesitation despite the hiccup that I am sure will be addressed. If you want to see how it went, I kept a journal/ blog of it on my Instagramaccount daleelah2018. You will see clips I made of conversations I had with Benson (you will love Benson) and a hunt and kill Benson got me to watch from beginning to end so knowledgeable and persistent he is in finding animals.
Another suggestion: for extra activities that are not included in the safari price, the travel agency should pre-negotiate the prices for us. I was left having to bargain the prices. They try to get the highest price first and you should discuss to lower the price. It would be better if that part was taken care of by the guide for a fair result for all. I find it a bit annoying to haggle each time. It can be pretty expensive, like US prices, which, in my opinion is not always justified in Kenya.
Benson dropped me off at the train station at Emali after visiting Amboseli Park and I continued my journey solo to Mombasa, Diani Beach, Wasini Island then Nairobi for 3 days. Kenya is a special country and it's people are beautiful, gentle and welcoming. I can't wait to go back there and when I do, Safari Bookings and Walking Safaries will be my first choice to arrange a safari. Do not let my suggestions or the hiccup I experienced interfere with what will otherwise be an amazing experience with Safari Bookinks and Walking. Safari.
