Exceptional Safari Experience
5/5

My wife and I had been on several safaris between us and this was far-and-above the best safari experience we have had; on the trip we did the central Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Lomo's communication was clear and timely from the beginning, and Erasto, the managing director and guide, was a true professional. He was full of good information, genuinely interested in sharing about wildlife but also Tanzania in general, very attentive to ensuring logistics were perfectly planned, and committed to finding the animals we wanted to see. I highly recommend Lomo for your Tanzania safari experience.

The Okavango Delta
Henk Reitsma
Some years ago my wife and I made a roundtrip through a number of countries in Southern Africa. We travelled with a group from Cape Town to the Victoria Falls. The absolute highlight was our visit to the Okavango Delta in Botswana. It was March, so in the wet season with the Delta completely filled.
We slept two nights on a houseboat placed on the edge of the Delta area.
We departed in the morning to the Delta and first had to drive a few kilometers with a truck (Photo 1), passing a small village with rondavel huts (photo 2). Along the road laid the carcass of an elephant (Photo 3), probably shot by the village people to protect their crops.
There were 10 boats (mokoro’s ) and 10 guides (Photo 4) waiting for our group with 20 participants and subsequently we started our tour over the Delta through high grasses and reed. In each mokoro two persons were sitting. The guides were very careful to avoid the hyppo’s and asked us not to make noise. We heard elephants in the distances and saw a glimp of the herd when standing in the mokoro. However I almost lost my equilibrium and almost fell in the water.
After two hours we entered a small island to have lunch (Photo 5) and subsequently made a walk (Photo 6) over this island guided by two guides. We found the remains of a buffalo, probably killed by a lion (according to our guide), which reminded us again that we walked through a terrain with wild animals.
On our way back we saw some deer in the distance. After 1 ½ hour we arrived at our point of departure. It was a splendid tour through a wonderful water world. Even after a couple of years I still have vivid memory of our visit to the Okavango Delta.

About: Namibia
Skip the rainy season
Overall rating
3/5

Andersson's Camp was fine, though the absence of field guide books in the common area was disappointing. The food was good, cabin comfy. The private park around it was good value for animal viewing, despite downpours. Etosha in the rainy season was disappointing at several levels. Few animals, military vehicles speeding down the main road, dismal little museum. It was hard to grasp the history of the place, like which animals are native, which are introduced. Guide seemed reticent to handle questions of context. And be forewarned: there are no meerkats in Namibia.

About: Vayeni
Three-day Victoria Falls Tour & Safari
5/5

For my birthday my mom and I decided to take a short trip to Botswana, do a half-day safari tour and then visit Victoria Falls. It was difficult trying to plan the trip on my own, so I reached out to Vayeni and spoke with Mel who helped plan the entire trip. Not only did we finally see lions on our safari, but we actually had a chance to pet and walk with them at the Lion Encounter, followed by the private Elephant Encounter, and a evening luxury cruise on the Zambezi River. What a fabulous experience!! I cannot express enough the amazing time we had due to her insight, coordination and flexibility. Our experience is one that we will remember fondly for a lifetime, and the hospitality of the staff was wonderful. Many, many thanks, and I would strongly recommend this company to anyone interested in traveling there.

Great Team
5/5

All of the team members at Kili Boys Tours took great care of my family while we were in Tanzania. From the time we landed until the time we departed they were always cheerful, reliable and knowledgeable. We climbed Kili (to the top), do day excursions around Moshi (Marangu waterfalls, Masia Tribe visit) and went on a safari that included Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara). We did it all and they handle it all. Thank you Paul, Dismas and the entire Kili Boys Tours TEAM!

Amazing Experience!
5/5

My girlfriend and I did a 4 day trip to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. It was epic! We saw so many big cats, exactly as we wanted! Lions fighting over food with a pack of hyenas, cheetahs stalking their breakfast (gazelles), leopards sleeping in trees next to their kill, and so on. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about everything from the wildlife to the local tribes, and perhaps more importantly he knew every park inside and out and was always finding the best spots for us. We chose the "mid range" accommodation but for us it was total paradise, if it were us we would call it luxury! One night we had a view over Lake Manyara and ate a delicious dinner in a restaurant built around a huge Baobab Tree; on another night we were in a luxury camp right in the middle of the Serengeti and could sit around a campfire and watch "African TV" (i.e. the wildlife).
During the booking process, Mack and his team were super friendly, helpful, and professional the whole time, answering all our questions and even making special preparations for us. After we got back to Arusha they even organized an extra customised tour for us to see Kilimanjaro and some sights around Moshi the following days at a very good price! We would definitely book again with Kili Tours!

Outstanding Namibian Safari
5/5

We had a 12 day accommodated safari that arranged and led by Wild Dog Safaris. It was excellent! Our guide, Ian, was first class and extremely knowledgable of the animals, birds and the Namibian culture. The accommodations were in 4-star lodges, the Erongo Wilderness Resort and Okonjima Reserve were particularly memorable. The vehicle provided by Wild Dog was comfortable and excellent for game viewing and photography. The variety and number of animals and birds in Etosha National Park was very impressive. This was my 4th African safari and it was the best!

Friendly, helpful, extremely knowledgable. A great overall experience
5/5

We had an amazing 5 day safari with Gideon. We spent 4 days in the Serengeti and 1 day in Ngorongoro. Gideon was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and was dedicated to making our safari experience as interesting and fun as possible. There was even wifi in the car and free beer! The tents were also comfy and the food was great. I would definitely recommend them.
