Safari adventures in 5 of the National Parks of Kenya with a variety of accomodations.
The main strength of African Breeze is the owner Cate....who is determined to provide the best possible experience on each safari. She is excellent at communicating by email in advance, by text and phone in Kenya and in person....she was always available and would follow through with every plan that we made - organizing insurance coverage for the safari and purchasing bus tickets for us and dropping them off where we were staying even after our safari was finished. Indeed she felt like our guardian angel while we were in Kenya and always seemed to be there when we needed her.
Cate has the daunting task of coordinating drivers and visitors and dealing with the unexpected.
We had been expecting to be on safari with another couple but we never got to meet them as they postponed their trip at the last minute. We ended up on our safari with a private driver for the same cost. Spending 7 days together we learned about our driver and he would answer our questions about everything we saw. He admitted that he never knew what each day would hold in store for us....but there was never a shortage of animals or sights to see. Our vehicle was comfortable and we felt very safe. Our only suggestion was that a cooler with cold water would have been nice to have along...also to help keep our picnic lunch cool. We stayed in 4 different locations all well organized and comfortable but each one was unique so an interesting variety. The food ranged from fantastic to very good.... the only exception was the one day picnic lunch which was poor.
We enjoyed our initial 7 day safari so much that we used African Breeze again for a 2 day/1 night trip to Amboseli National Park. Cate organized for us to stay at a perfect camp and provided us with an excellent driver who was very passionate about Kenya and willing to share his knowledge and understanding of the country.
African Breeze made all of our Safari Dreams come true and we are very grateful to Cate for her skills and for her kindness to us.

Over the top wonderful!
Fabulous tour with Aardvark Safaris Tanzania. Our group spent the better part of two weeks visiting Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Oldupai Gorge, the Serengeti, and Lake Eyasi. All our accommodations were unique, welcoming and clean, including four nights at Katikati, a temporary camp in the Serengeti, where we dined in the open air and slept in canvas tents with toilets and showers. Driver guides Augustine and David were superb, with astounding knowledge of birds and mammals. Augustine went out of his way to make sure this trip exceeded our expectations. We've been on safari before. Compared to Aardvark, that earlier safari was more like visiting the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park. This was a true adventure, and we were in the best of hands.

Choose another company
I am somewhat experienced in Kenya/Tanzania budget safaris and therefore have some basis for comparison. And this safari left me dissatisfied in so many nuances. That said, the attitude and paperwork of office is professional. No complains.
But almost everything else left to be very much desired. The weakest point was the camp Blue Mountain is using. Short list of disadvantages:
- First day we arrived to camp after 4 o'clock and were at the gate 15 minutes before 5 in the evening.
- No mobile signal in the camp at all. When you need to organise other things in Kenya, this drives you simply crazy.
- No bar or restaurant to relax after safari.
- Oh yes, the service. When you ask something, you can count you are left to your own devices.
- You can charge your electronic devices in separate house (locked, try to find smb with a key!) where most time all limited number of sockets are used by camp people.
- Hot water (or water at all) was decided by a no-name maasai, who simply decided to close water - no morning shower, no evening shower. Imagine, when you arrive after safari, you are dirty as hell - and there is no water.
- the stuff clearly lacks training , have limited English skills and no understanding what their visitors want.
Can't recommend this company at all.

Tanzania Safari
Our vacation was the best ever! The communications were great and our tour guide was well prepared abs experienced. He ensured we were able to see the big five. The living arrangements were very clean and the service and food was exceptional. I will definitely be referring this company to everyone I know.

Northern Circuit - Tanzania
We spent 5 days in Tanzania during the first week of January 2017. Despite this being the "off season" (not during the Great Migration), we saw abundant wildlife and felt that our experience was truly 5 star. We visited Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park. We saw not only the "Big Five", but countless giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, hippos, gazelles, countless varieties of birds - along with over 50 lions, elephant, African buffalo, cheetah, leopard, and more. The scenery was phenomenal - looked just like the professional travel photos we had seen in advance. Our safari included a visit to a Masai village and Oldupai Gorge (worth it). We stayed in the Serena lodge chain (great accommodations, and lodges blended nicely into the scenery). The roads are mostly dirt and very bumpy - be prepared - and our decision to drive one way and fly back to Arusha on a small regional plane (12 seater) was a good choice. Our guide/driver was highly knowledgable about the area and the wildlife, was a terrific driver, and made our trip. This was our first trip to Africa and the decision to select Tanzania as our safari destination was spot on - would definitely recommend. We travelled in and out of Kilimanjaro Airport and the air and ground service was great. Before you go, invest in a very good pair of binoculars!

Super Safari!!!!

The day started promptly with a very comfortable vehicle turning up on time. Little extras like water and binoculars were greatly appreciated. Our driver and guide for the day was Themba who was fantastic!!
He was so informative and great fun to be with. His knowledge and enthusiasm was infectious both on the journey there and on Safari. He worked tirelessly to find the animals and we saw 4 out the Big Five. Thank you Themba for making day unforgettable.

Wonderful experience
This was our second safari with Flash and we loved it. Every detail was well planned by Flash and they were prompt in answering my many e-mails. We felt very confident using Flash again after our first safari went so well with an excellent itinerary and with an experienced guide. This time we spent 11 nights in tented lodges and camps selected by Flash and they all exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Loy, was the best! He was warm, personable, had a sense of humor and keen eyes for spotting wildlife. He was very experienced and shared his Maasai culture with us adding to our experience. I can highly recommend Flash having booked with them twice and will definitely use them again in the future.

Very good value for money!
We did a 6 day budget safari with Karibu safaris. We Went to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli. Amazing safaris! Prepare for long days in the car though, Kenya is a vast country and traffic is slow.
We chose Karibu safaris due to the reviews on safaribooking.com and everything went according to plan. Our guide was very keen on showing us everything important and we saw so many amazing things! A trip of a lifetime!
As we were travelling on a budget the accomodation was budget and the bathrooms of low standard, not always warm water, toilet that might not flush etc etc. But it was fine for five nights.
The food was plenty but not always super tasty according to our nordic palate. Bring a few bags of crisps and you'll do fine.
I would reccomend that you get a written contract that specifies what's included in your trip and bring it on your tour. We didn't have a problem but other guests (maybe other tour operators, not sure) had discussions about transfers to the airport etc.
Over all I would highly reccomend this safari if you're on a tight budget but want to see as much as possible and don't mind low standard accomodation.
