Safe, professional, reliable, the best!

Kanuth Adventure Safaris encompasses everything you need and want for a great safari. I am the travel coordinator for a non profit called Kulea Childcare Villages and we bring teams to Tanzania. We use Kanuth for our safaris. The vehicles are great and we feel very safe. All of the drivers are experienced, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Their knowledge of the parks and wildlife is excellent! They respond promptly and are focused on customer service. A great safari experience.

Review about Chobe National Park by E_Kister

Our hosts at Muchenje Lodge took us for a day-long on safari to Chobe National Park in an open vehicle that seated 8. Our driver and guide was fantastic! Knowledgeable, a great storyteller, and infinitely patient with the tourists who wanted to stop and snap pictures every 3 minutes. We must have seen over 100 elephants and nearly as many giraffe up close and personal. We saw and photographed an incredible beautiful lilac-breasted roller--the National Bird of Botswana. We could tell from the carrion birds that a lion (probably) had killed something nearby, and the driver did his best to get us there, but it was too hidden among the tall grasses and off the road. I appreciated the fact the driver respected the protections of the park and didn't go offroad into the muddy grass. So excellent all around!

Nairobi to Livingstone 27 Days
5/5

We were in 6 Land Rover Defenders [ including the Guide vehicle ] two people per vehicle, which IMO is a much better way to travel if the alternative is a bus with 20+ others. We found that if we staggered leaving in the mornings then stopping for photo ops, comfort breaks etc didn't bunch the group up and added to the sense of independence, we'd meet up for lunch/fuel and then carry on to the overnight stop. Before setting off each morning Jan and Bella would have a team talk to go over the days route book which gave directions and distances also any known problems along the way i.e. roadworks which have to be experienced to be believed, it all worked really well because everybody made it every day. The vehicles all had two way radios and a pre programmed mobile phone.
Highlights for me were the Masai Mara, Zanzibar, Livingstonia/Lake Malawi, Croc River camp, walking with the Lions and who could forget the Microlight flight over Vic Falls.
Some of the camps were pretty basic but most had very reasonably priced upgrades i.e. the Chalet upgrade at Lake Chala was fantastic. Every one pitched in on a rotational basis to help Bella prepping dinner and breakfast which was a good way to break the ice for a group of ten strangers.
Overall we had a great time and would recommend this trip to anyone with a sense of adventure but also wanting a level of freedom that can only be achieved in your own vehicle.

A great trip north to south with diverse landscape and animals
5/5

Not knowing what to expect on this trip, I found it a great experience . The tour covered Kruger nation park in the north through Swaziland, the battlefields of the Zulu wars and the Drakensberg mountains. A great wealth of animals during the tour was a highlight. The overall tour was made enjoyable by tour leader Darren and his driver/cook. we always knew what was happening and what was going to happen.
I would recommend a short stay in Cape Town to end the tour

Fantastic, amazing, well organised
5/5

Second tour with Compass Odyssey, first one was fantastic, this one was brilliant. Prior to the travel we were kept updated and informed constantly as to what we could expect and what was required. The itinerary showed us some of the very best of Southern Africa. Chobe and Vic Falls were incredible, and our second visit to the Kruger National Park was just as stunning as the first. The Okavango Delta was the most amazing highlight which included a very exciting 30 minute stand off with lions on a game walk. The whole trip was extremely well organised not a glitch in sight. We will travel with Compass Odyssey again, the knowledge and passion of our tour guide Darren Humphrys was key to the enjoyment of this trip.

A perfect oppurtunity to see some of the most endangered species of Africa.

The weather when we were there was amazing, it was a bare able heat in the day whilst staying reasonably warm in the night. We never caught any rain whilst we were in South Africa and so the humidity was good also.
The scenery at Ulusaba was amazing, without the bush over coming us we were able to see a variety of trees around us whilst still seeing a lot of wildlife. The wildlife there was incredible, we saw every animal possible for the region: Leopards, Elephants, Lions, Rhinos, Water buck, Giraffes and even Hyena's and Hunting dogs.
The food there was amazing it was all served hot, with delicious desserts and we were given the option of different meals. We even had the one-off chance to have breakfast in the middle of the bush; pancakes with chocolate sauce.
Our tracker and driver was amazing, funny and telling us the information we wanted to know, even allowing us to pause for photo's whenever we wanted.

We had a great time in Uganda together with Bushmemories and felt very safe all the time.
5/5

We spent 9 days on a Safari-Trip in Uganda with our driver Kenneth from bush memories. We had a lot of fun together and felt very safe on this trip. Kenneth an the people in Uganda itself speak really good english and because we had a driver, he could show us things parallel to the touristic route. We went to a really basic village wich was totally interesting to see an I´m sure we wouldn't have found it without him.
Uganda is such a nice, friendly, beautiful country. The highlight for us was the contact with the Ugandan people and the track to the Gorillas (totally worth it)! To be honest to go on Safari in the Nationalpark and see heeps of animals Kenia or Tansania is better for that.
But Uganda is much more real - and not that touristy like Kenia and Tansania.

Nairobi to Livingstone in an old Land Rover Defender. Fantastic fun on a very well run expedition.
5/5

My best review of Africa Expedition Support is my recommending the trip to two friends who have signed up to do the same trip in 2014. They saw how much my wife and I enjoyed the trip and are keen to do it themselves. Debs, Thiemo and their crew met all of our expectations. Debs communicated well with us pre, during and post the trip so that we were confident at every step. The variety of experiences, accommodation and personalities on the trip were great. The trip leaders were knowledgeable and had the ideal personalities to guide us without leading us, allowing us to feel that we were being somewhat adventurous overlanders whilst still having a degree of oversight and protection. Highly recommended for those with a sense of independent adventure who cannot mount their own overland expedition.
