Very prompt and helpful at every step
5/5

My primary goal of using a safari agency is not so much the vehicle or the guide (these have always been excellent no matter the provider, in my experience) as much as finding a good and reliable deal for a high-end lodge, and Dancom truly delivered in that regard.

They respond quickly and with an abundance of helpful details, their reservation system is simple and easy to work with, and in general they provide you with that valuable feeling of security and knowing that you're doing business with professionals. It was a great pleasure to make some deals through them. I will be sure to continue using their services whenever I'm looking to book anything major in Kenya. Cheers!

Spectacular Private Safari with an Amazing Local Nairobi Tour Company
5/5

Just came back from a 14 night, 16 day safari in Kenya and Tanzania. They worked with us to customize our tour to fit our needs. Seven By Far Travel handled everything including contacting the hotel when I missed my flight connection into Nairobi and locating a jacket left on the plane into Nairobi. The owner was in touch with the guide and us all along the way to make sure everything was 100%. The guide they provided, Nick, was extremely knowledgeable about not just about the animals, culture and Kenya but was an incredible birder. If you want to come to Kenya to go birding, this is the company to use. Safari By Far Travel exceeded our expectations by 200%. I highly recommend this travel company.

Our trip was thru a non profit auction. We knew 4 couples that had previously taken the trip all of whom raved about their experience. We arrived about noon, were escorted to our Hemingway Tented Lodge, which we requested, and went on our first photo safari at 3:00 that afternoon. Each day there is one safari in the morning, meet the guide at 5:45 to 6 and back at the lodge about 8:15 tho 8:30 and one in late afternoon until dark. Meals are available in the morning and evenings after you return from your photo safari and of course at lunchtime.

From the first day our guide, Peace which is the meaning of his Zulu name, was friendly and informative. Anyone who has Peace as their guide consider yourself lucky. The first day we saw a cheetah, many impala, wildebeest, hippos, nyala, zebra, black and white rhinos and giraffe. The next day we saw the elephants. Yes the animals did become repetitive after a few days, but we saw them in a different setting so it was not exactly the same. We did take several side trips including a trip to a nearby preserve and not only saw lions but also a leopard who walked within 10 feet of our safari vehicle. One day we went to St.Lucia for a boat trip on a lake where hundreds of hippos were and then visited the market and the beautiful beach on the Indian Ocean. Another day we visited an elephant rehab facility and the next a big cat rehab facility. Of course the extra trips cost additional but they were worth it for the experiences they provided. All of the extra trips were completely voluntary and were set up by our guide.

Overall we could not have been happier with our experience. Certainly Kruger or some other park may be much bigger, but with a larger area your guide may not be able to put you on all of the different wildlife we were able to see up close and personal.

Great experience with friendly driver
5/5

Me and my friend went with Kenafric Tours for a 1-day safari to Amboseli National Park. Our driver - Ambros (I hope I've spelt it correctly ;)) was friendly and very informative. He has really good eyesight too! ;) He told us everything we wanted to know about the animals, about the customs of the Masaai tribe and about Kenya in general. We would recommend the company and Ambros to anyone! :)

Go with Nature Responsible Safari and support Tanzanians.
5/5

We booked our safari lodgings and cultural arrangements through Nature Responsible Safari and we are certainly glad we did. Francisca was very easy to work with and her arrangements were flawless, everything was set up perfectly and we were even surprised by the high quality of the accommodations for the price.

We couldn't have had a better guide than Casmir Shija, he was very skilled, knowledgeable and experienced and a great guy (and very funny) to boot. Other safari-goers seemed a little jealous of our arrangements and itinerary.

We will do it again as soon as we can!

An experience of a lifetime
5/5

A friend of mine and I booked Safari Trackers Adventure for a safari experience in Tanzania. We went to see Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti! The experience on the 4-day tour was amazing!!! Charles, our guide really accommodated all of our interests so that we were able to see everything we wanted out in the wild! From lions and cheetahs, to even a kill!! We stayed at a lodge, which was absolutely breathtaking and I would highly recommend this company!!!

Wonderful and informative
5/5

I went for the 3 day Masai Mara safari package. It was a beautiful safari. We weren't very lucky with Leopards, Cheetahs and Rhinos but we saw everything else that was there to be seen. The driver/guide had amazing and deep knowledge of the Mara. He balanced the time to take pictures with the time we had to invest in looking for other animals very well. We were some of the few groups to get to see a Male Lion due to the tenacity of our Driver.

The operators themselves were very helpful as they gave me plenty of water to start with and also personally exchanged my USDs to Kenyan Shillings when I forgot to do it the day before and it was too early in the morning for the Forex Bureaus to open at a good rate too!

My point of contact from Steps Adventures was Mr David who was very nice and helpful when it came to informing me about other safaris and the pricing.

Last but definitely not the least, Steps Adventures provided the best deal (in terms of money) of all the other tour service providers. As a student visiting on a limited budget this was very very important to me.

I strongly recommend Steps adventures to anyone looking for a 3 Day Camping safari.

Fantastic bush experience
5/5

What a wonderful guide Rob is. This was a real bush experience ,staying in isolated areas with only animals for company.Rob is so knowledgable and enthusiastic he made the trip much more than any other safari we have been on. The tents are comfortable but not luxury by any means but very well catered by lovely staff. We did 3 nights in the bush camp followed by 2 nights in a luxury camp and then another 3 nights in the bush and i think this was the perfect combination. Would highly recommend Rob and his company to anyone seeking a real 'old school' safari
