Excellent service. Wonderful adventure
5/5

When planning my safari I have inquired in some 25 companies found on Safaribookings. When I was to make a deal with one of them Mohammed from Mega Adventures came after a few days with really nice offer. One remark: sometimes when you try to reach them via e-mail you have to wait a couple of days 'cause Mohammed is out so it is quicker to use WhatsApp. Mohammed arranged us very nice accommodation in line with our budget. The communication was very good, and we got all terms nicely explained and confirmed. Those guys are very good and flexible at handling all customers' requests.
We had wonderful 6 days 5 nights safari in 4 parks. Our guide, Hussein was excellent. Careful driver, huge knowledge of the animals and their habits, the conditions in the parks and the wildlife there. He did not go with the crowd of cars and managed to spot us really incredible game. And a lot of nice birds.
And he was nice and funny, easy going guy.
The car we drove was equipped with everything we needed: huge refrigerator and power supply for phones and cameras, We did not have any unexpected "adventures", which we saw happened to other safari companies on the road to Serengeti.
Highly recommended company to have a lifetime safari adventure with.

A royal journey
5/5

Communications were excellent from very beginning. Due to schedule changes by other tour company and airlines, it was necessary to change Kajie Safaris itinerary Several times and these were cheerfully made without complaint. As a single female traveler I was a bit nervous about traveling alone in Uganda after a single female traveler had been kidnapped just weeks before my arrival. Ronald allayed my fears and assured me we would not be traveling in the area where kidnapping occurred.
From the first moment when Ronald met me at the airport I felt comfortable and was confident I would be well taken care of. I was not disappointed.
The safari van was very comfortable and equipped with WiFi and charging outlet. The six day journey was filled with breathtaking scenery and incredible wildlife sightings. Highlights included an Unforgettable private viewing of mama leopard teaching her cub to hunt, gorilla trek, chimpanzee visit, and an overnight stay in an unbelievably beautiful hotel overlooking a volcanic lake. Everywhere the Ugandan people were gracious and welcoming. I loved every moment of my safari and am looking forward to a future visit.

Friendly, professional, educational, and high-quality safari experience through northern Tanzania
5/5

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Wildways. I did a 9 day safari through Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and the southern and northern Serengeti. Mariki was an amazing guide with extensive knowledge about the wildlife, the culture, and the climate patterns. He did an excellent job getting us the best views of all of the various wildlife including elephants, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, lions, leopards, monkeys, hyenas, birds, hippos, and we were even able to watch the wildabeests crossing the Mara River during their Great Migration. It is definitely clear that Mariki is very experienced and passionate about what he does. He is very flexible with accommodating the trip to be exactly how YOU want it but also gives his input as to what times and activities would provide for the best experiences, which is very much appreciated.
If you are able, I would definitely recommend doing the "Culture Walk" through one of the villages near Arusha. This was a 1-2 hour walking tour through a village that began with a delicious authentic meal prepared by a group of local women. We were also able to see a banana farm, rice paddies, a wood-carving workshop, a painting workshop, and a marketplace. We were able to interact with many of the local residents and get to experience and learn about how life is like for them.
Overall my experience with Wildways was phenomenal and I would recommend it for anyone who is wanting to experience the beautiful country of Tanzania.

Exceeded expectations
5/5

Mr Wilson from day one has been communicating frequently and clearly about our trip details and itinerary and answered all my pre-trip queries in a timely manner. Me and my wife opted for a 8 day safari package to Mara - Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru - Amboseli. Mr Wilson provided us options to choose our hotels and customise our trip and itinerary as needed. As agreed, he was their waiting for us upon our arrival to Nairobi and took us to the hotel that i had booked on our first day.

But the best part of our trip was the guide provided to us. I would specially like to thank Mr Francis, our guide for making our safari a truly memorable one. He was very courteous, listened to all our requests and never seemed pushy like some guides usually are. More so he had very good knowledge about animals, their behaviour, characteristics and a a great trained eye to spot animals in the far distance! I would highly recommend Mr Francis as a guide to all who are reading this review and want to choose Maasai Mara Train.

Suggestions for improvement -

1. Please don't suggest TAPHE guest house at Lake Naivasha for future travellers

2. Walk with animals at Lake Naivasha should be done at Crescent Island which was not offered to us. There is no walk with animals at Crater Island. I don't recommend this to future tourists

General Tip - You can avoid the (optional) boat ride at Lake Naivasha for 20 $ per head. Not worth the time and money.

Amazing weekend trip to Amboseli
5/5

Two friends of mine and I went to Amboseli National park with wildebeest safaris and it was an amazing experience. Noah and his team are great and ensured that our trip was perfect. They responded immediately whenever we had any questions and Paul, our guide, was very knowledgeable, accommodating and fun. I’ll definitely book my next tour with them as well and can highly recommend them.

Allen, our guide, was beyond outstanding; his depth of experience and knowledge is truly astounding.
5/5

Allen Tanzania Safaris was recommended to us by a friend. We expected Allen and his staff to be very good; however, they surpassed our expectations. They were outstanding. Allen was our guide/driver and I think he is peerless as a safari guide/driver. His nearly 30 years of safari experience and his depth of knowledge about the diverse habitats and species of the area made all the difference. Allen helped us see and identify over 150 different species of birds, 2 separate river crossings of wildebeest, rhino, and lions and lions and lions and so much more. If your interest is birds, Allen is your man. If your interest is more than simply wildlife viewing but getting a deeper understanding of the wildlife and ecosystems, Allen is your man. In addition to his extraordinary expertise as a guide, Allen is engaging, friendly, and kind - a wonderful person. His staff, Adam, Amani, and Silas were all extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledeable. In planning our trip, Silas was very responsive, flexible, detailed, and informative. His management of our itinerary was smooth and there was not a single problem or glitch. We've had a wonderful experience with Allen and his staff that we'll never forget and we've made new friends in the process.

Trip of a lifetime!
5/5

I first began speaking to Wild Planet Safari in 2017 - when we arranged our first trip to South Africa, a 10day north to south Kruger tour - March 2018

We were lucky enough to have the owners Ryan & Thale as part of this tour - which was an amazing first safari experience for my grandad & I
I won't go into details, as ive already left a review for this but we decided we would like to return to SA for what will probably be my grandads last big trip abroad and Wild Planet Safari were at the top of our list to get in touch with

Thale wasted no time at all in arranging another fantastic tour for us, this time experiencing the east side of Kruger that we didn't get to see previously.

We began with the panorama route with a brilliant guide, who filled the long drive with humour & stories until we met with Ryan & Thale the next day to begin our drive to Kruger.

We stayed at some of quieter camps this year, including Pafuri Border, Batleur and Tsenze, a rustik camp site - this added so much more to the experience.

I've never experienced another tour company and if im honest, I don't need too - these guys are amazing; they have so much passion about what they do.

Ryan's knowledge of everything about the bush, is something else - any question you have, he'll know the answer.

As for his memory - thats on another level, he remembered the tiniest little details & places of particular sightings from our first visit 18months earlier!

Im unsure when ill returning to SA again, but what I do know is that when I do Wild Planet Safari will be my first port of call.

I cant thank you guys enough for the memories, experience, great food, many funs times and the friendship!

I wish you both all the best for the future and hope to visit again sometime, if you come back to the UK anytime - I'd love to catch up.

Everything well done, Paula in office. Special thanks to the driver, Jimmy, who found so many animals to see.

Suricata provided a unique experience by excellent planning and friendly & professional staff.

Unforgettable 4-day safari

Serengeti -> Ngorongoro -> Tarangire

Driver / Guide: Onesmo
Cook: Benjudah

My wife and I took part in a four-day camping safari in August 2019 (6 people in total). We chose Suricata because from the very beginning we had a very pleasant and obliging contact with Hillary. Also because Suricata had the comparatively best package on offer. For example, during the four-day safari, the night before the start and the night after the end were included in the package.

From the beginning we felt really well cared for. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were met by Prince and Hillary. They answered all our questions and prepared us for the upcoming trip.

The safari was perfectly organized through and through. Onesmo is an excellent driver and very pleasant and experienced guide. We received a lot of knowledge about the animals from him and it became clear that the wilderness with its inhabitants is very important to him.

Benjudah has surprised us every day with breakfast, lunch and delicious dinner that you can hardly expect on a tent safari. He was also a very pleasant and funny companion.

We've seen all five of the "Big Five" of in the four days (a rhinoceros from a distance), four of them already on the first day in the Serengeti. Among other things, we were fortunate enough to see cheetah babies, lion babies and a mating pair of lions. We had the feeling that the animals were always treated with reasonable respect; no wild driving stunts were made, just so that us tourists would get close to the animals.

As a nice goodie at the end, the guys surprised us with huts instead of tents for our last night at Lilac Campsite. After two consecutive nights in ground tents, this was a very welcome change.

The bottom line is that we can fully and completely recommend Suricata without any reservation. Although we have no comparison, we are sure that Suricata is among the best safari providers in the region.
