Great, friendly professional service
We used Afro Dawn Safaris to arrange the Boma Dinner and Drum show, a sunset dinner boat cruise as well as a full day Chobe national park and Chobe river excursions. All I can say is WOW for the smooth and seamless logistics from Afro Dawn. They went out of their way, and even where we had time to kill would take a detour and show us something interesting. All three excursions were amazing! From a logistics point-of-view the Chobe trip required 3 border crossings each way, and with Afro Dawn this was no effort and seamless.
Their staff are friendly, well-informed and happy to share their knowledge of the area.
My greatest thanks go out to Isabella and her team. I will definitely use them again for anything and everything Vic Falls and surrounds!

Wonderful Safari for the price
We had a great 3 day safari with our guide Castro. Castro was great at spotting and promptly getting us great views of the animals. He even negotiated with park rangers to get us closer to a group of lions. We were able to see pretty much all the animals we wanted to except a leopard. We saw lions, cheetahs, a rhino, giraffes, elephants, gazelles, antelopes, warthogs, wildebeests, buffalos and more. Castro was very helpful and knowledgable. He was also helpful in coordinating drop off after the safari. Because of the recent flooding, many of the roads outside of the park were decimated. Castro was able to expertly navigate the roads. The communication was all done via whatsapp, which I think is typical for Kenya. Communication was very clear and we were able to get free pick up and drop off before and after the safari to our lodging in Nairobi. The accommodation was about as expected for a budget safari. The rooms were tidy with a double bed and twin bed with mosquito nets. The bathroom had a toilet and shower with hot water. No bells and whistles but it got the job done. The food was excellent. We had typical Kenyan food: rice, chapatis, lentils, beef, chicken, etc. Beer and soda were available for purchase for about 1 USD each. We had a great group of 8 with people from all over the world. Half the fun of the safari was getting to know the others in our group and learning more about their homes and where they've travelled.

A reliable perfectionist with great attention to detail
I travelled with a girlfriend and her daughter and we were all most interested in seeing as much wildlife as possible in our 15 day holiday!
Darren and Kate put together a terrific itinerary that suited our needs perfectly for our first African experience.
We had the best guides who were always willing and able to tweak the itinerary if need be and imparted so much history and knowledge with us.
All accommodations were outstanding and quite luxurious and the service and food was second to none!
Our first day at Kruger was a feast for the senses and we were so excited to see the big 5 and more - special thanks to Geena our terrific guide!

Excellent experience, it was a perfect safari trip!
Planning and communication leading up to the trip was very prompt and organized. The vehicle was in perfect condition and very comfortable. The itinerary was well planned, we got to see so many different areas it was amazing. Our guide Alex was absolutely phenomenal! He has a talent for finding animals and really went above and beyond what we expected to show us some amazing sights. He has a lot of knowledge about Kenya and its wildlife; we learned a lot from him. My husband and I both agree our 10 day trip was absolutely perfect.
