Great experience in a great location
5/5

These guys have been always helpful, friendly and profesional. They offered us different options for our trip to Uganda and do the gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest. The location where the hotel is, is perfect, just by the lake Mutanda. You can have swim at the lake just after trekking. The rooms/tents were confortable and with all the facilities we needed. A balcony viewing the lake just made the experience unforgettable. And what to say about their staff, they are amazing!! Special thanks to Emmanuel and Alex who made this trip more than special.
Very much recommended if you are thinking on doing a gorilla tracking in Uganda.

Amazing, incredible experience, a lifetime dream with African Ubuntu Safaris
5/5

Organisation, service, communications excellent. Our trip did more than live up to our expectations. From start to finish the organisation was superb, African Ubuntu Safaris went the extra mile to make our trip an unbelievable memorable trip. Everything was organised meticulously and our trip to Botswana and the Samburu game park in Kenya is one that will be remembered for ever by us. Words cannot express our thanks enough to cuan and African Ubuntu safaris for a magic holiday and we look forward to booking another tour with them.

Great last minute decision
5/5

I had a fantastic time on my private tour with Afroriginal Tours. Desiree was very timely, accommodating and helpful in arranging my last minute (2 days before) booking of the tour through Manyara and Ongorongoro.

When my flight was delayed 3 hours, pushing my arrival time past midnight, Stewart, my tour guide remained cheerful even though he had to wait all of that extra time for me to arrive. Much appreciated! He was very knowledgeable about the animals and even spotted a few before we reached Manyara.

Overall it was a great experience.

Amazing Adventure
5/5

We were thoroughly happy with Bestday Safaris and enjoyed all aspects of our recent safari to the Serengeti National park and Ngorogoro crater. Our guide Emanuel was very knowledgeable about all the animals and also the birds throughout the park. We witnessed large prides of lions watching the zebras and basking in the muddy fields. We were fortunate to see the 'big 5' as many do not. Our accommodations in Ikoma tented camp were basic but what a thrill to listen to the close sounds of the animal nightlife! The Rhino lodge in Ngorogoro was very comfortable and the food was extremely tasty. We did do the hot air balloon ride( which was arranged by Peter) over the Serengeti which was one of the most peaceful experiences we have ever had. The champagne and full English breakfast served after the ride was also very memorable We finished our excursion with a day tour to Mount Kilimanjaro which was not just amazing to see but we witnessed climbers and porters as they finished their hard trek to the peak. The outpost lodge in Arusha was comfortable and a great place to relax after the safari. Peter was at our lodge every day making sure things were okay - he certainly wants things done well by his staff and others he works with. I would certainly recommend Bestday Safaris to anyone!

Excellent tour operator
5/5

During the years from 2008 to 2012, when I was lucky to live and work in Uganda, I have travelled quite a few times with the assistance of Pearl Afric Tours & Travel. I got to know the manager Innocent Manda personally. Every time I was very happy with the driver/guide. As I always travelled alone he made me feel special and always tried hard to show me the animals I hoped to see. My trips were always very well organised. I keep unforgettable memories of all the trips I have made, in particular of my very last trip to the mountain gorillas in the Bwindi National Park.
I would recommend this travel agent to everyone who plans to visit the national parks in Uganda!

My first safari experience
Overall rating
5/5

I really enjoyed my trip to Etosha National Park in August last year. We stayed at Mokuti Etosha Lodge which was such a nice place to come back to, relax and enjoy great food after the excitement of a day spent in the park. The breakfast was particularly good, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful (a very noticable difference to some other experiences I've had with the Namibian 'service' culture... I guess it's because there are mostly tourists at the lodge that they've received more/better training?) and the beds were very comfortable. The lodge is located right next to one of the entrances and not far from Namutoni. On our way there we spotted the first animals. We later saw (among others) lots of giraffes, gnus, elephants, zebras (with foals, so cute), and what we believed to be the ears of a couple of lions taking a nap in the bushes.
As it was only mid-August i.e. spring was just beginning, the temperatures were still a bit unsteady. For the first half of our first day, I was wearing jeans and a scarf as well as a thick woollen jumper on top of my (long-sleeved) blouse and still felt cold. However, in the afternoon it became so hot that I took everything off again and basically ended up wearing just my vest as a top. It may have been just me though, as everyone else seemed just fine with the temperatures, but I would definitely recommend wearing/bringing some extra layers of clothing that you can take off or put on when necessary. Other than that I think normal (non-flashy) clothes work just fine as you're not allowed to leave your vehicle anyway.

Well worth two nights and use of the game drive to find way around.
Overall rating
5/5

We stayed at the main camp for two nights to get a whole day of self drive. Upon arrival we checked in ate at the excellent restaurant then booked an evening game drive. This gave me an idea of driving around. On day two we self drove all day, well after exploring the camp with my camera. For lunch we stopped at Jacks picnic site, which was well equipped. Self drive was a good idea as I could focus on what I wanted to photograph, not just seeing the Big Five. Loved the idea of the stop and get out spots, got some really good photos. All the staff were really helpful. Intend to go back and hopefully stay for more than two nights, maybe even do a 4x4 tour. Only down side was the accommodation was not warm in the evening this time of year, but other than that really pleased with the accommodation and the view, we overlooked the park right next to the fence.

Terrific time. The variety of animals seen was beyond our expectations. Reviews that suggest this reserve is limited were off. This was a great experience.

Exceeded expectations
5/5

Bigmac runs a professional and enjoyable safari. I went on the 3-day wildebeest migration safari in the Masai Mara. Anthony, our driver, went out of his way to give us the best photographic opportunities. We got close to a leopard, saw several cheetahs atop a photographer's van, and drove alongside herds of migrating zebras - and were often among the first companies to reach the scene. In addition to the usual lions, elephants and giraffes, the above shots really exceeded my expectations.

Given that I booked the budget option, the lodging was comfortable and the food decent. When one member of my group complained the first night about the bathroom, Bigmac rebooked us into a different camp for the second night. They were attentive to our needs. I highly recommend them to anyone going on a Masai Mara safari.
