We had a wonderful time, got to see all the animals up close, all the accommodation arranged for us was to a high standard and the people are very friendly.

I enjoyed three days in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve in February 2009. We stayed at the Idube that treated us with superb breakfast, lunch and dinner and two 3-hour game drives per day. We had seen all the big-5 and a lot more after only three of six drives! We also had a day of rain which led to flooded rivers and some serious of-roading. Very nice guides and trackers with all knowledge you could ask for. Would love to return.

A trip to remember
5/5

Thank you for a trip I will never forget. I have never seen so many exotic animals in my life. It was a truely amazing experience. We had lots og space in the van we where travelling in to move around and get the pictures we wanted and our guide's had an impressingly amount of knowledge about the wildlife surrounding us. The camping was also a good experience. The tent where more than big enough and easy to set up and take down. Visiting the South African wildlife is defenitely something I will recommend.

Awesome safari trip!
5/5

This is one of the best trips we ever had, and big thanks to Thale and Ryan (wild planet safari) for showing us South Africa!
South Africa is a beautiful country, and we got to see alot! In the national parks we saw the big five many times! Even saw hippos fighting, that was so cool! The service was always good, and these two guids knows everything! If you have a question i bet you $100 they will give you the correct answer! And Ryan(eagleeyes) will spot all the animal, although the animal is hidden far away! This whole trip was an amazing experience, and it's not the last time we're going with Wild Planet Safari on a trip! Thanks guys! :)

Magnus and Christer!

Accommodations - I went through Desert and Delta and really liked all their accommodations and their staff. Everyone was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly at Moremi, out of all the lodges, their staff were the most welcoming and my friends and I had such a good time with them. The food was amazing and they even made a separate dish for my friend who doesn't eat red meat. The tents are very clean and well-maintained and the bathrooms were really nice too. It was funny having a full bathroom in the middle of the wild but I definitely appreciated it.

Weather - it got really cold at night and was cold when we were out on the safari. Definitely bring layers and ask for a hot water bottle for the morning ride! It made a difference.

Scenery and Wildlife - Moremi was by the far my favorite out of the three preserves we visited. We would rarely come across another truck unless there was some really rare wildlife that was hard to spot (ie. a leopardess hunting, a pride of lions, etc). We were incredibly lucky and got to watch a pack of Wild African Dogs hunt and take down an impala, a leopardess stalk and hunt, and a pride of lions who were lounging around after a kill. We also saw zebras, other antelopes, giraffes, elephants, hippos, ox, warthogs, and a lot of rodent type of creatures, plus a lot of birds.

I would definitely love to go back someday!

Kalahari Adventure.
5/5

A special custom adventure (it was so, so much more than a safari!) for my wife and I. Part accompanied self-drive in 4X4 Hiluxes and partly in Wild Planet's customised VW Truck.
Apart from the usual first class Wild Planet food, service and Wildlife spotting we had some major desert adventures, the highlight was Ryan Organising the 4X4 trail in the Kalagadi for the morning of my wife's Birthday, she loved driving those dunes - then to cap it we saw lots of Meerkats (very close!) - her favourites.
Personally I loved watching the lions hunting in Pilanesburg and found the desert scenery absolutely breath taking.
We saw so many different species and had such a wonderful time that we have made our minds up to travel with Wild Planet again and again. (This is the third trip we have done with Ryan and they just keep getting better.)
If you want a tailor made Safari with the most knowledgeable guides I have met go no further than Ryan and Thale of Wild Planet.

Great Safari experience at Kruger
5/5

Dear Safari friends
The tour with Thale & Ryan from Wild Planet Safari was awesome. They made us feel welcome and home from the first minute. They just cared for everything pick-ups, transfers, food and of the best camping spaces available. The tents provided were big enough to stand upright and very spacious. Their knowledge about the animals, birds, trees and plants were overwhelming. I never expected to see so many lions and rhinos - and Ryan even spotted cheetas for us - even though they were far far away. We saw lots of things we would never have seen while driving by ourselves. Being able to look at lions while they were feeding themselves with a buffola was a great experience.. especially seeing how people may react seeing something sensational like that.. Thale is an excellent chef and she spoiled us with delicious meals. And as they were baking own bread with a bread maker carried around in the van.. we did not even miss delicious bread! We enjoyed the trip very much - going home was very hard! But as we missed wild dogs and leopards ... there is always a reason to come back ;-) .. - I will for sure be back sometime to share another tour with you! Thank you very much Thale & Ryan.
