Do Not Use This Company!
In order to write this review, I had to put in a date of Travel, so I used May 2024, but July 2024 was the anticipated time of travel. But I have no tours booked with Honest Travel Experience for July 2024 at this time. That is because of the negative experiences I have had with them in the booking process. In short, I advance the money to book a day trip to Durban during my upcoming trip to South Africa. The trip was never booked, and I have yet to get my money back. This is despite several months of WhatsApp conversations with one of the owners of the company who is named Tye. He constantly makes promises to pay, and has yet to pay. We even had a date certain of April 19 when he was supposed to pay me and he let that day go by without payment. There was always an excuse for why the payment could not be made. Now he just ignores my WhatsApp messages, and I have yet to be paid. I have involved the South African, tourism government entity, and they have reached out to him as well, and he promised them that he would make the payment, but again has yet to pay me back. I have read many many mixed reviews on this company, and while some are good, this has been my experience with this company. So buyer beware. If you do book with this company, I would suggest doing it through a Travel site, with guaranteed free cancellation and refunds. Do not advance the money. They will just take it, and not book the trip that you planned, and leave you hanging. They will act like your friends, but they are not your friends. It is my belief that they are just out to take the money of unsuspecting tourists like myself. While my trip is still planned, this negative experience has definitely put a damper on it, and leads me to believe that no one in the South African tourism industry can be trusted. Also, beware of a former employee of theirs, whose name is Sean. He left the company under spurious circumstances, and now represents himself to be a tour guide under the name of Sky Travel and Tours. He also took my money upfront for tours and merchandise, and as basically disappeared on me. So if you see any advertisements for Tours by him or this so-called company, I would be extremely wary of that also. Good luck, fellow travelers…

Unforgettable lifetime memories
We really enjoy the Safari trip, as long as I told them where I wanted to go they thoroughly informed me everything. Each location that I stayed at was enjoyable as I let them choose it for me. Our guide Shafino was helpful and tried to make the most meaningful of our time spent. This was a lifetime experience with incredible never to forget memories. “Serengeti shall not die”.

Best first safari trip experience ever!
The safari was AMAZING! From beginning untill the end i enjoyed every minute of the ride! We saw a lot of animals and the driver really tried to show us the best spots and they communicate with eachother so they can let eachother know if they find any animals. It was arranged really good to give us visitors the best experience. So if i come back diffenitely with mountain warriors again! And special thanks to Rosemary that helped me out several times from the first moment i booked the trip months before i went to arusha untill after the trip! 🥰 will never forget this!

Just Excellent!
I spent 6 days in Rwanda & DRC and enjoyed every moment of the trip! Eraste was extremely helpful during the whole planning process. The activities were well organized and the hotels were the perfect places to relax. Highly recommended! I am already planning the next trip with Empirical Tour and Travel!

Africa Starpal Safaris exceeded my expectations in every way! The communication throughout the booking process was excellent, and the team was incredibly responsive to my questions and requests. The value for money was outstanding – I couldn't believe how much was included in the price.
The accommodations were comfortable and well-located, and the food was delicious. But the highlight of the trip was definitely the wildlife viewing. We saw an incredible variety of animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and zebras. Our guide, Glen, was knowledgeable, passionate, and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience.
I highly recommend Africa Starpal Safaris to anyone looking for a memorable and affordable safari experience. You won't be disappointed!

Mazingira Safari, along with Johari, Jacob and Simon (our guide) provided an exceptional customized safari for us for 6 days in May 2024. Highly recommend them and the tours are all customizable! They went above and beyond to ensure our safety, comfort and joy - throughout the entire trip. Simon was our guide - absolute best! He has a keen eye for spotting animals as well as awareness to the groups needs. Request him!

An incredibly smooth safari experience
My partner and I were thoroughly impressed from the beginning by the well-structured itinerary. As this was our first experience, we were quite apprehensive about selecting a company amidst the overwhelming options available. However, our communication with Maggie was exceptional—swift and responsive to all our needs as they arose. Muturi, our driver, was simply outstanding, accommodating our unusual requests and making our 10-day journey thoroughly enjoyable. This experience was absolutely worth every penny.
