A culturally inspiring and adventurous experience of a lifetime!
5/5

I had the joy of going on a weekend safari hosted by Jafari and his colleagues to Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara national park, and it was one of the highlights of my trip to Tanzania! They were all extremely knowledgeable not only about the animals, but also about the local Masaai culture.
On our drive out we stopped at a Masaai village where we were welcomed with a traditional dance and then got to tour their village, which to this day is still one of the most powerful cultural experiences I have ever had. Jafari’s team was mindful to orient us prior to the visit so that we knew how to gratefully recognize their hospitality. In each game park our guides knew exactly where to find not only the larger animals, but I was amazed at how they could spot birds and reptiles perched in trees or along river banks out of the corner of their eyes while (safely!) driving! During the animal sightings they would share bits of information about the animals, proof of their wealth of native expertise. They gave us time to get all the pictures we could ever dream of, also offering to take pictures of us ON safari – always an important picture to remember!
All of these things are an essential part of a safari, but what made the whole experience was how gracious, kind, laid back and truly “Tanzanian” the whole team was. The camping accommodation was comfortable and clean, the food prepared by the cooks in the team was DELICIOUS and beyond my expectations, and they made us feel welcome and cared for in the relaxed African style. I have recommended his team to my friends who are keen to go on a safari, and I plan to travel back some day to go on another adventure with Jafari! Wageni, mwakaribishwa, Tanzania yetu, Hakuna Matata!!

we had our lifetime experience with safari big5

It was one of the most amazing trips we had, from the hotels we were given, the food, hospitality and most of all his full time communication with us and the driver during the trip, incase of any problems he would solve them right away and made our trip just the way we wanted !

Beautiful hotels that we were given in serengeti, ngorongoro and karatu, not forgetting the tour drivers which we had who made the trip worthwhile.

I would surely recommend anyone for their tours in Tanzania , No one knows Tanzania better than Safari big5 (y)

South Africa has a world in one. They have a vast park system that is accessible, well maintained, well provisioned, and friendly. SA is especially good for the first time visiter to Africa.

I have travelled many thousands of kilometres across Southern Africa and visited numerous game and nature reserves. Each region has it's own beauty and diversity. From whale watching to mountain hiking, to desert and the big five.
Enjoy your holiday :)

Excellent to see game. The park is renown for its Black and White rhino, the latter which were saved from near extinction in a capture programme pioneered in this park and many subsequently translocated to other parks. Regretfully rhino are once again under extreme pressure due to increasing demand in the East for rhino horn and many have as a result been brutely killed by poachers. Elephant, Lion, Hippo and Buffalo may amongst other be seen, and if really lucky Leopard. The Greater St Lucia Park is within a short distance where Hippo and Crocodile may be seen.

Madikwe is a hidden gem in South Africa. South Africa was easy to navigate by car even though we had to drive on the opposite side of the road. My husband and I felt safe the entire trip.
