Wonderfull safari with Makasa
5/5

We asked for a detailled ,personel safari for 4 adults and one child where the highlight should be "the migration" around Serengeti.
We got more than we asked.
Good lodges, driver, communication, services (airport),and value for money.
Thank you Selma.

“Friendly-Excellent company that goes above and beyond”
5/5

Went on safari and Kilimanjaro climb with Africa Migration safaris. Excellent experience. Africa Migration safaris was the most responsive of the several companies we contacted to ask about trip options. Julias, the co-owner personally handles correspondences, and you can tell she cares. When out airline lost our luggage, Julias and his staff helped to ensure we got it back before our Kili climb, even though it was Saturday afternoon and the office was closed.

Safari and Kili climb were both well planned and executed. We highly recommend Africa Migration safaris for Safari and Kili climb.

“A wonderful trip with a wonderful tour company”
5/5

I highly recommend Elakn safaris to anyone who wants to do safari in Tanzania.

I emailed to many agents before the trip. Elkan was very responsive, patient and detailed. Elkan offered inexpensive price, lowest deposite percentage and most convenient way of payment. It did not ask for extra charge for deposit by credit card unlike the 6-7% extra charge requested by other tour companies. The main camp they recommended Serengeti wild Camp is excellent. It was the best accomodation we had in the trip. Elkan is also flexible with changing the accomendation. Before the trip, I told them I wanted to change the lodge in Arusha. They were very happy to make change.

During the trip, our guide Msemo was excellent, with good knowledge of all kinds of animals. He was also very responsive to our requests. He had been a tour guide for more than 7 years. He was also an experienced driver and once saved us from being stuck in mud.

We had a good time in the safari. Many thanks to Elkan!

An amazing experience

Whilst staying on a local private game reserve we went into the Kruger on 2 days. I don't know whether we were just lucky or if its always like this, but we saw so many amazing sights on both occasions. We were helped hugely by having an excellent guide and driver on both occasions. I really think this is key to having a great experience. They know the animal behaviour and can spot so many animals we would have missed if we were on our own. Their knowledge of the park will have also helped massively. On both occasions we found the park to be quiet with not too many other vehicles to contend with. This was a concern of mine before going. We did find a few crowds where there were 5-10 other vehicles, but these were on the main paved roads where there were leopards, cheetah or elephants in water holes. The rest of the time we just explored and mostly were the only vehicle watching the animals. On both days we were there we saw the big 5 and so much more. A brief list of animals we saw whilst there includes: Lions, Cheetah, Leopard (3 in trees, one hunting), Jackal, Wild Dogs, Hyena, Elephants, Zebras, Giraffes, Buffalo, Ostriches, Vultures, Birds of Prey, Kudu, Impala, Steenbok, Nyala, Wildebeest, Warthogs, Waterbuck, Crocodiles, Hippos, countless birds, a couple of species of mongoose, baboons, monkeys, white rhino. We were also fortunate enough to see a black rhino. One thing to note is that it is well worth arriving as the gates open and leaving just before they close. The animals are out and moving around best when its a bit cooler and tend to stay out of the heat of the day a bit. It can be quite chilly at this time so warm clothes are advised and it can get stiflingly hot in the middle of the day. The area we visited was entering through the Orpen gate and heading North and South from Santara. It was September and incredibly dry which made viewing animals easier. All in all we found it a wonderful place and are thinking of saving for another trip, perhaps in a different season.

Matoke made our Tanzania trip a wonderful experience
5/5

Great advice. Quick service. We already had a good pre-experience with Matoke advice. And our Safari through the NP's of Arusha, Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti only confirmed. Combined with a great stay at Zanzibars Stone town and beaches. Wonderful.

Wildlife is definitely better than Balule, but there are more tourists as well. All roads are paved.

Because of the drought, wildlife is a little bit less than Kruger, but the bush vibe is great because of the small unpaved roads. It felt very private as there were only a few operators in that area. It is a very nice addition to the day in Kruger as you're allowed in all day and night.
