Exotic Safari Experience
Thanks to Rapheal our our tour guide for an excellent safari experience and booking us in one of the best camps available in Masai Mara, "Base Camp Explorer".
The only complain is about the vehicle, a Nissan Van which could have been better to beat the terrain drive of 100 kms. Its better to have vehicles with better suspension for such roads, something like a land cruiser maybe.

Professional, well organised with great drivers
From the moment we were picked up from our hotel until the very end of the safari, we were all very impressed with the high standards we experienced on our trip. The jeeps used by the company were spacious and in very good shape and also seemed secure when compared with other companies' jeeps with open sides, especially when getting close to the lions! There was lots of driving involved but at all times our drivers kept us informed as to the plans and also had a lot of very interesting local knowledge that they shared with us during the trip. The accommodation was great, huge military style tents with our own toilets and showers, plus the food at the butembo lodge laid on by Bobby was very welcome after a long day in the cars. All in all this company removed any stress we had about the trip so that we could relax and enjoy ourselves, I would consider it very good value for money and would definitely go with them again. Special mention must go to our driver Capande who made every attempt to fulfil our requests when we said we wanted to see elephants or lions etc. and was a lot of fun on the long car journeys!
Amazing experience with African Welcome Safaris
From day 1 Kathi was extremely helpful in booking our safari at Kapama River Lodge. With so many safaris to choose from, Kathi was able to provide us some options that best suited our needs and preferences while also giving her advice on which ones she thought we'd like the best. We ended up booking a 4 day safari at Kapama River Lodge and couldn't be happier with our experience. All of the details were taken care of in advance (by Kathi), allowing us to have a relaxing and fun time on safari. Amazing opportunity to see diverse wildlife
The wildlife in Ngorongoro is amazing. You'll have no trouble finding zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, lions, hippos, elephants and many others. I wasn't lucky enough to see a rhino in the crater but we did see a cheetah which apparently are fairly rare inside. The weather was beautiful. It was somewhat windy and around 25 degrees Celsius. We stayed in the Serena hotel at the top of the crater which had great views into the crater. It had especially lovely sunrises. Meals were typically a buffet salad and dessert bar with a small selection of main dishes to choose from. They were quite good. Breakfast was also a buffet. We traveled with Rashidi from Leopard Tours who was an excellent guide. He was well versed in all the various animals and birds that we saw on our tour and he searched very diligently to find all the animals we wanted to see.

Since the park can be accessed by civilian cars, rules have to be better enforced around parking near the animals. We stumbled across a female lion being surrounded by 15 cars. Some of them actually parked on the Savannah, which is against the rule. And also, 3 of the cars parked only about 10 feet away from the lion.

Exceeding my expectation
This is my first safari so I went without any expectation. I booked the trip specifically to see the animal migration and I wasn't disappointed at all. During my 5 days visit, I managed to see 3 different animal crossings. The park itself is amazing. There are just wildlife's everywhere, all around you, at any time of the day. It's a photographer's dream to come to this park.
