Kilimanjaro climb
5/5

My son and I climbed the Kilimanjaro at the end of January, by the
Lemosho route. We wanted to go with a locally owned outfit (all
climbs are done by locally owned companies) as we did not see the
benefits to pay an outfit that was not the one actually managing the
climb. From the start African Traits was great. Since we did not
know anything about the climb, we had a number of questions. They
were typically answered in less than 24 hours, regarding of the time
and day. Everybody we met from African Traits was very friendly, and
extremely attentive to our needs. They absolutely wanted us to
succeed. The timing all along was perfect, we never had to wait.
Martin, the cook was excellent. The service was superb, and from
every participant there was an eagerness to be the best at what they
were doing, and to improve if in any way possible.

We had decided to do the climb in seven (7) days because of potential
problems with the altitude, but everything went so well that we did it
in six (6) days. The Barranco wall was not a challenge (this was one
of my concerns as I am sensitive to heights).

As we had some extra time, we also went on a one-day safari in
Tarangire national park. Our guide (Ben) was extremely knowledgeable
and also helped us see all the “big animals” that can be seen in this
park.

I have never seen such competence and customer service and highly
recommend African Traits and his general manager Godfrey Willy.

Great option for budget travelers
5/5

I solo traveled to Kenya and decided to go with Karibu because of its competitive price, especially as a single traveler. I was lucky to have been paired with a great group of other travelers as well from all over the world. Robert was very quick to respond to any emails or questions. I booked 2 months in advance and did not know what to expect as it was my first time to Kenya. I did 2 nights in the Masai Mara and 1 night in Lake Nakuru. There was some confusion at the tented lodge in the Mara, where they had overbooked and some people had to share a tent with a stranger when they were told they would get their own. Food was standard, although I would suggest that they have more non-meat options. The hotel in Lake Nakuru was excellent, with access to a pool as well as decent restaurant. One area I think Karibu could improve on would be the organization of the passengers. On our way back from the Mara we had to do a couple of passenger swaps based on who continued onto Nakuru which delayed things a bit. For the price, I think this was a great budget option. The drivers were also very friendly and knowledgeable.

5/5

The staff at Karibu Safaris are very kind. They totally lived up to our expectations. We had a very good trip and saw all the animals at the safari. Our driver was so cool and we felt protected when we were with him. Thank you for the experiences, I will definately recommend you to other people who are visiting Kenya.

Awesome Safari!
5/5

We booked our safari through the Serengeti with Bush 2 City and could not have been happier. They were very accommodating and had very friendly staff. Booking with them was very simple and they responded quickly to our questions. Our driver and chef were really cool and we had a great time. I can't say enough good things about the company or the safari. I would highly reccommend Bush 2 City, and will certainly use them again if I go on another safari.

Kind service, we got exactly what we had in mind
5/5

We did a daytrip to Tarangire National Park and everything went smoothly from the first contact to the trip itself. We communicated via telephone, eMail and SMS and all questions were answered and problems solved really quickly. The team was flexible and organized a wonderful trip for us. They provided us with a competent, friendly driver / guide, a good car and a yummy packed lunch.

An unbeatable honeymoon in Uganda
5/5

Patience from Advanced Tours and Travel did a superb job of organising our honeymoon. Every location was superb and the care she went to in order to ensure we had a magic time was second to none. The driver she organised, Sunday Godson, was brilliant. He went above and beyond on every occasion and together they ensured we had the holiday of a lifetime. I would recommend both to any travellers hoping to safari in Uganda or other East African countries.

Marred Vacation Experience
2/5

My husband and I planned this trip for about three years; we are retired educators. The trip included two weeks in South Africa(Capetown, Safari, and the remainder of the trip spent in Victoria Falls. The first two weeks of the trip went very smoothly, and we had an excellent experience. Our nightmare began after the Victoria Falls part of the trip. When my husband and I arrived to the Victoria Falls Airport for the return flight to JoBurg for the connecting flight to the USA, South African Air could not process my husbands reservation. We waited for two hours anxious, and stressed to get the reservation corrected. South African Air blamed
Go Touch Down, Go Touch Down blamed South African Air. There were two other individuals in our party and on the same reservation. My husband and I dealt with Go Touch Down; all of the arrangement were made by this travel agency. They readily took our money for this trip, promising a quality experience. When contacted, and asked to refund some of the money,(800.00) they sent us $25.00 which was suppose to cover failure to provide an aisle seat for my husband on the return flight. We were informed by Go Touch Down that South African Air charged for a seat on the Aisle. Needless to say the Vacation was marred, and should not have been. I understand that mishaps occur. I also expect to be made whole when treated poorly. Deon Barnard, President/CEO was useless in helping us. I share this information, so that potential clients will know that should something go wrong, Go Touch Down will not do the right by you. Please contact me if you have questions or wish more information about our experience.
