Simply a reliable and experienced tour operator
A friend of mine and I booked a safari tour to Masai Mara through Jocky Tours and Safaris at the last minute, just in the late afternoon the day before the safari trip began the following morning. We found this tour operator through internet searching and decided to book through them after reading good reviews from fellow travelers. Like those reviews, we were satisfied with their service and professionalism.
We traveled in a 4WD open-rooftop Land Cruiser jeep with 5 other travelers, so there were 7 travelers altogether plus a driver named Charles. Unlike other travelers in the same jeep but booked their safari package tour through other tour operators, we were picked from the hotel where we were staying and returned to our hotel after the 3-day safari tour concluded. Other travelers finished their safari trip at the meeting point nearby the tour operator's office and had to find their own transport back to their hotel. Our package also included lunch that we had on the way back to Nairobi on the third day. Others had to pay their own lunch that day. Though the lunch was kind of very simple buffet with not many food selections, but it was still nice to learn that we did not have to pay extra for it. :)
The safari tour itself was awesome and exciting. Charles, our driver, is a very nice person, friendly, and patient. He is an experienced and safe driver. He is also very informative and knowledgeable about animals found in the Masai Mara National Reserve. He explained to us characteristics of the animals and how to differentiate male and female giraffes or zebras, for instance. He also understands that we, travelers, would be excited if we could be as close as possible to the animals. He managed to get our jeep stop so close to the animals, the closest among other vehicles doing the same safari trip.
As this was my first safari trip, I found it very interesting and exciting. We were also blessed with good weather when we were there doing the safari trip. We had bright and sunny days the whole three days with only small showers in the evening that did not last long.
In sum, we had a good time in Masai Mara and enjoyed the safari trip that we had with Jocky Tours and Safaris. We would certainly recommend this tour operator to you who want to experience the safari trip.

Amazing
This company is amazing, the staff is so kind en nice. We did 4 days safari with our guide rocky. He was so good, he did everything so we could see all of the animals. All of the hotels we stayed were very nice and clean. We stayed at the Suricata boma lodge, it was amazing. And the other lodge in the national parks were amazing too. So I barely recommend Suricata safari. You can book a safari here with no doubts.

Fantastic knowledge and fantastic Safari
In April 2023, my wife and I and our two sons did a four day safari in the Mara triangle and we had Edward as our guide for the four days. We flew in from Diani Beach and he collected us from the small airstrip in his Safari land cruiser. This vehicle was in very good condition and you could tell this was his pride and joy. Edward was very flexible & allowed us to tailor our itinerary to suit what we wanted to do and that was typically a game drive in the morning after breakfast. Back to our hotel or another hotel for lunch, and then an afternoon game drive. We are fortunate that we have been to many African countries and done safari in many different places and I can honestly say that Edward is the most impressive guide. Firstly, he's got the most ridiculously incredible eyes, almost like binoculars where he was able to spot lions from a couple of miles away hiding in the shadows. Edward is the son of a Maasai chief and lives in the park so he knows every square centimetre like the back of his hand. We were very fortunate that we were, one of the few vehicles to actually spot a male leopard and also a female leopard protecting her cub from the male. She had a kill stashed in some trees which she sacrificed in order to save her cub from the advancing male leopard. Edward was always the 1st guide to find any animals during our four days and would kindly phone the other drivers to let them know our location so they could also share the joy of seeing some animals with their guests whether that was leopards, lions or elephants. I believe we were the only people to see a Cerval cat as they are very rare and elusive. I can highly recommend Edward & his tour company as I genuinely believe he is the best safari guide in the Mara triangle. He has personally vetted & trained the other guides to be effective trackers and accommodating guides for their guests. You will have a fantastic and memorable safari.

wonderful safari
We chose a 3 days safari at Mikumi Park. Magnificent park in this season, early June, after the rains. From the pick-up from our hotel to the park, the organization was perfect. The transport from Dar Es Salaam to the park by car was a bit long, but the driver was very careful. We were very happy to have this guide, very pleasant and attentive, he knew how to choose the right times and the right places to observe as many animals as possible. Wonderful experience.

Excellent experience all around, 10/10
I recently completed a two day tour with Kaara Adventures — one day in Volcanoes NP in Rwanda to see the golden monkeys and the second day in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda to see the mountain gorillas. Farouk, our driver and guide, was incredibly kind and helpful and knowledgeable, making sure everything along the way was perfect. He offered to stop as much as we liked to take photographs along the drive and answered all of our questions about life in Rwanda and Uganda. Before our treks, he made sure we had all that we needed including water and packed lunches. If you can complete the tour with Farouk, I highly recommend this. Leading up to the trip, the staff at Karaa Adventures were extremely responsive via email and WhatsApp, so I never really had any doubts that I wasn’t in good hands. The gorilla trek in Bwindi easily ranks as one of my top favorite travel experiences to date. Grateful to Farouk and to Kaara Adventures for such a great experience. Strongly recommend.

Perfectly organized safari with Godson. Great adventure on our honeymoon!
On our honeymoon we went on a safari tour with Godson… and it was the best time of our lives!
Great organisation, perfect time spent together: Godson is very well prepared both for knowing everything about nature and for every situation that could happen in a pretty wild environment.
We recommend to go on a safari with Godson!!
We would love to go back in time and live this adventure all over again!!
Thank you :)

An unforgettable trip
Incredible experience with them, from the beginning via email they were very kind and always responded quickly, they also allowed us to adapt the safari according to our needs.
Once in Tanzania the experience was unbeatable, especially thanks to Endeni our guide, who at all times was very attentive to us, he is very patient and made an effort to get to see all the animals we wanted (including the Big five) investing the time that was necessary. He also has a lot of knowledge about animals and national parks that he explained to us throughout the tour, it was a real pleasure to be with him.
The hotels included were excellent, highly recommended the experience of sleeping in Serengeti and Ngorongoro.
Thank you African Big Cats for exceeding our expectations and making such a special trip so easy for us. We would definitely recommend you 100%.
