Great experience in the Serengeti
5/5

We were Pumba's first clients and had a wonderful trip in november 2016. It was a spectacular experience. Edwin is an excellent guide, who knows where to be at the right time. We saw almost everything we hoped to see, only the rhino was too shy :-). The lodges were amazing! The organization was excellent. Edwin is a very nice and fun guy! He knows everything about the animals and plants - so your questions will all be answered ! We will definetely come back to finally see a rhino and to experience the big migration. Thanks a lot and see you soon !!

Wonderful wildlife and landscapes of Tanzania...only the first!
5/5

We spent our first safari and first tent experience this summer in Tanzania with Taste Of Afrika Tours & Safaris and we could not ask for better! It has fully answered to our requests and met all our expectations. First of all Seka was very patient in answering all of my questions and providing me advices during the planning of the trip. Then all the staff was present and helpful from our arrival at the airport until departure.
We spent 6 nights and 7 days with our tireless guide and the cook who took care of us by providing everything we needed and answering our requests. We had the opportunity to observe many animals and different landscapes, but above all to assist the big migration of the gnu crossing Mara River. Finally we also lived the incredible encounter with Lake Eyasi tribes.
I highly recommend Taste Of Afrika Tours & Safaris and camping safari as a real 24 hours nature experience. I hope to go back soon for a new adventure with them.
Hakuna Matata!

Lovely Safari with Lovely People
5/5

We are a group of four girls who have just finished a four day safari covering Lake Manyara, Serengeti and then Ngorogoro Crater. We booked through Trip Advisor Africa Safaris and the company who brought us out was SandLand Tours. Ziggy was our driver and Fena was our chef! We had a fantastic time, ziggy could point out animals miles away and Fena fed us fantastically. There was zero hassle and when our car had a flat tire it was changed and we were on the road again in 20 minutes. Tents and car are not the most luxurious but we are students looking for a budget safari and it went beyond our expectations. 5/5 for value for money and 5/5 excellent service.

Serengeti? Savannah Explorers!
5/5

My wife and me decided to visit Serengeti (an old dream of my wife) with my daughter that is twelve years old. We contacted Savannah Explorers, advised by friends and that was a good advise. From the beginning, the contact was simple, direct and kind. We told our ideas and Roberto proposed the accommodations, the parks to visit and the best itinerary. The guide, Maulid, was very friendly and a expert in all kind of birds. He knew all the names in english and in italian! The driver, Manase, was also a great expert in all the situations. There is no problems in traveling with kids and Roberto and Floriana were always available to respond to every question.

Terrible experience!
1/5

1. I said we are a group of six. I found out that this company booked us 2 triple rooms intead of 3 double rooms. Simon, the boss of this company, first said that he had told me in email, which was not true. Then he said this is reasonable because I hadn't made it clear that I need 3 double rooms. Finally he said he need 136$ per person, which is 816 $ in total, to change it to double rooms for the rest 2 nights.

2. The first guide is not fluent in English and poor in experience. He took us to Masai Mara at 4.30 p.m. (it should be 3 p.m.) He first decided to take us to the lodge, then changed the direction and took us directly to the NR, so we again wasted a lot of time. He borrowed Shilings from us to buy tickets because he only had US dollar. He took us back to the hotel at 8.10 p.m. when we were super hungry.

Amazing safari
5/5

We had an amazing 5 day, 4 night safari with Lomo Tanzania Safari from pickup from the airport to the end of the safari. Our guide was courteous and funny. He asked what we wanted to see and made sure that we saw the Big Five. The accommodations and food were great - it was so good to have a hot meal, instead of cold sandwiches. I highly recommended them for a safari and will use them again.

Fantastic six day safari
5/5

In July 2017 we (a family of 4) went to Arusha. From there we wanted to visit some National Parks and so I contacted Caracal Tours & Safaris, a company that I had found on the internet. The contact was very pleasant. After we had submitted our wishes, Marion suggested a six day safari with a visit to Lake Manyara, Serengeti NP, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire NP. We chose to go camping (basic campsites, good, but sanitary facilities not always clean). Caracal arranged the camping gear for us: 2 man dome tents, field beds with extra mattresses, pillows and sleeping bags. We slept very well, although it was very cold at Simba campsite at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Ben was our guide/driver and Albert our cook. We really enjoyed our trip: the beautiful nature and so many animals, some of which we saw really close to the car! While driving, Ben spotted many different animals, often long before we saw them. He usually knew exactly which animals we saw and if he did not know, he looked it up in a book. We saw many big animals, but also smaller ones like rock hyraxes, African fish eagles and a dwarf mongoose. On route we could stand still as long as we wanted and had plenty of time to take pictures or simply enjoy the view. Exceptionally beautiful were the hunting lions, the cheetah with cubs and the sunrise over the Serengeti.

Our meals were fine as well. Every morning a good breakfast (toast, peanut butter, jam, honey, eggs, sausages, pancakes, fruit). In the afternoon sometimes a picnic, sometimes lunch at the campsite. And in the evening a nice meal with soup beforehand. (I'm not a lover of soup at all, but they were all delicious!) And as far as I know, all made on a single burner cooker!

Marion, Ben and Albert, thank you very much for this fantastic unforgettable trip.

Our first great safari
5/5

It was our first safari. But we really liked it. Simon is very responsible to all our requests. Helped to choose the best option for a safari, as well as a convenient payment system. Everything was organized at a high level. Our guide Anthony is very experienced. It seemed that he knew all the roads and all the best places. We look forward to our new trip together with Mwema Africa Safaris.

Amazing and educational walking safari in pristine area
5/5

I participated in 2 safaris on this (my first) trip to Africa. The Walking Stick Safari involved 4 nights at a very nicely set up tent camp on a small island near Chief's Island. Philimon picked me up at the airport in Maun and took me to my lodging for 1 night in Maun. The following morning, we took a beautiful boat trip to the bush camp. Philimon, BK (my guide) and Jo (the camp chef) were all very professional and competent. I traveled as a single female and within a couple of hours I felt right at home, perfectly safe and comfortable. Mornings and afternoons we would travel by mokoro or speed boat to a neighboring island and explore. They were very interested in helping me see the animals I was most interested in seeing. They were always aware of our surroundings and made safety a priority. I was thrilled to be able to see zebras, giraffes, elephants, hippos, crocodile, hyenas, antelope and numerous birds. Elephants were quite numerous and it was a thrill to see a family of females attempt to cross the river with babies. Because this was a walking safari, the terrain was intact and the area was quiet. We only encountered one other tourist group during the entire 4 days I was there - and that was for a very brief period. BK and Philimon are very, very knowledgeable about the animals and plants and their interactions within the ecosystem and I was honored to be able to learn so much from them. They are born and raised in the delta and the experience they provided far exceeded my expectations. In comparison to the traditional safari I did subsequently at Machaba Camp, the Walking Stick Safari was so much more fun and authentic. I absolutely recommend Walking Stick Safari for anyone looking for a more peaceful, engaging, authentic and relatively inexpensive safari than what can be had at a typical lodge.
