Best trip ever
It was so easy and stressless to plan our Safari with Godfrey and his Team. Everything was as we planned it. No it was even better.
Not exactly roughing it
Worked with Nadine to put together the exact trip we were looking for. I had many questions and she answered them all. I had a lot of input since we had been on African safaris before and wanted something different. She guided me towards okavango delta which was beautiful, breathtaking and very interesting. It is unlike any place you will ever go. Nadine explained each camp in detail and helped me select three wonderful camps with amenities we were looking for. All met or exceeded our expectations.
At first I was concerned about dealing with this company but they came through with every request and provided a trip of a lifetime.

A much anticipated trip of a lifetime that exceeded all expectations
As two women in our fifties it had been a lifelong dream to travel to Africa. we choose Transtrek from safari bookings and from the first quote to our eventual departure the service was great.
Daniel Francis took our wish list and made it reality. we wanted to see as many different habitats on a two week safari. thanks to Daniel our trip was just what we had ordered a private tour that was planned around our needs on a daily basis. we felt very pampered
Our guide Peter pick us up from the Airport and was was with us on our safari which took us from Amboselli to Tsavo west and East and from lake Nakuru, Lake Navaisha to the Masai Mara.
I can only say that Peter was brilliant he was extremely knowledgeable and took pride and pleasure in showing us his beautiful country. we saw the big five and everything else which included lions in abundance - loved it thank you Peter for making this holiday very special
we stayed in a mixture of lodges and tented camps all of which provided excellent service and had views that were breathtaking. Highights for me were epiya Chepeau in Tsavo East , Sanctuary Farm in Lake Naviaisha.
and the Sopa lodge in Lake Nakuru which must have some of the best views in Kenya
I had always dreamed of visited Africa. I still do but this time the memories of a fabulous trip are with me
Thank you Daniel and your family for making us feel very welcome on our first night and for the fond fare well when we left.
i would defiantly recommend this company and look forward to travelling with transtrek in the future

5 Day Safari to Mount Elizabeth NAtional Park and Mountain Gorillas
Following a business trip to Uganda I decoded ad hoc to book a 5 day safari to Queen Elizabeth Park and to see the Mountain Gorillas. It was a rather strenuous trip involving a lot of driving but all the efforts were worth while. Twaha and I had a great time together and made the trip a most memorable experience well beyond my expectations. Twaha is a very professional guide who knows the ropes of his profession extremely well. Although he must have done hundreds of tours like this I had the feeling that he was never bored and he never gave to show me the places and animals he had in mind or that I wanted to see.

Mombasa trip
December is always a busy month of out and about. Last year, after a number of inquiries, i approached African Comfort Zone Safaris. ACZ safaris' staff are welcoming and ready to offer guidance on the best places to have fun at the same time keeping in mind the financial budget of a client. John advised me on my holiday plans. I was glad that with my budget, African comfort Zone Safaris gave me a chance to explore Mombasa, a place i had not visited at all before. I enjoyed a relaxing breeze on Mombasa Beach. ACZ safaris took me to comfy hotels, experienced Guides enlightened me on the history of Mombasa. ACZ safaris' guides are experienced, social and flexible. I would recommend any person wishing to explore Kenya to consult ACZ safaris.

Highest level of service and expertise - so good!
About 8 months out from my intended trip date, I started reaching out to tour operators/travel agents to help plan my South Africa/Zimbabwe 2-week vacation. I had requested quotes/suggested itineraries from several different ones, and none of them seemed to "get it", until Gail from Pembury responded (in record time!).
What I so appreciated about working with Gail was her ability to listen to what we were looking for in a trip and pull it all together, within a more-than-reasonable price tag. I believe Gail booked us rates better than rack rates available to the general public. I also think Pembury being local in SA helps.
Some standouts points of service:
1. Gail's suggestions. For our safari, we stayed at Motswari Lodge in Timbavati. If you aren't sure where/what game reserve to visit, check out Motswari. It is the only one I want to go to for now on.
2. Responsiveness. One hotel booked (for just a single night on the way to the airport) did not live up to our expectations and we had some service issues at the hotel. I emailed and called Gail quite frantic, after work hours, and she responded extremely quickly and had squared the issues away with the hotel. And, in the months leading up to our trip, I received responses back in hours - even when the time difference meant it was very late or early in SA.
3. Price. As I said before, I can't believe how cheap our entire trip was, with domestic airfare, hotels, and airport transfers included.
If you're looking for someone to plan your trip, look no further. I know I'll be emailing Pembury again soon for another visit!

A Must On Any Kenya Safari Itinerary
We stayed at Serena Sweetwaters Tented Camp in Ol Pejeta for two nights during an eight night safari to Kenya. We travelled from The Ark Lodge, Aberdare National Park, to Ol Pejeta and, as with every transfer, had a rough ride on the very poor access roads and tracks close to the conservancies. The camp itself was idyllic, standing by its own watering hole. It offered outstanding service, accommodation and access to wildlife.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy is vast with open plains and many access tracks, and areas of bush offering perfect cover for the bigger predators and the more timid animals. Except for birds, wildlife was plentiful. We saw numerous Black rhino, White rhino, lion, buffalo, elephant, giraffe, ostrich, warthog, zebra and baboons. Surprisingly, although in peak season, we rarely encountered other vehicles on our game drives which added to the magic when encountering the various species.
We had seen TV programmes and researched Ol Pejeta beforehand, so were very keen to include it on our itinerary. It certainly did not disappoint, and was arguably the highlight of our safari, largely due to the excellent accommodation and lack of crowds when on game drives. Highly recommended.

Review about Kenya by RussellK2015
This was our first safari so it is difficult to speak with any genuine authority. That said, from our experiences, Kenya appears to have a decent infrastructure to cater to a wide range of safari travellers. Security was a concern, but we never felt threatened during our stay.

Awesome experience of great nature
This was the first time for me doing a safari and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The hostels we stayed at outside of the parks were far better than I anticipated for the low price we payed and the two nights sleeping in tents in the middle of Serengeti where the best outdoor experience of the trip even though I got a fever one of the evenings.
On our arrival day we had problems with getting to our first accommodation in Karatu (where we where supposed to stay at the orphanage that Agama tours is supporting) because the police did not allow us to drive after dark for some reason. But we did not have to pay any extra money although we had to stay at another place than was the plan and it was not in the power of our driver to get us to Karatu that evening.
Our guide was great and we got to see a lot of animals on our 5 days of safari around Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorogoro. The best was seeing two lion brothers in Serengeti just beside the road with not a single car in sight. Being an nature nerd, my only complain was not learning more about the animals and over all nature, we got to see it but that was pretty much it. If I go on another safari in the future I would like to include a walking safari or canoeing one day to really be in the nature and also be able to see the small things that you miss from the car window. That's why the best thing was camping in the park, I would just want to have more of that.
