Awesome Climb of mount Kilimandjaro and great 7 day safari trip
5/5

Everything was good. Coming from far (New Caledonia), we have been really well welcomed. The hike of Mount Kili was the most thrilling experience so far for us. Great team, great guides and great porters. Then we went for an awesome safari trip.
We were pleased to see that Bahati has a lot of experience and was really good at advising us. One note : I would definitely do this order for the safari : Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and finish with the Ngorongoro. From the less scenic to the most...
Thanks again

African Garden of Eden

Ngorongoro Crater is a thrilling safari destination. Meeting the crater is love at first sight - a steep winding drive up a mountain rewarded by a breathtaking view of the crater in all its glory. This birds eye view of the crater is very dramatic - the expanse of the crater can be appreciated, as well as the many habitats within it, vaguely delineated by the changes in color on the crater floor akin to a patchwork quilt. We arrived at the crater in the late afternoon and settled into our hotel on the rim for the evening. Out of the 6 hotels at which we stayed during our trip, I would say the one here was our least favorite. It was a beautiful lodge with a great view of the crater from our room, but the lodge feeling made it seem more like a traditional hotel, whereas our other accommodations throughout the trip were luxurious tents or separate huts, etc., that had more of an exclusive, remote vibe consistent with our surroundings. Our guide recommended we start our day exploring the crater at 6 AM to maximize our chances of seeing the elusive black rhino. When we entered the crater as the sun was rising, we felt like we were transported to a different planet. Our early start time was rewarded by a rhino sighting right off the bat. It is awe-inspiring to see such an endangered species in its natural habitat. We then spent the majority of the day driving throughout the crater, oohing and ahhing over the endless animal sightings - Thompson's gazelle, Cape buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, hippos, elephants, lions, hyenas, jackals, countless bird species, etc. My favorite moment in the crater was when our guide picked a spot for our picnic breakfast. He set up a table and chairs by a watering hole and we sat amongst a herd of zebras grazing and drinking. It was a surreal moment, as if we had been placed in the middle of television documentary footage. Toward the afternoon the crater became more crowded and we had covered most of the roads, so our guide decided it was time to move on to our next destination, the Serengeti. Driving back up to the rim of the crater, I couldn't help but look over my shoulder at the crater, surprised again at its massive expanse.

The most touching, life changing holiday ever
5/5

My husband & I spent two wonderful weeks traveling with Coop in 2010. We had an original meeting with him and discussed the kind of safari we were interested in and Coop followed that perfectly and developed our ideal itinerary. We went to South Africa and Zimbabwe with a mix of rustic and luxury. Throughout the two weeks Coop was always a wealth of information, a guide, a friend, an excited companion and an enabler. It is because of Coop and all that Africa has to offer that we had the most enjoyable and touching holiday of our lives. We can't wait to do it again, this time with our daughter.

Great safari experience
5/5

Samburu Trails offered us what they promised and in a very good price. We did a 4 days safari in masai mara which was great. We saw all the animals we expected to see and the guides were very good. Highly recommended for a budget safari.

An amazing experience
5/5

When we were on the road our driver told us a lot about the animals and he was very good in finding all the different animals hidden in the bushes. He gave us a lot of tips on how to react/behave when animals were close. He was always driving around with a smile, no matter how early or late it was. Our cook was great, with very basic ingredients he still made varied and good meals.

Everything was organised very well, it was an awesome experience. A real recommendation to every one, young and old!

Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro
5/5

Greetings,

Anyone interested in challenging themselves with a picturesque climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro should strongly consider contacting Natasja and David at Absolute Africa as they were professional, prompt, friendly and courteous in helping me book my trip with them as well as deal with any issues on which I required their input.

Moreover, my team of six, lead by my guide, William, were friendly and always helpful in getting me whatever I needed to make it to the summit, well before sunrise, on July 8th, 2015.

It was a fantastic trip, well organized and with plenty of information and food on the mountain!

My equipment and the gear provided were fine and again, the service was excellent!

I highly recommend the team at Absolute Africa as a reasonably priced operator for trips up the mountain.

Thanks to everyone in the UK and Tanzania!

Trustworthy, Efficient, Value for Money,
4/5

The communication with them was instant, without leaving any doubts in our mind. Their service too was good with excellent knowledge about Masai Mara and Amboseli with our driver Fred. The tour was conducted according to our expectations, accommodation at Kibo Amboseli was outstanding. Mara Sidai accommodation was okay, just basic. Our cook Jacob cooked up perfect meals for us.
