An amazing musical journey!
5/5

I did an 11 Day musical urban and bush safari where I got to explore ancient and modern music of Tanzania. As a student of world music, I was so excited to find this tour. While visiting this special part of Africa, I had the rare chance to meet local reggae and hip-hop muscians in Arusha and Dar while also going deep into the bush and seeing elders playing a unique assortment of hand-made instruments. I explained the scope of my interests and my guides gave a lot of thought to my itinerary and really helped convey the unique and varied musical influences of Tanzania.

I only spent a day there but recall a jackal, baboons on a termite mound, an elephant and hippos. The weaver colony at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge made for good photos.

This was one of the best, most challenging, and breathtaking trips I have ever taken part in
5/5

The Namib Desert ride was the toughest yet most magnificent trip I have ever had the pleasure of taking part in. Namibia is truly stunning; its wildlife, the ever changing landscape. The trip was so well organised and the horses amazing, with stamina to burn. That feeling of galloping across a desert plane, with zebra and Oryx running alongside; not seeing another soul for eight days aside from my fellow riders and the Safari team. Coming back to the UK was hard. I can't wait to find a way to do this again! :o)

Arusha N.P. is a convenient stop if you are staying in Arusha. Monkeys and antelope are common and flamingos frequent the lake.

Fantastic Week
5/5

I did a 5 day tour of Tanzanias famous paeloarcheological sites with game drive and cultural tours within the Northern Safari Circuit. I was shoked by the amount of information I was presented about the evolution of hominins in East Africa to the later migrations accounting for the local tribal entities of Tanzania. I was very pleased with my experience.

Went to Kruger in dry season so game viewing was excellent. Saw all Big Five as well as many antelope, hippos, crocodiles, birds, wild dogs, porcupines, hyena, apes, and variety of other stuff. Only missing was young but not the right season.
Was very dry and brown so lot of good sightings around Sabina river and waterworks.
Camp Skukusa was excellent, guides were knowledgeable, food was good and roads were good. Good time to visit SA with exchange rate.

Adventure in safety
4/5

Travel Hemispheres has a very fast efficient and polite back office (Florence). I needed information about the type of vehicle, about how to tip, and even how to pay using Pesapal - all swiftly answered. As a woman travelling alone my experienced guide (Vincent) made sure I was well looked after at all times, and he was patient and knowledgable in answer to my many questions on the long road to Bwindi from Kampala. Gift of Nature Lodge was comfortable, clean and simple, with delightful young staff. A long way off the beaten track, it was surrounded by mountains and stunning views at the end of a very remote village. Beautiful! The highlight was tracking gorillas and seeing them at play and rest in their natural setting, well protected and secure under the watchful protection of local wardens. Slithering down a steep mountain side was unexpected, but I survived (!). Take strong boots and a walking pole!

Awesome Yoga Adventure
5/5

I did a 7 day yoga retreat with Heather and had an awe-inspiring time practicing yoga in the natural settings of Tanzania. Waking up early on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater to practice yoga was definitely one of the most empowering moments in my life. I recommend this yoga safari to any yoga lover it’s a magical experience.
