The experience we had was much better than anything I expected.
5/5

My daughter was living and working in South Africa. When I suddenly found an opening in my schedule I contacted Ute at Roho Ya Chui and asked if she could put together a Safari for my daughter and me. My only parameter was that it would be memorable. We ended up spending three days as the Phinda Reserve at the Phinda Rock Lodge and three days in Sabi Sands at Kirkman's Lodge. The entire trip was amazing.
In working with Ute I found a true professional who really cared about the quality of our stay. She took care of everything from the time of arrival in South Africa to my transfer back to Johannesburg. She was fully accessible and immediately responded to all my questions. I cannot find words to fully describe this wonderful adventure.

A wonderful trip, superbly organised and fascinatingly varied
5/5

I’ve just done the ten day Wild Dog Namibian Explorer trip. It was a journey to recapture lost times for me.Forty three years ago I lived in Okaukoejo for three months then in an engineering campsite on the side of the road towards Outjo for another three. I wanted to see it all again and I wasn’t disappointed.

For a start the Wild Dog organisation was really faultless. I’d like to take our guides, Gabriel and Manfred, home with me to run my life as brilliantly as they ran the trip. I doubt they’d be interested in relocation, though. They are safari guides through and through, both of them so knowledgeable about birds, animals, plants, geology. Did you know that termite mounds all face North to keep them warm and protected? I didn’t. Gabriel did. Both he and Manfred are unflappable, very hard working, it’s quite a knackering amount of driving Gabriel had to do. They are imaginative cooks, too, and the speed with which they prepared each meal for all eleven of us was a bit shaming for those of us more used to cooking in well equipped kitchens than on camp fires. I’ll stop about the guides before their heads burst.

What about the sites and terrain we covered? Stand out camp site for me was Hoada dwarfed by vast granite boulders. We skinny dipped in the pool and sat on top of one huge rock to watch the sunset while Manfred cooked dinner.

In Etosha we saw lots of animals including a pride of 13 lions, the adolescents tumbling, cuffing each other, watched by grouchy dads. Next day, a group of them were feasting on a newly killed zebra.

But it wasn’t even the animals that made the trip but the journey through ever changing terrain under huge, over-arching skies and magnificent cloud formations. The soil colour changes every few kilometres and even the ubiquitous thorn trees vary throughout the journey, some green flat tops, others with tiny white flowers.

Go and see it for yourselves. It’s a wonderful experience.

Wonderful days in South Africa!
5/5

It's a week now since I came back from South Africa, but most of the day I still think about the wonderful time there. 17 days of adventure, from we arrived in Johannesburg and were met by our guides Thale and Ryan and taken to our B & B to rest some hours before starting the tour through this beautiful country. 3 days in Kruger with exciting game-drives. Then we went on to Hluhluwe National Park(so beautiful! My favorite!) Next stop was Uhmlanga outside Durban. I still hear the roaring waves, sitting in a restaurant near the beach in the dark evening. We went on to Addo Elephant Park. Majestic male lions is a marvellous memory from there. Then Tsitsikamma - even the name sounds like an adventure. Suspension Bridge over roaring waves. An exciting place to stay. Knysna is a very beautiful town at the coast. We stayed there for 2 unforgettable days.On our way to Cape Town we also passed the most southern point of the African continent - Cape Agulhas. And then Cape Town - the last stop before going home. We stayed there for 2 days, using one of them to visit Robben Island to see "the home" for 18 years of their great leader Mandela. And we will never forget Table Mountain and the view around from the top. But nothing lasts for ever - we had to go home. I left Africa with my heart and head filled with love and respect for this country's fantastic animals and nature. During the whole stay I felt so safe in every way and everywhere, due to the long experience of our guides. I am so grateful for all the good service given by Wild Planet Safari. Thank you Thale and Ryan for showing me South Africa, with all that love and knowledge I can feel that you have for your country. I will be back to see more of it. With Wild Planet Safari.

Amazing Trip!
5/5

East African Safari & Touring Company set up a private 7 night safari for us. Simon was easy to work with (over the Internet) and modified our trip to accommodate our specific requests for itinerary changes. From the time we landed in Arusha (about 3:00 am) until we left, all the trip arrangements, connections, details (whether large or small) were done timely and what seemed effortlessly to make the trip exactly what we had envisioned. Ezekial, our guide/driver, was attentive to our wants/needs and did everything he could to make our trip perfect, took care of our every need and our safety. He knew the areas, the names of the animals and their habits (to locate them for us). We saw so many animals, we saw the Great Migration, we experienced life in a Maasai Boma, we stayed in lovely breathtaking view rooms in lodges (one even had a claw foot tub on our private balcony to bathe while taking in the spectacular view and the animals below) and experienced a real "tent" camp in the Serengeti. The trip covered all the must sees and more and gave us plenty of time at each spot. We had also done a group Safari with another company and East African's trip was far better because we were in control of what/where we went/saw without a formal timetable prescribed by the company/group. We were able to stay longer to watch an animal or drive in another direction in search of an animal, and were not "crowded out" in the pop-up 4x4 (there was just the two of us (instead of 7-9)) when viewing and taking pictures - it was wonderful and we would do it again. The trip included a National Park ranger guided walk along the Ngornogoro Rim, night drives, Maasai guided walking "safaris", and a Maasai Boma visit. It was the perfect time to go, weather was wonderful, we saw 4 of the Big 5, saw the migration through the Serengeti, and NO CROWDS! This safari was terrific value for price!

Thank you Tomodachi
5/5

Last year, I decided to go to Tanzania because I had already heard that it is among the best to watch untamed wildlife. My safari, which was on late June, 2013, was well organized. Also, the accommodation was very comfortable. Besides all of that, I had an excellent driver and a new 4x4 vehicle (Toyota land Cruiser). This combination led me to a very successful safari.

Finally, I want to say “Thank you Mr. Joseph for every thing you did to make my trip very convenient.”

We stayed at leeuwenbosch. The owners chatted to us every day, the staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt at home and part of the family! Our ranger was an endless fountain of knowledge and fabulous with the children. We saw the big five and so much more. The weather was perfect. the food was lovely, my husband gained quite a bit on weight !! We stayed in the old colonial house which was lovely and made you feel like you wanted to drink iced tea on the veranda for ever! For us as a family the house was perfect and our private terrace gave us a place to sit whilst the children played in the shade. We had a look around shearers lodge, the finish is beautiful and would really work well for a more romantic stay. On our stay I realised that Africa is very green in places and a truly beautiful place

excellent 5 Star professional Service complete with a smile every day!
5/5

What a brilliant time we had during our safari (Arusha,Mount Meru, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro). We saw so many animals and when we did see animals our driver was respectful and slowly approached the animals, not rallying around like some other company drivers.

Lodges were great. Welcome was always very cheerful, bedrooms were large and comfy and there was always plenty of choice of high quality food. As we were on our honeymoon, there was always a little something extra in our room, normally fruit baskets, cards and flowers or liquer, but we even had a cake in one lodge!

We were so lucky to have seen the big 5 and even luckier to have Harry as our driver. Probably the friendliest, most knowledgeable driver we could have ever imagined.

Rose was amazing. She understood I had young children to entertain and consider,Coped with my healthy but not luxurious budget! I had enough options to make a decision but not too many to confuse me. Somehow rose Sourced brilliant flight and connection times and she even managed to wish me happy birthday and happy holiday!

Fantastic!

I did a safari trip with a few people and it was SO cool! Kanuth and the other guys were friendly, and we had a lot of fun with them! The jeep's were comfortable . We had a lot of questions during the safari, and they knew all the answers. Everything was well organized. We had our own cook with us, and the food was incredible delicious. I would definitely recommend to book a safari with Kanuth!
