rip off
1/5

To be clear: the rating is for the tour operator only. Botswana is a fantastic country for Safaris, just don't go with this gangster. He made me pay for 7 days but the tour turned out only to last for 5 and a half. The time spent on all our game drives combined during this time was less than that of serious companies on a single day.

miscommunication with a single traveler
2/5

So first of all, I have been on 2 other safaris. This wasn't my first.

So to begin, I chose ACZ because of their good reviews. Also, John was very communicative and helpful before I went. He answered all of my questions in a timely manner and seemed professional. I traveled as a single so I was nervous about this but John eased my fears.

I was supposed to stay at the Lenchada camp with the group but there was a mix up. I assumed John would have put me in a single since he knew I was traveling as a single. He did not. I didn't want to share a tent with strangers. It wasn't clear in our communication beforehand that I would be made to share a tent with strangers. In fact, they wanted to put me in a tent with 3 other people! No. I didn't realize this would be like a hostel. So they sent me to another camp where I spent a night in a single. But it wasn't a good situation since I was separated from the group. I think John should have admitted his error (instead he argued with me about it) and arranged for a single at the correct camp. He didn't. The next day our driver told me I'd have to stay in the other camp alone again- and I got very upset. Finally, they let me stay at the correct camp but I had to share at tent. I was so tired of arguing I agreed to it. This all left me very disappointed, though. What bad customer service!

Our driver was below average as well. On my other safaris the drivers engaged with us, told us lots of facts about the animals, and were very friendly. This driver only spoke to us when we asked him direct questions. He seemed bored. We got minimal information out of him about anything. While driving he never gave us an itinerary, didn't say when we'd stop to use the toilets, eat, etc. We would just stop and then he'd tell us what was going on. Some advanced notice would have been good. He also talked on his phone constantly while driving and this felt very unsafe, especially on the roads in Kenya. He was good, however, at bringing us to see the animals. He gets 4 stars for that. But his attitude was definitely below average.

The food at the Lenchada camp was good and the place as a good deal for the price. I would stay there again. The highlight of the trip were the other members of my safari.

Single travelers- make sure you are clear about what you are paying for.

Fabulous , I must say
4/5

Pros - A fantastic experience . The whole interaction with Pamela starting from initial stages till the very end and even now has been wonderful. She was very patient in answering all our queries and understanding our requirement. Our driver Peter was very professional and handled his job exceptionally well. He was outstanding in driving us through the forest and help us spotting the wildlife.

Cons - We weren't happy about the hotel that was booked in lake Nakuru . I guess it was called Chester. The condition of the vehicle can be improved or the existing vehicles should be replaced with better ones consider the terrian in the forest and also enroute.

An unforgettable Safari
5/5

We travelled four days with James to Lake Manyara Nationalpark, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. It was a fantastic trip. We were very lucky that we could seen the big five. James is a really good guide - he noticed the shy animals in their hiding places, where most of the other guides passed.
He was really attentive and he always stopped for every picture. Thanks a lot. Always a pleasure.

Honeymoon
5/5

We had a wonderful honeymoon in Kenya and Tanzania thanks to E-trip Africa. Ben adjusted the program until all our wishes were fulfilled and he kept in mind our budget. The bush-breakfast was a lovely experience. Good job!

Best safari trip ever with the best touroperator ever!
5/5

We’ve spend three whole days with Bella Safari. She picked us up in Kampala en drove us to our next destination; Fort Murchison tented camp. On friday we had a Rhino tracking, on saturday a Game drive, Nile tour and the Murchison falls, and on sunday we did the chimp tracking. Bella was around all the time and took good care of the whole group. We had the greatest time at Murchison National Park and really enjoyed the weekend. Big thanks to Bella who did an amazing job. She is very friendly, always around, take good care, drives like a pro and best of all… she has a good sense of humor!
Going with Bella Safari’s is an lifetime experience that I’ll never forgot!

Definitely again!
4/5

In November of 2016 we did a 8-day safari with Grassroots to Udzungwa Mountains National Park, Selous and Ruaha and we loved it! It's a long trip on the road (+/- 4 days of driving) but definitely worth it as you will enjoy every moment (of the other +/- 4 days). Our guide Fikiri is a top driver and we felt safe every bit of the way. Scout was a great cook and made us 3-course dinners a night. The accomodations were basic, but fine. So all in one: we had a wonderful time and would travel with Grassroots again when we go to East-Africa.

Awesome Once in a Life time Safari Experience
5/5

We did a 14 days Safari, 7 days Kenya and 7 days Tanzania. Mr. Noah Kuti, was personally involved in all the bookings and I must say that he was a true professional in terms of selecting the hotel lodges, refining the tours based on locations, your budget criteria and other details. This tour was our second tour to Kenya and at first I was hesitant since I did not know the company and having contacted them online. But at the end of it was one of our top vacations till date. I can vouch and highly recommend Wildebeest Safari on being honest and professional to the core and provide an excellent Safari at an affordable price without sacrificing on quality.

We started with our stay in Nairobi followed by an evening dinner in Carnivore (highly recommended). Next day we started on our way to Samburu where we stayed for 2 nights. Our Tour guide “Ken Sila” was very friendly, professional and adventurous. On our full day tour we spotted BIG 3 (Lions, Elephant and Buffaloes) and were entertained by a lion couple on a honeymoon up close and personal, Somali ostrich family (14 in no), Grevy Zebra’s, Reticulated Giraffe, Samburu Kudu, Oryx and many more. Samburu is no doubt our second best game reserve after Masai Mara. After Samburu, we proceeded to Lake Naivasha boat tour recommended if you love birds…followed by Lake Nakuru where we spotted the mighty Rhino..Big 4 done…In Masai Mara we spent 3 nights and watched the wildebeest migration once in a lifetime experience, Pride of lions (7 in no) waiting and hunting on a group of zebras, Cheetah family, Buffaloes, Masai Giraffe and the masai village tour.

Border exit from Kenya was done without any hassle and on the Tanzania side we met one more gem of a tour guide “Gabriel” who was very knowledgeable, energetic, multilingual and friendly. He promised to show us the Leopard the remaining to do of our big 5 spotting. The next day on our full day tour, he took us to Central Serengeti where we spotted not one but 4 leopards. My next to do was to spot a mane lion and lion with cubs, he kept his promise and took us to the right place. We followed a Lioness hunt for almost two hours which finally managed to catch a warthog. We stayed in Serengeti for 3 days, 3 days in ngorongoro crater a must see to see the wild life and natural beauty of perfection in a closed crater.

All in all Kenya and Tanzania was a fantastic experience, thanks to Wildebeestsafaris and all credit to Mr. Noah Kutty and our Kenya tour guide “Ken Sila” and Tanzania tour guide “Gabriel” for their relentless passion ,work and drive to make our holiday a memorable one.
