Amazing and instructive three days safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro parks
5/5

Everything went very well with this tour organized by Adam , manager of Afrozone Kingdom Safaris . We met wih pleasure at my hotel at the beginning and the end of the safari . Hilda was a good cook and made for us delicious and tasty meals especially her soup... even the lunch box was satisfying . Freddy was a careful driver and a good guide , he gave us a lot of information about the animals , birds etc.. Both were friendly and helpfull .We saw the big 5(only the back of a black rhino very far away..) In the Ngorongoro crater we saw hundred of wildbeest . We saw several lions , a cheetah lying on a branch and many others animals , birds(amazing ostriches , etc..) The last day an elephant cross the Simba campsite... Thanks to Adam who was friendly and competent to organize this safari . I recommend Afrozone Kingdom Safaris , a serious and reliable company .

Terrible. Choose other options. Don't let this company cheat you
1/5

I purchased a 8 day and 7 nights Safari with this company and it had been the worst experience of my live. I am an experienced traveller who have visited more than 40 countries and 8 different in Africa, and ner happened something like this.
This operator is a cheater who will try to scam you and take the money from your pocket. Remember: They don't get what you pay. They also scam you with the rate exchange what rise the price of the tour, They have ruined our holiday.
The van is overcrowded (9 people), fake itinerary, they don't go where they promise, not experienced staff, they make changes in the itinarary and hotels without considering what you paid. They spent a lot of time in logistics like an ordinary bus changing people to reduce their costs and don't get you what you paid. The accomodattions don't have the minimum standards, no hot water, broken mosquito nets, dirty room, terrible food.
They manage well the social networks to cheat you, but be aware that these people are cheaters and will ruin your safari.
Choose another option in order to avoid they mess you up and ruin your holiday.

Close proximity to wildlife, beautful scenary and safari lodges paired with an accommodating guide.
5/5

The service was fun and friendly. The safari were outstanding as they enabled us to get close to the wildlife without disturbing them - a great eco tourism success. With the exception of one hotel, which the company moved us from, the accommodation was comfortable and homely. The communication could have been improved but overall the guide was very accommodating.

Our amazing safari with Sababu Safaris!
5/5

**I also posted this on Trip Advisor**

WOW. What can I say? This was the trip.of.a.lifetime! My husband and I decided to do our wedding anniversary in Tanzania and went with Sababu Safaris after contacting a number of Tanzania-based tour operators. Working with them from start to finish in planning our 8-day safari was a breeze. Denise was quick to respond and very attentive. She explained everything there is to know about the national parks and places to go and stay - I don't think there was anything she could not arrange for us.
Tanzania itself is beauty encapsulated, however, the attention and care that our guide Modi provided was beyond exceptional. He is a walking encyclopedia and always went the extra mile to make sure we had the most exclusive animal sightings. Seeing the animals up close in their true, natural habitat and experiencing the beauty of Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti was a dream come true!

What made our safari super special was when we stopped at a Maasai village to give a family a solar light. This wasn't something staged, Modi just chose a village that looked like it didn't have any sources of electricity, and after he explained to the elders why we were there we were welcomed into their home. Seeing their faces when we turned the light on in one of their huts gave me goosebumps!

I have never had any other experiences with other safari companies, but I would book with Sababu Safaris over and over if we had the time and money for it, and I have already recommended them to family and friends! What I loved most is how they give back to the local community - something you can tell they care deeply about. Where else would I want to spend my money? You literally see firsthand exactly where your money is going and what difference it makes. So if you are interested in visiting Tanzania- Sababu Safaris is the way to go!

Our anniversary was truly a trip we will never forget. We were so sad to leave! Asante sana, Sababu Safaris!!

Exceeded our expectations
5/5

The entire staff of Spirit of Kenya contributed to making our 10 day safari a great trip. From recommendations on accomodations to solving international wire issues down to providing beanbags for telephoto lenses - the staff responded quickly.
But the most important part of the safari in my opinion is your guide. He is the one that will make or break your trip.
John was just an awesome guide. His knowledge of the animals and his uncanny ability to predict their movements even before they knew themselves was amazing.
John made sure we not only saw just about every animal there was to see, but were close enough to get some fantastic pictures making this amateur photographer feel like a professional.
His sense of humor and infectious laugh made the long bumpy drives fly by.
It is a trip we will never forget.
We would highly recommend Spirit of Kenya.

Fantastic, can’t wait to organise my next tour through them. Everything was perfect
5/5

I had an absolute adventure in Uganda and Kenya! I love the outdoors and doing fun activities -So travelling to Uganda and Kenya was a perfect choice. Every time I arrived at my next accomodation or activity I was so grateful to the Matoke team. They were efficient, professional and really friendly.

Anna, from Matoke tours, did such an excellent job at organising everything, and when I arrived I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. She really did an exceptional job at organising a tour I’ll never forget.

Everything was way beyond my expectations. I stayed at Nile Porch in Jinja and went down the white water on a single tube - I’d definitely recommend it if you love white water rafting, but looking for something a bit different but just as much fun (if not more) than a blow up raft.

Nile porch was a beautiful place and had spacious safari tents with showers that overlooked the Nile, surrounded by monkeys jumping through the trees.

I also stayed at Mihingo Lodge and it was by far the most incredible place in terms of accomodation; it was something out of a dream, up on a huge rock, with an infinity-like pool overlooking the safari park, directly in front of a watering hole.. we saw a leopard one morning while we were eating breakfast. I went specifically to Mihingo lodge for the horse back safari - if you love riding, this safari is great. It was the best horse ride I’ve done on a holiday - I had the time of my life galloping through the safari park, riding next to the zebras and giraffes.

However the gorillas near Mutanda were by far my favourite part of my holiday.
We stayed at the mutanda lake resort and trekked through Mgahinga National Park.
We got so close to them! I actually couldn’t believe how close we were, I could almost touch them, it took my breath away. I saw gorillas nine in total, a big family - and they were really playful. My friend went to a different area in Uganda to see the gorillas, near Biwindi, but apparently they were hidden among the bamboo and they didn’t see any silverbacks. The area where I was booked is apparently the best place because there are more silverbacks in the family and the gorillas are out in the open a little bit more -  I got to just sit right next to one :) this is a bucket list activity and worth every penny. The trek can be hard, and one older lady had to turn back because she couldn’t physically complete the hike. The trek can take between 4-9 hours and it’s thrlugh dense jungle. But it’s worht it and the trek itself was so much fun. Don’t wait to you’re too old to do the things you love!

We managed to squeeze in the Sabinyo mountain hike as well. It was really was an adventure climbing up those little stick ladders! I absolutely loved this hike - it was a real adrenaline rush because the ladders and bridges were made out of little sticks - so not for the faint hearted, but the view from the top was worth it and I can’t wait to come back and do it all over again.

Kenya was also great, we saw heaps of animals (the big 5 and so much more) in the Masai Mara, I even got a kiss from a giraffe.
We did the hot air ballooning over the Masai Mara - and while expensive, again it was a memory I won’t forget.
We also went to meet the Masai tribe and had some fun dancing and jumping with them.

Jimmy our driver also a special place in my heart forever, we got along really well, I loved him. We ended up meeting his family and had lunch with them on the last day :) he was such a genuine and lovely guy.

I can’t thank Anna and the Matoke team enough for all the work they put into organising my trip. I’ll remember it for the rest of my life. I can’t wait to come back again to Uganda - and I look forward to organising my next African adventure with Matoke.

Well organised. Exceptional guide.
5/5

Adequate communication with Noah. Happy to be flexible and adjust itinerary to our wishes. All travellers should have some understanding of safari and what they want and don’t want to assist your companies in organising what can be very diverse style of travel.

Everything we would have asked for with a budget safari, even a little more!!
4/5

We had arranged a private 8 day safari from Nairobi through Kenya, across the border to Tanzania and then ending in arusha for 2 of us. Trip advisor safaris was very open to helping us plan the perfect trip for our budget and included the parks we asked for. We emailed back and forth a bunch trying to settle on the perfect itinerary with enough time to catch our plane from arusha to zanzibar. Although this tour operator was very accommodating, the only reason I took one star off was because I felt like it was a bit pushy to book every day and it was very difficult to sort out payment. I am from Canada and we dont do direct bank transfers and I found giving a deposit very annoying. Also when we arrived in nairobi to give full payment, he expected $3000us cash. Qe were not adware this is how it would be done and no way would i carry that in cash travelling alone from Canada as a female. So we paid by credit card in the end and paid the transaction fee percentage and waited in the office until the transaction arrived at the bank and then we went there so he could get the cash out for our safari guide. I feel like this could have been avoided with more clear communication. As for our safari, our guide in Kenya was Rubin and he was 5/5!!! He was so kind and honest and we trusted him 100%. He was a very reliable driver and was able to show us more animals than we ever expected! He was quiet, but very happy to answer all of our questions at any time. He never tried to make us shop or buy things, which was very nice for us. Our accommodations were even nicer than expected in Kenya some nights considering it was on a tight budget! Our crossing over the border to Tanzania was easy and our tanzanian guide Salim was waiting for us when we arrived. This portion was organized through trip advisor Safaris using the company kili slope. Salim was energetic and full of information and eager to find big cats for us. We saw many lions and also a leopard and a cheetah! Amazing! He was also a safe driver and happy to share information and quiz us on what he taught. Our personal cook in Tanzania was also named Salim and he made 100% vegetarian food for us as requested. He made delicious soups and yummy packed lunches! We were very pleased with our experience and saw everything we could imagine. As most recommendations say, get everything in writing. Our itinerary was not as full as it said because driving times in between were much longer than it seemed. But even so, we would recommend organizing with this company because we had a great time!!

Experienced and friendly guide with a great team. We were always first to the rare sightings.
5/5

I had a great time with extremely wild safari's team. Isa was the best guide we had out of 4 guides from various big name lodges (chobe lodge, ongava rented camp, kulala desert Lodge) he had a wealth of knowledge and knew how to track animals better than the rest.
Our tented camp and meals were beyond expectation, a glamping experience to remember.
