Relatives in S. Africa told us about Botswana, so we decided to check it out. We were not disappointed.
Our trip started with the Mack Air transfer across the delta that afforded us a spectacular birdseye view of the terrain. After being dropped off in the northeastern corner of Osiwanga we were driven to our lodge near the edge of Chobe National Park. To our amazement all sorts of animals - including elephants and a giraffe - came right up to our tent. During the day we went on game drives. A high points were the African wild dogs. We followed closely after a group of 13 on the chase, came across the nest of baby ones, and even witnessed an antelope being taken down by three of them. In the evenings we were treated to beautiful sundowners, which at one we were visited by a lurking serval.
We also also spent a day in the Delta exploring the aquatic life by boat. The landscape was spectacular with numerous exotic birds, plenty hippos and elephants as well as interesting plants. In the evening the staff at the lodge put on a lively show of singing and dancing.
Our last day in the north was spent resting in Maun. Before departing for home we went sightseeing and shopping for artfully crafted basketry of exceptional quality in Gaborone. These exquisite artifacts were made in the style of traditional tribal objects by artisans integrating cultural symbols into their individual designs.
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Botswana, the country and its people. How lucky we are that Botswana has set aside such extensive nature reserves for the benefit of Africa's wild animals, and for us all to experience.

I went with Serengeti African Tours and a got a knowledgeable guide in the form of Francis who made our safari unforgettable. The wildlife in Serengeti was spectacular. Not did we see the big 5, but we saw cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, hyenas, etc in abundance. Our chef Ashraf made fresh local food which was delicious and comforting. It was my first experience tasting African cuisine and suffice to say I wasn't disappointed. After our safari we headed to Zanzibar and the beautiful white sand beaches were just what we needed after an adventurous safari. The clear waters provided excellent snorkelling opportunities. Overall Tanzania is not just a country, it's an experience that everyone should have on their bucketlist.

It is hard to encapsulate all our experiences in a post. From the animals to the cultural immersion activity activities - it was wonderful. Unscripted Safari’s went above and beyond our expectations. The Masai Mara was teaming with wildlife and overall experiences were awesome. The lodging was excellent and the food was tremendous. I would recommend Unlimited Safari’s to anyone and everyone!

Kruger Still Has It!!

When my girlfriend and I first visited Kruger National Park in October 2010 it was our first visit to Southern Africa as well as our first safari. We had 4 nights in the park splitted between Lowers Sabie and Olifants Camp and we loved every minute of it. On our flight back to The Netherlands we were already making plans to return to Southern Africa and since our first trip we visited some of the best reserves in Southern Africa such as Moremi & Chobe in Botswana, the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in South Africa and Etosha in Namibia.

For 2015 we had decided to revisit South Africa and Kruger National Park was one of the reserves we wanted to explore some more and we were very curious if we would still enjoyit as much as we did in 2010 after visiting those other famous parks in the previous years as some of them are much more adventurous and/or wild than Kruger. We had booked 9 nights in 4 different camps (Lower Sabie, Satara, Shimuwini & Berg-en-Dal) and I can honoustly say we again had an amazing experience and still loved every minute of it!! Of course Kruger can be busy, especially when you come across a big pride of lions on the tar road between Lower Sabie & Satara but if you know where to go and count to 10 sometimes it's still one of the best reserves to see the Big 5. We had 4 leopard sightings, multiple lion sightings, we saw hyena's, wild dogs and even a pangolin!! Some sightings were hectic, those on the tar main roads mostly but we had several amazing sightings with no (with the pangolin) or only a few other people around. We also liked the fact that we could chill in the fenced camps for once as it can be very relaxed and enjoy a good meal at one of the restaurants so we didn't have to cook ourselves. That's something you can't do when your at an unfenced camp in Moremi or Chobe in Botswana or the Kgalagadi. That's awesome as well of course but like I said before, we still loved Kruger!!

Our tour operator was Axis travel, and they were amazing and beyond helpful. Cynthia provided so much support for us, even beyond the actual safari trip - including organizing transport to and from the airport, answering all the questions, etc. Our guide Kelvin, was so cool. He was kind, he knowledgeable, and he kept us very safe. Many times we saw some irresponsible driving, but Kelvin always kept his cool and took such a good care of us. Really, he made our trip superb.

One thing about Africa is that everybody asks for tips (at Axis even this was awesome and Kelvin was awesome). But people ask for tips that you don't even know what you are tipping... like we served you breakfast, tip us, we picked p the dishes tip us, we are going to the restaurant bathroom tip us etc. It is very extreme and strange for us coming from Europe. You can tell that Africa is a third world country and that there is such a corruption and poverty as people talk about it. Yet the prices are high and it makes you wonder how people manage to survive.

The country itself is so stunningly beautiful. Wildlife, coastline, everything.

Serengeti is really the quintessential safari destination. Although it can get crowded on occasions, there's a good reason for that. Lions, leopards, elephants, Serengeti has it all!

Uncomplicated, well working safari
4/5

Arriving in Tansania we had the wish to go on Safari for some days and found near by Arusha in Usa River this Safari Organizer who could arrange a Safari for us within two days (of course it was low season;-)
With our guide and driver Elias we spent three special days in the North of Tansania, visiting Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara NP and the Ngorongoro Crater. Elias tried to give us an view on the tribes living here in the north peacefully together. He drove us with safe handling on each kind of road and was a patient driver in the NP's who showed us nice places to see the animals near by and to have a view on the impressing nature.
Also our lodge in Mto wa Mbu- the twiga lodge- was a good place to stay- with its clean rooms, nice food and over all the pool.
Thanks to Elias and to Rose and Albert
