Review about Camdeboo National Park by Coco
Overall rating
3/5

The trecking in Camdeboo was amazing because of the breathtaking landscapes but it's not a safari destination, it's more of a scenery and cliff destination.

About: Tanzania
Incredible trip! Couldn’t have been better.
Overall rating
5/5

Absolutely wonderful safari with Safari Soles Tour group. I had initially started organizing with another 5 star Safari company but they made multiple mistakes and price was ridiculously high for almost the same Safari as booked with Safari Soles. Private safari with my 2 daughters. This is my 3rd trip to Africa, and 2nd time to Tanzania. You’ll not find kinder, nicer more accommodating people in the world. We stayed at the following
Upon arrival in Kilimanjaro - River Tree. Food wonderful. Staff helpful and kind. Accommodations nice and interesting. Food very good. Monkeys and landscaping and restaurant were marvelous.
Proceeded to the following
Lake Manyara
Tarangire
Northern Serengeti
Central Serengeti
Southern Serengeti
Ngorongoro Crater
Accommodations: Oliver’s Camp, Orankira, Highlands all by Asilia group. Incredible. Beautiful. Breathtaking. Food 5 star. Staff 5 star. Accommodations truly wonderful. Sleeping under the stars and hearing animals all night is a dream.
Ideas to make trip more exceptional - hot air balloon, walking safaris, open air jeep when possible, canoe or kayak, early morning and night game drives, flying in between some locations.
We have special dietary needs and we were accommodated and so much better than in the USA. Always fresh and healthy. Unique. Tasty. Even the food packed every day for our game drives was super delicious. Gluten free bread, latkes, sweets made for us.
For departure we stayed at Arusha Coffee Lodge. Colonial architecture. Wonderful food. Take the coffee tour.
Hands down the most wonderful holiday we’ve ever had. Thank you Safari Soles Tours and for our 2 week guide Innocent and our addition guide with the open air Jeep named Mona.

Very nice isolated park
Overall rating
4/5

Our morning in the Mountain Zebra Park was great, there is not as many animals as in the north of the country but I was surprised to see so many.
There is less animals but there is also less tourists, we went in November and we were nearly the only ones in the park which was a much appreciated luxury.
We did the cheetah walk and once our guide found the cheetah we walk until we were 10 meters from it and while looking for it (by car, not foot) we saw all the other animals so it was really great.

About: Tanzania
Amazing vacation
Overall rating
5/5

We first went to Zanzibar and then took a domestic flight to Tanzania and then back to Zanzibar. The nature parks are very beautiful with many animals. Ngongoro is definitely worth it. Saw a lot of animals. Spending a night in the middle of the Serengeti is also an adventure.
Zanzibar is an emerging country, in some places you only have to rely on your own hotel for food. I haven't seen a boulevard.

Kruger offers excellent game viewing from your own (rental) vehicle.

5/5

We were in Kruger for three nights staying in a riverside bungalow in Skukuza Camp. The AC was well able to cure the 40+ degree heat upon our return at the end of each day. The beds were comfortable and the plumbing worked. Cooking facilities (not used by us) and refrigerator were outside. The nearby Cattle Baron restaurant serves good food but the one time we ordered red wine it was absurdly warm...stick to beer.

We were on a private birding trip organized by Rockjumper Birding Tours with our guide Greg de Klerk. Prior to joining Rockjumper, Greg had 13 years experience guiding in the Kruger area so we had a great advantage over first-timers driving themselves around. We saw almost all the mammals that one could expect to see and lots of birds too. I was very impressed at how close we were able to view the mammals; make sure you have a short to medium length lens because very long lenses suitable for birds will very often be too long for mammals.

About: Kenya
Smiling people in a beautiful country
Overall rating
5/5

We, group of 6 had a fantastic 15 day journey through parts of Kenya. Masai Mara, Naivasha, Amboseli, Tsavo vest, Salt Lick, and Diani beach. + 3 days in Nairobi before and after the safari.
Every where we met smiling helpful people from staff to tourist and locals.
Our tour operator was Elida Tours and safaris. I can strongly recommend them, they are dedicated group and will do everything possible to ensure that you have a fantastic Experience.
Only bit boring is if you get stuck in traffic jam. But that can of course happen anywhere in the world.

The only reason for not giving 'Wildlife' a 5-star rating is that the lions are in a seperate 'camp' where they can be seen at additional cost. Other than that accommodation is neat and well established with all your self-catering needs catered for. It has a nice restaurant next to a pool. The roads provide something different every day and are always full of surprises. I'd spend a maximum of 3 or 4 days here.

I had a great time with Benson!
4/5

I took a lower-budget camping trip with Benson. It was great working with him before the safari. He helped me pick the best palaces to go and the right times. On the day we left his guide, Simba, picked me up at the house I was renting and we were off. From that moment on, Benson took care of the rest. Our tents were set up for us, our meals were prepared, and there was always a nice bottle of wine waiting for us at the end of the day. Even though you are in a truck all day, it's tiring, so the wine was a nice touch.

The campsites he picked were very nice, but one of them had the option of upscale tents with beds. I wish I had know this was an option before hand as one night in a bed would have been good. The tenting area was nice too and there were hot showers.

Our guide did his best to take us to the animals we wanted to see. Most of us in the truck really wanted to see baby elephants and on our second to last day we found them! Being able to see the animals you want is part skill and part luck, but Simba was able to pull it off!
