Pleasant trip but need to be more organized
4/5

The whole trip was pleasant. The first day we stayed in a mention which has quite distance from the city centre, it's hard to get around without a car.
The next day when we got started, we've been informed to merge with another group which was totally fine but not really an upgraded as been told.
During the game drive, we've been driven to some certain spots where they normally saw big cats moving around. We tried to ask if we could drive to other spots but they were not really willing to do it. Our lodge was actually 30mins driving from Etosha park.
We've got a change for guides. The first one was much more passion. The second one was kind and nice but not very informative when we got the chance to see some wild animals.
If the service can be a bit more organized , I'll be more satisfied.

Yes Faith is very sweet and approachable and moreover always ask for driver “SAFARI” ...yes his name is safari. He is very knowledgeable and informative about the parks and amazingly active ...in whole trip without getting tired of game drives.

Masai Mara+Nakuru+Naivasha+elementatia+amboseli 6 days tour is awesome and budget friendly for family.

Well organised, great experience, beautiful accommodations
5/5

My girlfriend and I did a five day tour to the Crater Lakes, Bigodi Swamp and Queen Elisabeth National Park with Mamaland Safaris. We first wanted to do a three day safari, but changed our minds. Edrisa was easy to contact by mail, and was very helpful in expanding our itinerary! Moses was our guide on the tour, whom we, coincidently, already knew from a previous tour to Murchison Falls. He was everything we could’ve wished for as a guide; patient, knowledgeable and experienced, with lots of enthusiasm for Uganda and its wildlife. We were picked up from Kampala, right on time, and we left for the Isunga Lodge, near Kibale NP. This lodge was absolutely fabulous, with a breath-taking view over the Kibale forest. We saw many beautiful birds and monkeys on our guided walks in the surrounding environment and had a great stay. We then went to the Pumba Safari Cottages, right at the edge of QE NP, and went on two game drives, where we saw elephants at a few meters distance, lions, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles, different antelopes and many birds! On the last day, we went to the Kalinzu forest and saw, after a long trek through the beautiful forest, two chimps in the wild! In short, we had a fabulous trip, saw more than we could have wished for and everything was very well organised. Thanks again to Moses and Mamaland Safaris for a wonderful experience that we will cherish for a long!

We arrived with smiles and left with a much bigger smiles with loads of memories
5/5

Right from the moment we landed and met Joy, to the moment we reached back to the airport was pleasant and comfortable. The whole team lead by Newton & Mathew, just makes your experience unforgettable. Our driver Jackson was the star of the show. He was patient and had the same excitement level for the 5 days as us. It almost felt like it was a family road trip with him part of the family. This is rare as he probably does this every day of his life. Even with changes in itinerary due to uncontrollable scenarios, he squeezed out the best safari experience we could have imagines. Every accommodation in our itinerary exceeded our expectations wrt the ambiance, service, comfort and the food. I would Highly recommend Bateleur Eagle Safaris team to anyone who wants to have an unforgettable, pleasant and comfortable safari experience. In fact, we are returning to Serengeti next year and already planned it as a team of staff to have our vacation there

Everything I expect from a Safari Tour
5/5

We did a five day tour through Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and to Lake Buyonyi with Home to Africa Tours and Travel. The whole trip was everything and more we had expected! The guide was fun and had a thorough knowledge about Uganda, the national parks, history, and wildlife. He had more than 10 years experience as a guide and that was good for us. The lodges we stayed in where amazing! Great food, amazing locations and very comfortable. The tour included several game drives (elephants, buffalows, pumbas, hippos, and even lions!), a boat tour, hike to the gorillas (our main reason for doing the whole tour) and a relaxing evening on late Buyonyi. It was our first time in Uganda and the first time on safari and we got everything we could have hoped for. That the car broke down in at one point was just a minor set back and part of the whole experience. Our guide reacted quickly and we got an alternative car.

The prize we paid and the service we received were in a great balance. We can't imagine how paying more could give more! Our guide gave us so many recommendations for other tours he usually does that we are convinced that we will come again.

Misleading and bait and switch
1/5

A group of people went to Kenya and Tanzania from June 24th through July 10th, 2019. The majority of time was spent in Kenya. We had used TripAdvisor African Safaris agent Seth Vincent to arrange for the Kenya portion of the trip. During the booking period, we received several itineraries outlining the accommodation and numbers of rooms we requested to accommodate our party. Although we had received confirming emails outlining where we would be staying and the number of rooms booked, on at least two occasions the number of rooms were shorted, forcing people to double up although people had paid additional money for separate rooms. We can only assume that Seth pocketed the difference himself. We had been promised a lovely place in Arusha, Tanzania at the Mount Meru Hotel. However, Seth had emailed our subcontracted drivers and had them book us into a very poor hotel in a rough area of Arusha. We called the hotel on our approved itinerary and they had no record of any reservation for us. Again, I suspect that Seth deliberately did a bait and switch that probably allowed him to pocket the difference while putting the 14 of us in a very poor hotel. This was the last night he was responsible for so we really had no recourse. We cannot prove that this was deliberate on his part but he would not return any calls at that point.
The bottom line is DO NOT use this person for your safari experience. Do go with a firm that has lengthy track record and positive reviews.

Top quality safari
5/5

We booked a 4-day safari in Masai Mara and Lake Naivasha. The driver Peter was very professional and hospitable. The first night was spent Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge and the remaining two nights at Basecamp Masai Mara. Truly excellent hotels in every aspect. Basecamp was very integrated in the nature and involved in the local community. We had the luck to see 4 out of 5 of the “big five”, excluding rhinos. The booking process was very smooth and hassle free. Daniel was a pleasure to deal with and even booked our flights to and from Watamu after the safari. I can highly recommend this tour operator and also Kenya as a destination - me and my girlfriend had the travel of our lives.
