Ruaha, Rufiji and Mafia Island Tanzania with Indigo Safaris
5/5

Having looked into a family safari holiday using large travel agencies we were troubled by the cost, lack of specific knowledge and inflexibility. We turned to Indigo Safaris, I had met Chris Bartlett on a diving holiday in Raja Ampat and was impressed by his first hand knowledge of the diving and safari world. Chris simply tries out the resorts himself and knows what he is talking about from personal experience.

He very quickly came back to us with suggestions for a tailor made 3 centre holiday at a very reasonable price. He supplied excellent and accurate information and pictures of each resort, what we would expect to find and see, and the logistics of travel.

The holiday was a great success in no small part due to Chris' organisational skills. The staff at the resorts and even the owners of the Safari Camps knew Chris personally which is a testament to his larger than life no nonsense personality and the fact that he has actually visited the places he recommends.

We would definitely use Chris again for another safari (or even a diving) holiday/s.

Ugandan Birding/Wildlife Experience with Avian Safaris
5/5

One of the best birding/wildlife experiences I've ever had.
Crammy Wanyama of Avian Safaris (as bird guide, driver, general guide, info central etc etc) gets full marks from me - he is patient, helpful, efficient, caring, knowledgeable, accommodating, punctual. Everything went without a hitch

Totally Awesome
5/5

We were privileged enough recently to go on a safari to Kenya and e safari was our choicest of the milliard tour operators. Our decision to use e safaris was as a result of their unmatched responsiveness and attention to detail.
The experience to say the least was Life changing restoring my faith in nature and human kind.
Thank you to incredible Charles, our guide, James for his generosity and wisdom. The choice of camps was excellent – with fabulous food, drink, tents and comfortable sleeping facilities.
The amazing guides not only have mind-boggling knowledge about just about everything from fauna, flora and photography, but about psychology and social interaction. Smoothing the way to a visually stunning, eye opening, educational expedition.
The beautiful ‘Camp Staff’ forged ahead of our little band and prepared our beds, put hot water for showers and delicious food with discreet finesse. We were graced by a finale where all the staff harmonized and danced so beautifully that most of us were bought to tears.
Many friends and family are keen to follow in our footsteps in the near future and will definitely recommend them to you!

Fantastic safari with e safaris
5/5

My husband and me just returned from the adventure of our lives in Africa a month ago. The true highlight for us was e safaris’ safari. The guides and staff were so friendly and willing and nothing was too much for them. The guides were so knowledgeable and could answer any question we asked. The food was excellent in all the three tented camps we stayed, with Lakira and Kicha Tembo being our favourites. Sleeping out in tents in the bush was so exciting and all our comforts were looked after. We saw so many animals and birds including a lion kill and a leopard. The sunsets were brilliant especially late afternoon one day when we were taken up to a stand of baobab trees to watch the sun set. Another day as we climbed up some rocks to see the vast plains and saw a lion chasing a giraffe, this was awesome and at the same time nerve-racking, as they were so close! Luckily we were in the company of two armed rangers.
Thank you e safaris, I would recommend your safaris to anyone!

Just sit back and let Indigo Safaris take care of--and surprise--you.
5/5

I take only one vacation per year, so when I go, I go big and I go far. That makes it imperative that I find a travel advisor who WON'T "screw up," technically speaking, my sole annual chance for adventure.

Fortunately, that's just what I found in Indigo Safaris, which helped me build my last two vacations from start to finish.

That's no mean feat considering that those holidays took me to Papua New Guinea in 2012 and Namibia and South Africa in 2013. The former destination is something of a challenge to navigate even for seasoned travelers, but Christopher Bartlett--the nerve center of Indigo Safaris--knows it inside out. He can rattle off flight schedules as if they were multiplication tables, set you up for scuba certification, send you on cultural adventures, find you a mountain to climb and even direct you to the dive resort with the best margarita--all while nabbing you a great deal in the bargain.

So pleased was I with my PNG vacation--not to mention Christopher's attentiveness and skill in orchestrating it--that I put my adventure in his hands the following year, letting him arrange and guide my two weeks in Namibia and a subsequent two weeks of game driving, backpacking and hiking in South Africa.

The Namibia portion was particularly striking, fully living up to its billing as Christopher's "Hidden Secrets Tour." I can't even begin to tell you all we saw and did during our 14-odd days in country other than to assure you that we covered more than 3,500 km in one of the most rugged, friendly and breathtaking places on earth. Christopher gave us peeks into aspects of Namibian life, history and geography that I don't think are possible to get any other way short of moving there.

And did I say he can cook? Chocolate-covered bananas? Over a fire pit? That was indeed a treat, but not the only one.

Which is why I'm already setting my sites on Uganda and the gorillas in a few years. Or maybe Zimbabwe. Or the Galapagos...In any case, I'll be pounding down Christopher and Indigo Safari's inbox for help. Don't say I didn't warn him.

Professional and excellent in Planning
5/5

Wife, my teenage kids and I have just returned from a trip to East Africa and I just wanted to thank e safaris for their excellent services. We used their airport transfer service, a tour around Nairobi, the Karan Blixen, Giraffe Center, the David Sheldrick Wildlife trust and a day trip to Lake Naivasha and Hells Gate that included a boat trip to the crescent island and all were very well organised and enhanced our visit. We also had a safari to Kenya and Tanzania that was also very well planned. Our tour guide (Charles) was friendly and very good at explaining about the places we visited and we were pleased at the polite service of your drivers and other staff. We will recommend your services to anyone we know who is visiting Kenya. Thank you!

The Kenya Adventya!
5/5

Everything about our experience with Aslan Adventure Tours was tremendous. Communication was good and we were able to deal with financial transactions issues comfortably. Shadrack was our driver and we couldn't possibly have asked for someone better. Shadrack knew the terrain like the back of his hand, and we spotted many animals that he himself had rarely seen. He was completely courteous and extremely helpful. The whole adventure was made incredible because of him.

Great outfit. Very pleased.
5/5

The Kilimanjaro climb was excellent. The guides and service were far beyond my expectations. Who would have thought we'd need so much support? I certainly didn't.

On Safari the guide was also first class. No complaints. Everything was safe and taken care of. No details overlooked.

Would recommend this group to everyone.

Afrobush gave me the experience of a lifetime.
5/5

Gumbo and Living were professional, prompt, and went the extra mile to give my family and me a personalized and comfortable experience. But what truly made our safari exceptional was the knowledge base of the staff. Every question asked (and there were a lot!) was answered beyond my expectations. Not only does Gumbo have a seemingly endless knowledge (and awe) of the habitat, ecology, geology, and history of the region, he expresses it with a deep passion and respect for its preservation. Yes, you will see lions, elephants, giraffes, and more at very close range (we watched a lion and his lioness mate!), but you will also come away with a wealth of information that will change the way you look at our world. Treat yourself to a beautiful, enriching, and amazing experience.
