Organised and Ready
4/5

Brian was great to deal with. He organised everything for me and even came along to one of the activities!

The operator went out of their way to ensure we were happy clients.
4/5

I'm grateful to have had the experience of visiting Rwanda and Uganda. My husband and I live in NZ while our friends we travelled with were from New York. Our view is that a safari should last for about 3 hours. Then we should either return to a lodge and food, or, have a picnic that includes good food. Our friends from New York didn't care about food. They wanted the safari to last all day and go into the night. Some days the safaris lasted 7 hours. No food! No pee stops! I wasn't happy about this. Itn would have been tough to keep two entirely different couples happy. The guides were excellent. My husband and I were diagnosed with Covid and missed seeing the Chimpanzees in Rwanda. We tested again 24 hours later and were negative. Covid is another challenge. We were anxious about our fitness levels but a porter kindly hauled me along (for $20 US). Our hikes to see the gorillas and chimps in Uganda (after Rwanda) were short and manageable. The guides in both Rwanda and Uganda were very, very good people and would have done anything to ensure we had a memorable experience. I would have preferred a newer Toyota Land Cruiser and also morning and afternoon teas. Leaving a lodge at 6:30am, or earlier, and not returning until 1pm from a safari just doesn't fit with my blood sugar levels. I like to eat every 3 hours. There's more to life than searching for elusive lions and leopards. The lunches provided by the lodges were depressingly unpleasant. The evening meals were usually quite nice. Don't expect good quality wines. Sometimes I was offered 'box red dry or sweet, or box white dry or sweet. The lodge staff were magnificent. All the people we met were just delightful and no doubt marvelled at our petty little issues.

Nice for a Day expérience
4/5

It was a nice Day trip, but don't expect something wonderful for lunch. It IS fastfood. Guides are nice but thé stop at thé shop IS deceiving because it looks liké a superstore full of chinese stuff. Not much of it IS local. Too Bad...

Organized and fun!
4/5

From pick up to drop off and ALL the fun safaris, our package was most excellent! Friendly knowledgeable guides, wonderful food and great set up.
Areas of improvement. WATER needs to be free and readily available. Incorporate it into the price but make it available. Currently sold at the bar by the bottle.
Screens should be added to windows as 'load sharing' ie. electricity shut offs happen both during the day and knight and if you open your windows and doors you get all the local bugs and monkeys. FYI/ rolling blackouts happen ALL ACROSS South Africa and are NOT unique or controlled by The Kruger SaFari Co. This is a statewide issue.

Overall, I highly recommend this tour. It's a fantastic experience for all!

Amazing trip with an amazing operator.
4/5

I was apprehensive at first as I never usually use tour booking agents. It started as a quote on a website, moved to emails and then was finalised via WhatsApp. I had not a lot in terms of what you would call "official" confirmation of booking. And everything was communicated via WhatsApp.

This being said. It was amazing. Everything that was planned went ahead and we had the most amazing experience. We stayed at Voi safari lodge and Ngutuni safari lodge in Tsavo east. The second night of our planned lodge was changed due to unforseen circumstances but we was accomodated with what can only be described as an upgrade. It was truly magical. We was lucky enough to see many families of elephants, we saw girrafe and buffalo, we was also lucky enough se a pride lions eating a buffalo. Definitely something we will never forget.

One thing to be noted and the only reason they did not receive 5 star is the payment was requested in USD cash. This in it self is not an issue, though upon payment some of the bills had minor wear and tear, such as nicks and cuts on the edges. It was brought to our attention that any bills under a certain year and any that were too heavily used would not be accepted by Kenyan banks. If I didn't have a few spare bills to use as tips this could have had major detrimental effects on the trip.
This needs to be communicated prior to arrival as I could have asked the bank for fresh bills. The agent in Kenya told me this happens often, so why not notify me to stop the issue happening.

Great team
4/5

I had a great hike with the team.
They kept me motivated and they always made me feel I was with one of my own.

The last day was incredibly challenging however with their support motivation and dedicated focus it was quite easy.

I am eternally grateful to have met these guys.

So I would recommend
Pay the extra
Get a personal loo
Get a personal shower

This just makes the hike over 8 days just that little bit more tolerable.

Also if you have a preference of a type of food, let them know.

Soup and salad gets a little tiring when your taste buds are being non responsive

very good value for money
4/5

we did a 3-day safari, ngonrogoro, tarangire park and hike to see the waterfall and make coffee with the locals.
for the safari, the guide was very good at tracking animals, we saw everything, it was wonderful.
be careful, the hike for the waterfall lasts 2 hours there and back and a lot of elevation. some visits are in English, the driver is not always there.
but you can trust philipo he is great!! I recommend this safari.

Everything taken care of
4/5

Great experience with Aron as our driver. Everything was taken care of in terms of meals, lodging, transportation. Just had to show up and have a good time. Communication with the owner, Hillary, to adjust the schedule and coordinate was very fast and responsive

Aron was a hero for getting the car out of some pretty gnarly mud gullies! He did a great job of getting us to all the animals we wanted to see. Fun guy with a good sense of humor too.

Two things to improve:
- I would have loved if Aron was more talkative when it came to educating us about the animals and the region. Often I had to initiate questions to him.
- The group (including the guides) got a bout of food poisoning at the second lodge (Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp) due to some bad fish. Maybe no more seafood or other risky meats for the lodging meals…
