Stunning views, awesome food, great people.
Travelling in May the weather was fair and temperatures comfortable between 22-28 degrees. Umkumbe Safari lodge was absolutely stunning and the game drives very good. Booking and confirmation with Rochelle Buys was very straightforward and left us at ease and answered any questions we had prior to travel. As for the safari, we managed to see Lion, Leopard, Pangolin, Elephant and Rhino all on the same drive! Food at the lodge was exceptional and the staff very friendly. A big shout out to Jurie our driver on our game drives, what a friendly, knowledgeable guide. It's something I definitely want to do again and would recommend everyone to try Umkumbe!

Personal experience with fulfilling wishes beyond expectation
We spent 2 months travelling through Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. Although it was during the most busy season - Christmas and New Year, TSS organized us a lot of lodges we could enjoy all by ourselves. If it was a tent in a national park or a stone cottage with the most amazing view, we always felt like we were someone special. The organisation was terrific, from the time we stepped into the plane in Oslo, there was not a single minute someone didn't take care of us. Even when we had half a day waiting in Harare Airport for the return flight, they arranged us a personal driver who took us into the city for some lunch and last minute shopping. We really appreciated that since we wouldn't leave our expensive video- and camera gear out of sight.
We did a lot of travelling before this Africa trip, but we never felt so safe and taken care of.
We got pleasantly surprised so many times, also since we do a lot of photography, we could take close-ups of the most amazing bird-life, a cheetah walking next to our car for more than an hour, and a baby rhino in a national park. We will most definitely book an Africa trip with TSS again. I personally don't think someone can organize it any better. Thanks again to the girls of TSS.

Life Altering!
The Ngorongoro Crater is a unique park. First our guides from World Wide Sararis, was extraordinary. Each was extremely well educated and knowledgeable about the animals, flora, and culture of the area. The weather is not what you'd expect, it's rather chilly in the July morning. Everywhere you look there are animals grazing. It's such a tremendous area that it's hard to believe it's contained within the walls of the caldera. We saw MANY cape buffalo, elephants, baboons, wildebeests, birds, lions, hyena, gazelles, hippos, zebra, warthogs, and so many other animals. The drive down and back up is breathtaking. I have been there twice, 2008 & 2015. First time we stayed in a lodge within the park and it was very nice - Sopa Serana. The second time we stayed outside of the park on a coffee plantation and it was fabulous.

Great Safari Kruger Park Safari with Red Africa!
We enjoyed our 7day/6nights Safari with Red Africa. The price was very reasonable and staff Amelia when booking and our guide Jocko was very accommodating. Our flight was delayed into Johannesburg and he was able to pick us up at the airport and rearrange the schedule so we didn't miss anything. We are a challenging group of 10 seniors, a couple with mobility issues and it was great for everyone. The food was good, we stayed in 5 places over 6 nights and the huts in the park were a little rough but if you want to do bush drives you need to stay in the bush. A couple of the places before we got in the park were really great, overall I think there's real value for the money.

Very interesting and a wonderful experience.
We had a wonderful 5 days in Kenya. Unfortunately, April is the rainy season (which we were aware of) so not so many animals and birds to be seen. Over all we found Kenyan people very hospitable, friendly and extremely helpful. We enjoyed the wide open spaces in the Maasai Mara and all in all it was a great experience.

Me and my wife on an Africa trip January 2015
The trip can be split into three parts:
1. Uganda and North Tanzania with guides
2. Safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro
3. One week on Zanzibar
Part 1 was guided by Anders Åslund and Tony and Godwin from mamalandsafaris in Kampala.
This part of the trip had the main purpose to show countryside Uganda and Tanzania plus give a good view from everyday life in Africa.
The group (9 persons plus 3 guides) traveled with two small buses. Tony and Godwin were also drivers besides the guiding. Travelling in Africa is sometimes on roads witch acquire good knowledge about the country and of cause 4 wheel drive. We where always able to go further after some adjustments. Problem with car tires often occur but that was also very efficient take care of by Tony and Godwin.
When passing some interesting photo spots, it was always easy to get some minutes stop. Although we sometimes were in a hurry, we never missed an animal sitting on roadside or an eagle in a tree.
An extra plus for the guiding was the fact that Tony is a very good bird observer. He is helping me with naming my bird photos (about 160 with some duplicates).
We stayed at selected small hotels and holiday cottages, sometimes one night and sometimes two nights.

- Is amazing trip to feel the wild life.
- the roads are in bad condition which makes the travel very uncomfortable
