Experience of a lifetime!
5/5

To say the least, this was the experience of a lifetime. Tanzania Expeditions made this trip the best it could be and surpassed all expectations I had for it. Everyone from the porters to the guides were amazing at all times. Food - Amazing. Hospitality - Amazing. Porters/Guides - Amazing. Whole Trip - Amazing. You can tell that the people working for this company truly love what they do and love making sure their clients enjoy it as much as they do. This is the first and only company I would recommend to anyone traveling to Tanzania!

About: Uganda
Unique experiance Uganda
Overall rating
5/5

After having been on Safari in Kenia and in South Afrika, we choose Uganda as a destination to experiance what we saw as the ultimate highlite in Safaris…… the chimpansee and Gorilla trekking in Uganda. We visited a week end of April, still rainy season.
We booked through a local company we had chosen through safaribooking.com ( safarisbyjon) and flew to Entenbbe with exitment . I must say that the week was even better than we had dreamed of……… it was just perfect!!!! We stayed at Murdgison Falls National Park and did the trekking to see Rhinos( amazing) we visted the Waterfall ….. spectaculous, and we met sooo many friendly people! All the locals, guides, rangers, staff atcthe lodges were super friendly , helpful, had good knowledge of their job and always a big smile ! We of course did the chimpanzee and gorilla trekking, and the fact that you walk through the jungle ( great nature) and suddenly see them face to face is a one liftime experiance! I can only highly recommend Uganda and the experiance of trekking by foot to anybody! It is such a special experiance! Nature in Uganda is great, as we went end of the rainy season ( it just rained one day and not heavy rain) tourism was low and so the trekkings were and safari we did were not at all overpacked with tourists……… and everywhere peolpe todl us how greatfull they were that we had chosen Uganda for our holidays…..that was so sweet……… we will definitly come back some day!!!! Thank you Uganda for an unforgettable holiday !!!!!!

First time not in a private concession

Abundant wildlife sometimes not as close as you would like. Due to the rules of staying on the road, it was luck of the draw if the animals came close. We did see lots of black rhino, wildebeast, zebray, giraffe, elephants and hippos, few lions in the distance and solitary hyenas. Lots of birds byr could not get close to the flocks of flamingos . It became crowded with tourists as the day progressed with the best sightings early in the morning. We were lucky in that we stayed on the crater rim close to the entrance to the crater floor. the lodge was great.

UNI Tanzania Experience
5/5

Coming to Tanzania has been an eye opening experience that I will never forget! I learned about the culture before going, but I learned so much more as I was there thanks to our guides Idi and Noel. From seeing and teaching in a school to walking around town to driving in the Serengeti, there was plenty to experience and 9 days was not enough time in Tanzania. I will be coming back someday soon and definitely reccommend Viewpoint Adventures!

Namib-Naukluft National Park is a place of stunning scenery and the amazing ambience of Africa
Overall rating
5/5

The drive through Namib Naukluft National Park has the feel of an off-road adventure because of the gravelly roads and the isolated atmosphere. While a 4x4 vehicle is not necessary, and my husband and I did the drive by ourselves in a compact car, a truck or SUV might be more desirable for many drivers. We set off around 9 am from Walvis Bay on the C14, which dips in and out of the park. Though we made only a few stops along the way at a variety of rock formations and impressive dunes for photos, it took us about 4 hours to get there. It was cool in the morning but quickly got very warm outside. While we did pass a few desert resorts, there isn't very much on the way through the park to Sossusvlei other than gorgeous scenery, so it's advisable to bring along plenty of water and some snacks for the road. We did get to see quite a lot of Gemsbok as we made our way deeper into the park. Passing signs for rest stops, one sees just a picnic table off to the side of the road, sometimes under the rare shade tree.
Closer to Sosussvlei, there is an entrance gate with some very helpful rangers who can answer any questions one might have, and probably get a guide for anyone who would like one. Here you show a passport and pay a small entrance fee, and at this station you can park the car and take a break from the road. There's a small convenience store with drinks, food, postcards and some other souvenirs as well as a restaurant that also offers free, clean restrooms. Back on the road, which at this point is paved again, the drive is filled with spectacular scenery of towering orange dunes against a backdrop of cloudless azure skies. Here we saw more Gemsbok and Ostrich. Driving until the road ends at a car park, there are a few choices. You can take a ranger-driven vehicle to Sosussvlei, which takes about 20 minutes, you can walk there, or you can just walk the area surrounding the car park, including Hidden Vlei. Since our timetable was thrown by the unexpectedly long time it took to get there, we decided to hike to Hidden Vlei so we could start the return drive and hopefully get back to Walvis Bay before dark. There were so many incredible natural wonders to gaze at and photograph. It was hot, though not unbearably so (in September) and we got to spend a lot of time enjoying the beautiful views of the Namib Sand Sea. The stark trees, many petrified from the dry atmosphere, together with the towering orange dunes and deep blue sky, made for an awesome experience.
Before long, it was time to get back on the road. On the way back to Walvis Bay, we decided to stop at an extremely small town called Solitaire to get some gas. This is a really cool little place; there are old cars rusting and staged out in the desert near their gas station/convenience store and once again, lots of chances to get some very memorable photos. The people here were really friendly and lovely to chat with. The road was still fine to drive on as the sun began to set, but with no road lights and isolation, we were glad to be getting closer to Walvis Bay. We'd seen a few other cars on the way down, and almost no one else once we'd left Solitaire, just Gemsbok. As the sun began to set, we saw a sight that will stay with me forever: a dazzle of zebras. The group stood watching us as we stopped the car. It was phenomenal. The sky turned marvelous shades of orange and pink as the sun went down, and within a few more minutes we were back at our quaint little homestay: Omega B&B. The owners were relived to see us as they'd been waiting to make sure we got back from the drive ok. I think all we would've had to worry about was a flat tire, but luckily no such misfortune had befallen us. Namibia gave us an extraordinary experience, and we found ourselves immediately discussing when we might be able to return!

Nice View, Various Tourist Attraction and Mostly Nice People
Overall rating
5/5

I was told before visiting South Africa that it is a dangerous country. But after visiting for 10 days, I would say it's not true. As long as you always alert, not taking only photos, you will find South Africa is a nice country that you should visit. Not only a beautiful country with a various activities (eg, sunset cruise, safari, etc), the cost of living is comparatively cheap. The most important thing I experienced from this trip is, South African people are so friendly, kindly and helpful.

Fun, Knowledgeable, & Professional
5/5

This was my first time going to Tanzania, and Viewpoint Adventures made my trip memorable! The guides speak very good English, so there was so problem with communication. The service was excellent. The guides are very very knowledgeable about every Tanzanian- the history, culture, animals, fun facts- they know it all and are happy to talk about it. They are also super fun guys to be around, I was constantly laughing! I spent a week and a half in Tanzania and we were always with our guides, and by the end of the trip it was very hard to say goodbye to them! The safari tour exceeded all expectations. Our guide made sure we saw all of "the big five" before we left. I highly recommend Viewpoint Adventures for your safari trip! I fully intend to travel back to Tanzania someday and I will be sure to go through Viewpoint Adventures again!

Ivory Wilderness was Wonderful
Overall rating
5/5

We spent 4 days at Ivory Wilderness camp on the Klaserie River - just south of Kruger I have been on safari many times and this was as good as it gets. Animals everywhere. Lions, leopards, elephants, Rhinos, buffalo, hippo, wild dogs, hyena and a wonderous array of antelope. We even did a bush walk and encountered elephants. Frightening and exhilarating at the same time. The lodge was great with great food and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
