Friendly, hospitable, well connected, answers fast and organizes good safari guides and equipment
4/5

We travelled as a group of 6 together in one car. The drive from the airport and the stay in the hostel one day before and after the 3-day-safari were included in the price. It was all well organized and the tour operator, with whom we were in contact before via whatsapp, gave us all relevant information. The safari guide was well informed and very friendly. We could ask any questions about the wildlife and nature and he would always try to give us answers. We could always say if we wanted to stay longer watching certain animals, or see anything of personal preference and all wishes were taken into consideration. The cook was excellent and the food was delicious. There were 1,5l of water per person per day, even though we were told to recieve 3l. Nevertheless, it was doable since you could drink tea, coffee or hot water at each prepared meal. One night we slept in a lodge, the other night in a tent (2 people) and there were sanitary facilities (only cold water). Payment should be done in the morning before starting the safari. It is good to have the right amount of money prepared, ideally in cash, otherwise the fees are higher. Overall, it is worthwhile waking up early in the morning in order to see the animals and nature of the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area! The safari is recommendable!

It is a very customer oriented team

We went on a safari to Saadani by boat to Zanzibar. We knew that this reserve does not have huge numers of animals...so do did not have high expectations. It was a convenient option of same day safari. Kids enjoyed it and that is the most important. Great value for money!

"Surpassed our expectations a wonderful experience"
4/5

Having spent our first week in Cape Town, we flew to Zimbabwe for the second week of our South African adventure. Waiting at the airport for our party of six with a minibus to take us to our hotel was Fortune Ndlovu from Forche Tours and Travel. On route to our hotel Fortune gave us a bit of Zimbabwean history, their cultural customs, and traditions.

He had arranged a bespoke compact itinerary for us. Although the programme changed slightly, this was well co-ordinated by Fortune, who organised different vehicles and drivers to take us to and from our destinations. Everything went like clockwork.

On our first night Fortune arranged a fantastic African cultural evening at The Boma Dinner and Drum Show. This was an interactive evening; the food was tasty, and we had fun getting on down playing the drums – it was a vibe!

We experienced the wonder of Victoria Falls, it was awesome. The spray from the force of the water came at us from all angles - we got absolutely drenched. We definitely needed raincoats! We also flew by helicopter above the Falls – this activity was recommended by Fortune, the view was breath-taking.

Other highlights of our trip were the stunning views from The Lookout Café at Victoria Falls; a sunset cruise with dinner along the Zambezi River; vintage train journey with drinks and canapes on the Zambia side of ; safari cruise along The Chobe River.

Our trip also included a full-day safari, with a picnic lunch. Unfortunately, we didn’t see all the big-five, but it was amazing to see birds and animals in their natural habitat, up close and personal.

Overall, Fortune did us proud and we would definitely recommend his services if you are interested in visiting Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia.

A ‘BIG’ thank you to Forche Tours and Travel for a memorable holiday.

5 days Amboseli National Park
4/5

Directly contacted Karibu Safaris in Kenya for a 5 day safari in Amboseli park. Robert responded quickly on my emails. We agreed on 4x4 and driver for a competitive rate. Payment can be made in EUR/USD/KES. Flexible pickup and dropoff places. Little information was sent before the actual pickup. So a little bit nervous if the driver would be there, but he was on time. The car was reliable, clean and maintained. We had a pleasant time with Raymond. He drives safely. He can be a little quiet, we usually started the conversation. All in all a good experience and good value for money.

well managed

I (single traveler with request to join a group) booked 4 days, 3 nights, Masai Mara + Lake Nakuru safari with 4x4
Kakitu our driver and guide for Masai Mara was energetic with keen eye for locating animals
The stay was fine.
For Lake Nakuru due to non-availability of fellow travelers had to go with private Van (costed additional) but the arrangement and transfers were well managed.
Thank you Mika (tour manager) for arranging the entire tour.

Many National parks in few days, but a lot of transport time on the road. Remember snacks and water.
4/5

Bought a 6 day safari trip. Nice service to be picked up at our hotel before meeting up with the rest of the group. We were 5 in all. Even that we started early morning 0630 AM, we took almost a hole day to get to Maasai Mara park, due to heavy trafik and bad roads. 1 stop for lunch, and rest of the day driving. We had a short game drive just before sunset, and back to camp for dinner. Nice camp with good tents and service. Day 2: all day game drive where we saw all big 5, and a cheetah and a lot of other animals. Our guide, Stanley, could tell a lot about them all. Our car broke down. The starter didn't work, so we had to park down hill or relay om a push from others guides. Your are not allowed to leave the car outside camp areas in the park! Day 3, early morning game drive before going to Nakuru park. Half way 3 from the group went to Nairobi, and we,2, went on with Stanley as our private driver for the last 3 days. Day 3, was a long day on the road, with an ekstra stop at Lake Naivasha for a boat trip among Hippos and eagles. Arrived late at hotel for dinner and a sleep. Sadly somebody had a party, so not that much sleep that night. Next morning Stanley took us to Lake Nakuru, where we were lucky to see a black Rhino, and 3 wide Rhino up close. Then off to Lake Amboseli via Nairobi. Arrived late, because the last 30 km of road was under construction. Very nice camp with really good tents, good look to the mountain. Nice owner and staff. Lucky to be at the foot og Mount Kilimanjaro in full moon and with the biggest snow cap in years. Next day good fotos of Kilimanjaro and a hole day of game drive. A lot of animals, including the famous Amboseli elephants with tusks over 2 meters! Stanley was very good to spot animals and tell about the park. Last day, started early, and lucky because we found a mother Cheetah with 4 cups right close to the road. The cups ran under the car more times and the mother were calm about it. Then off for Nairobi, and home by plane.
In all a good trip, but you only get 1 bottle of water a day, so bring your own and some snacks for the road. Lunch isn't the best. Sadly we had to go the hole trip in a car with an defekt starter engine, and had to push it to start too. That is why the last star is missing.
Stanley is a good driver and guide, and know his way around all the parks we visited.

Very nice experience
4/5

We took a 4 days safari and it was great!! The first night at Panorama camp was very comfortable and the food was nice. From there, we pack our own tents and sleeping bags and mattresses to the camps Seronera and Simba located in Serengueti and Ngorongoro parks. The 3 parks we visited are very different: in Seronera we saw lots of elephants and monkeys and other animals are hard to spot becasue of the interrumpted geography that is hills. Serengueti is hugeee and it takes long distances to see the different animals, in there we saw a lot of lions, cheetas and even the Leopard. Ngorongoro is beyond espectacular, we saw even rhynos and the landscape is so magical and different to the Sabana.
Our driver was Chambuzo and cooker Peter, they are both amazing!!! Chambuzo has a lot of experience and can spot the animals sooo easily, and Peter cooks amazing local food. Both respectufl and very nice.
There were only 2 thing that has place to improvement, one is the condition of the matresses and the sleeping bags, they were dirty. So if you have the chance to take your own sleeping bag I think it is woth it. Te second is that they prefer the payment in cash and the ATM only gives you 600K TZ shilling at the time with 10.000 bills, so we had to witdraw 7 times and one person that was on the safari got his card stucked in the machine. The payment with credit card charges 5% fees in all Tanzania and the international transfer is also expensive. So the payment method could also be improved.
