Perfect 5-days safari
5/5

We just returned to snowy Sweden from a fantastic week in Tanzania. We are a family of four where the kids are 10 and 15 years. We booked a 5 days’ safari where we visited the Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Lake Manyara.
Friends and colleagues recommended us to contact Sunny Safaris, which we did. The reservation, preparations for the travel went well and everything passed without complications.
When we arrived at Kilimanjaro Airport, David met us. David was our guide and he took care of us throughout the trip.
It took a day until we realized we did not have to guard our interests, David did it for us!
He knew what we wanted to see and experience, and he had the experience and expertise to fulfill it. So, we handed ourselves in his hands and we did not have to regret it at any point. Better host and guide, one cannot get.
The structure of the route, guidance and the wonderfully nice and fine lodges were very good and incredibly affordable. It is sad that we didn’t plan for an extra night at Serena Hotel Ngorongoro for example. Lovely place with very friendly staff!
In the parks, David knew in advance where to take us to see all the animals. It was an amazing experience to be so close to all the wild animals without bothering or disturbing them, which is important.
We were overwhelmed by all the animals we saw, the beautiful scenery and everything interesting we experienced and were told about.
As Erik, 10 years repeatedly said to David. “This is the best I have experienced in my life!”

Outstanding.... Give these guys a try and you won't regret it.
5/5

We decided to gift our parents a surprise anniversary gift of 4 nights/5 days in Kenya. Helder the Customer Happiness Manager was more than helpful to assist me in preparing the itinerary and advising on options and solutions. The trip was to Nakuru, Naivasha and Maasai Mara.

My parents had a fabulous time there and Helder ensured everything was covered right from their pickup from the airport and arranging all their meals/ hotel stay and safari rides upto their return back to the hotel. Their driver/guide, Steve was very punctual, friendly and informative. He knew the area well and he had sharp eyes wherein he could spot the animals from a distant. They fortunately saw all the Big 5. We heard stories from people that it’s difficult to find a leopard but they saw twice on the same day and all credit goes to Steve. The first time they couldn’t see the leopard clearly as it was hidden in the bushes so in the evening Steve drove a long distance just to show them another one and this one was resting on a tree. His sincerity is admired as he could have just taken them home and they wouldn’t know. They also had a lioness walking in front and side of their vehicle. It is all due to his patience.

The organisation accepts bank transfer payment or balance payment of cash in USD on arrival.

They are prompt in their email responses and very accurate in their information.

Moreover, they provided a good itinierary with a reasonable cost.

Great trip with good value
4/5

We went on a one week camping safari to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We had a wonderful time! The provided equipment (tent, sleeping bags, car) were in good shape. The tour was as booked, sometimes we did even a bit longer game drives - thank you for that! We went with Thomas (guide) and Dogo (cook). They were really nice and we had a great time and even learned some Swahili during the meals. We saw many big cats, buffaloes, rhinos, giraffes etc. and are very satisfied with our tour. Still we think our guide could have spot more animals - we found most because of other guides. The last days really felt like they wanted to go home and they didn't put as much effort into the tour at the end. Besides that we are very satisfied and happy with our tour and would recommend Sunny Safari!

Bucking your bucket list
5/5

Safaris do not come better than the experience i had with Soul of Tanzania. My plethora of requests such as style of accommodations, safety, equipment and sanity were all answered within a day and with concise information. I was never kept waiting for long. Still, pages and pages of emails cannot and will not prepare you for the majesty of Tanzania's northern parks and Soul of Tanzania does an amazing, detail oriented job at fulfilling this bucket list journey. I was met by a fully qualified guide on the night before my departure into the wild in Arusha and was briefed on what was going to happen the next few days. The professionally orchestrated safari of 4 days allowed me (solo traveller) and my safari mates the opportunity to catch well over 30 species of animals in three parks. Soul of Tanzania makes it a point to avoid touristic routes within the larger parks as you really don't want to see a giant air-conditioned bus in the brush. Those are terrible and we as consumers should really send the message and remove them from the parks. We shared many quiet moments with lions just meters away with no other vehicles in sight.

I will certainly return to Tanzania to visit the parks i didn't have the opportunity to earlier this year, and i wouldn't hesitate to return to Soul of Tanzania for their top class service and execution!

It was such an awesome and breathtaking experience on our first gorilla trekking trip to Uganda. The tour was highly well planned and everything was executed according to the itinerary. It was a memorable experience watching the gorilla in their natural habitat. We all felt like we were watching an animal television channel. A most pleasant and rewarding experience
Overall rating
4/5

We were there with our Bird Club and the birding was fantastic. It is nice to see Mountain Zebras, Black Wildebees and Springbok which you don't always see in other National Parks. The accommodation is good though there was a bit of noise at times due to the ongoing building of new chalets. The scenery is magnificent despite very dry conditions. Wonderful view from our chalet patio. The staff without exception were friendly and so helpful. We had a tasty dinner in the restaurant on one of the nights of our stay.

A Challenge..worth taking!
4/5

Lional. at Matoke, Uganda was a great agent and organized my 8-day tour very well. Andrew, my tour guide was an ornithologist extraordinaire, a good safari guide and knew the roadways very well. He made an effort to ensure I saw what I wanted to see. However, the terrain when tracking chimpanzees and more so, Gorillas, was a challenge. It was a marvelous experience I would not have missed but I believe Matoke Tours should ensure that their clients are aware that a certain level of fitness is required for those searching for primates in the dense forests, the walkways erected some years back are in serious decline and crossing streams is achieved by taking your socks and shoes off. All this adds up to a level of 'risk' so I believe health insurance is more of a 'must do' and should be suggested at the time of booking. Due diligence! The Ugandans are very friendly, helpful and pleasant and at the lodges more so. Had a great time I shall always remember.

A great 3-day safari and nature experience
5/5

From the beginning, communication with Hello Tanzania was quick and easy. The service was friendly and on-time at every part of our trip. The safari and hiking day lived up to expectations, we had a great time, saw all the animals we had wanted to see. We loved Camp Bastian, the location we stayed at overnight. Hello Tanzania kindly organized our trips to and from the airport as well, which made the rest of our trip easy. Thanks Hello Tanzania!
