An excellent weekend with Bramwel Safaris
5/5

We were a group of 15 people who went in safari with Bramwel safaris. We was very satisfied with our trip and felt like Bramwel Safari had a genuine wish to give us the best experience we could get. They made a program that was made out of our wishes, budget and our timelimit. They were available 24 hours the days we spent with the company. The food was good, the cars were comfortable and the guides made the weekend complete! Than you Bramwell for giving us a wonderful weekend, we will recommend Bramwel to everyone!

Great Company and great Team!
5/5

We traveled as students group from the university of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Open Africa Safaris handled everything about our trip. From the day we started to contact John who is Open Africa Safaris' representative in the USA, he was so quick to answer our questions. He answered all our questions and gave us options on our trip, he was absolutely excellent on communication. When we got in Tanzania we were amazed with an incredible service that Open Africa Safaris' team provide to us in Tanzania. We stayed in wonderful Lodges, food was so delicious, and we even got to try an African food known as Ugali. Our Tour Guide Joseph was such an amazing guy, not only that he showed us all animals we wanted to see but he was so friendly as well. Each of us were very happy about the trip because we got more than we expected. Truly, that was unforgettable experience and we thank Open Africa Safaris to make our dream come true. On behalf of my group, I highly recommend Open Africa Safaris to other student groups as well as individuals who would like to go on tour in Tanzania.

Life changing
5/5

The communication from the guides telling us our daily programme was very good, service was better than a 5 star hotel, the expectation I had and the experience I had was worlds apart, I can recommend this tour to anyone. The leadership each member showed and the commitment was really out of this world. It changed my life.

Best Safari Tour!
5/5

We did the 4-Days masai mara tour with guide john. It was an amazing experience. Our guide took wonderful care of us, was a safe driver, was very knowledgeable about all the sites, took us to amazing views, catered to our every need. It was an all around amazing experience. We stayed for 3nights in masai mara and by far this tour was our favorite part of our kenya the trip! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

There was one lodge in Ngorogoro which was pretty mediocre but the rest of it was excellent and very accommodating especially when we wanted to stay an extra day in the crater

Great Experience in a real wonderful place
5/5

We spent 10 days across the most important Natural Reserves in Kenia and Tanzania: Maasai Mara, Serengeti, Ngoro Ngoro, Amboseli, Lake Manyara. We had great time with Loth Kornelio, we see lots of animals, great landscapes, slept in tend in wonderful wild places. I really enjoed that experience.
I only missed a nightlife safari...next time!

Very responsive, but a little disorganized
3/5

Robert's company was recommended through the Nairobi Expat Marketplace forum and overall, we had a good trip. The driver who accompanied us was friendly and great at spotting animals (though not necessarily able to tell us much about the animals). Robert was also very responsive to our emails both in the planning stage, and throughout the safari when we needed to clarify things.

My suggestion would be that if you book with Maasai Trails East Africa, to send a confirmation email the day before to confirm that you will be getting water and binocular. Both were forgotten for us, which was disappointing. Maasai Trails reimbursed us for the water we purchased, but no binoculars meant some of the animals further from the road were harder to see. Also double-check the itinerary: our driver didn't know half of our itinerary and there was a lot of confusion over whether he had been given the park fees, etc. Ultimately Robert handled the situation but it would have been nice to not have had to spend an evening calling and clarifying our itinerary.

Despite the forgotten items, we enjoyed our safari experience overall. Thanks, Robert and crew! If you all improve communication within your team members and ensure that what is listed in the package is included in the car, you'll be a 5-star deal.

We were nervous about the whole trip. Renny and team ( family) made us feel very comfortable with all the goods and Bads of a safari. Most importantly, Asante Safaris was with us all the way , including pickups , transfers, proffessional guides, and very comfortable accommodations! We are already planning our next Safari with Asante Safaris. Have no objections whatsoever in recommending Asante Safaris !! Keep up the good Service!!

Nature at its finest comes to life
Overall rating
5/5

The Ngorongoro Crater is truly a magical place. Our guide called it the eighth wonder of the world and he was correct. Having come off of a five day safari in the Serengeti the crater was our last visit. It was by far in my opinion the best. The animals are plentiful for sure. There is about 9 lion prides in the crater along with their neighbors hyenas, jackals, vultures, zebras, wildebeests, cape buffalo, hippo. leopard and the ever elusive rhino, etc... the crater is one of the few places you will have the opportunity to view a rhino in the wild. The guide indicated there were at least 16 in the park. We got the chance to only see one in person. This rounded out the big 5 in Tanzania for our tour.

The highlight for me is always the big cats. We were fortunate to see a live kill of a cape buffalo by one of the prides. Visible there were three males, two females and three cubs taking part in the feast. I have photos showing the feast commencing. It is was also interesting to note the dynamics among species. For example the it was clear the hyenas were alerting the lions to the fact the vultures were approaching. As a reward the lions allow the hyena to take part in the feast. The jackals had to wait their turn as did the vultures. Seeing a kill on TV is one thing, seeing it in person is entirely different you will not want to look away.

The Ngorongoro Crater is an unfilled volcanic caldera. We drove down about 2000 feet to get to the floor of the crater. This takes about 30 mins. There is a salt lake in the center and other tributaries that support the biodiversity in the area. The ride through the park can be rough. For the most part we arrived early in the day so it was overcast but that did not lessen the experience.

Again for me it was about the animals so to share what you will see in order of plenty:
Wildebeest-- many (and you get real close to them)
Zebra-- many (and you get real close to them)
Hippo -- many (and you get real close to them)
Lions -- many (and you get real close to them but from the truck!)
Hyenas -- many
Jackals -- many
Rabbits--many
Cape Buffalo --many
Leopard -- few
Rhino --few

Overall I highly recommend the tour. Do not settle for the 2 hour tour either. It will take you 30 mins down and 30 mins up. Take a day tour wherever possible. It is well worth it.
