Great value for a safari, did one in Tanzania which cost double but wasn't as good.

This one was efficient, which means you will have a better experience viewing animals and we had a friendly and knowledgable driver who was able to help pus see some amazing things within a short space of time. Accommodation and meals were better than expected and we have no complaints. If we were to go again I wouldn't hesitate to book with the same company. Driver was Samuel.

Overall we had an incredible trip. A dream vacation for wildlife lovers and those seeking a friendly cultural experience. Our safari provider, African Big Cats, was skilled, organized and professional throughout the excursion. We’d return in a heartbeat.

An experience of a lifetime

Oh where to start - abundant wildlife, the most variety of birds that we've ever seen,... The lodges and huts that I stayed at were comfortable and the food served was delicious. The staff were absolutely amazing, friendly and accommodating. Last but not least, the tour guides were welcoming, knowledgeable and ensured our safety throughout the trip.

My trip to the Okavango Delta, Botswana was the best trip I've ever been on, it was an experience of a lifetime.

Above our expectations
5/5

My wife and I did the 6 nights/7 days safari. The experience was above our expectations from the hotel pick up to the airport transfer at the end. You don't need to worry about one thing, your guide is there for you all the time. We are usually travelling on our own but this time we thought that it would be easier to book a trip like this one. With Moriti, you don't only get a safari trip, but more like a life experience. You don't only see animals, you get to learn about the bush and the life in it.

It was such a great experience! Viva Safari (our tour operator) did a great job by showing us so many different aspects of the South African wildlife, the differences of Krueger NP and the Private Game Reserves as well as the struggling of Rehabilitation Centers for animals. We stayed in different lodges, which was also very exciting. All the people we met were so friendly, hosting an really loved what they do. We had a wonderful time and will definitely do it again!

Nowhere else have I seen such huge herds of wild elephants - it was an incredible sight. There was also huge amounts of other wildlife, like baboons, giraffe, antelope and zebra.

Best safari imaginable
5/5

The trip I had in Tanzania guided by Davis Albert was easily my best holiday ever! The experience could not have been better for my family. My wife Andie and I had wondered how our 11 and 16 year-old daughters Ruby and Alice would take to long safaris – well, they immediately got into it and loved every minute!

We visited a wonderful mixture of places on driving safari in central/southern Tanzania. It was great to experience different kinds of place: bush camping by the river in the undulating woodlands of Selous Game Reserve, permanent tented camping at Stanley’s Kopjie in Mikumi National Park, the cool, green mountains of Udzungwa NP, and the waterholes and beautiful acacia and baobab woodland of Ruaha NP. Wildlife from the huge to the tiny was abundant throughout, and none of it could escape the incredibly sharp eyes of Davis! One second he would spot a highly camouflaged Verreaux’s eagle-owl nearby, the next instant he could pick out a speck on the horizon that would magically turn into a Greater Kudu or leopard. It was so great to be with someone whose astounding knowledge of the wildlife was matched by tireless efforts to share and explore with us. Davis was not only guide, but also cultural ambassador, Swahili coach, entertainer and all round wonderful company!

The diverse magic of the places we visited was really enhanced by being virtually the only people around, except the wonderful crew who cheerfully made sure that we had everything we wanted, and were safe and
comfortable. All the arrangements were smooth, at the right time and place, and we never had down-time caused by something not working. This made the trip effortless for us - a stark contrast to our usual camping
holidays. The days were punctuated with welcome experiences provided by someone else! Stopping under the branches of baobab and tamarind trees, an interesting packed lunch appearing apparently from nowhere. A cold drink would suddenly materialize by the campfire overlooking the river. A day on safari was followed by a warm shower in the ensuite section of the tent. And it was not just routine, but also special, thoughtful
provisions. We happened to mention that Alice was turning 16. Davis is extremely well-connected, with friends and relations apparently everywhere. That evening, courtesy of his cousin chef, a surprise birthday cake appeared labelled ‘Happy Birthday Alice’ with candles and accompanied by ‘Happy Birthday’ sung with Swahili accents.

It was with great regret that we left Davis to round out our extraordinary visit to Tanzania with a couple of days on the unique island of Zanzibar, from where we made a three-day visit to the incredible eco-tourist spot Chumbe Island. Home to the world’s largest invertebrate, the Coconut crab, Chumbe is a paradise of exciting snorkelling among turtles on the gorgeous reef, bright beaches, and a very charming crew of dedicated staff who care so excellently for the island and its visitors.

I can unhesitatingly give my highest recommendation for a trip with Davis and his team. Our complete confidence in him was totally justified. In the time it took to plan our adventure, we developed very high expectations: they were more than met – our safari (Swahili for journey) was even better than we had dreamed. We can’t wait to go back to Tanzania, to see Davis and Nyasi Adventure!

The Okavango Delta is unlike anywhere else on earth. I did the camping experience, which was very back to nature - toilets were a hole dug in the ground, and there were no showers or ways of getting properly clean. However, it was made worth it by the early morning bush walks, where we got extremely close to a variety of animals including elephants, birds and zebra, and the beautiful scenery where there wasn't a building or road in sight. Another highlight was the boat trips, especially at sunset, where we explored the delta in small boats with very knowledgeable guides and got very close to wild hippos. The weather was beautiful - sunny all day, and the food was also amazing, and there was plenty of it. Our guides also made lovely bracelets and gifts which you could buy for a small price and which served as a lovely keepsake or present.

Esther, owner, was extremely prompt and honest during email correspondence. She lined us up with a private 6 day safari in Masi Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli which was absolutely amazing even though it was the dry season. We checked off every major animal including the hard to find ones like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and rhinos thanks to our driver and guide, John. There was a bit of a mix up with our final hotel reservation in Nairobi before our departure, but Esther made a point to fix the problem so that her customers would walk away happy. Thanks so much to Esther, John (driver/guide) and Kenya Budget Safari!
