Our experience was absolutely amazing. I would recommend the experience and Spirit of Kenya to anyone and everyone. Our driver Kennedy was fantastic. Super friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful. We made a great friendship with Ken.

The lodging choices were great, we loved them all. The staff at all of the places were fantastic. We especially liked the Lake Nakuru lodge and the PrideInn Tents. The restaurants were great and we loved the bar staff.

The hot air ballon ride was the highlight of our trip. The ride itself was amazing but we loved the breakfast and mimosas afterwards.

We saw all of the major animals and more, was shocked at all of the wildlife, they were everywhere.

Working with yourself and the booking staff was super easy and seamless and made the experience great.

Wow- it really is fantastic. I only knocked the birding because, like Ngorongoro, it takes a lot of effort to go birding here if you really want to rack up the species. But there are fantastic birds like bustards, Secretarybirds, zillions of eagles and storks, etc.

Visited Cape Town initially, amazing food and the key tourist element were great, views for table mountain incredible and robbed island tour a must!
Then went round to boulders bay and visited the penguins - very unique and the cape of good hope national park.
From there we went to Hermanus and a great boat trip to see the sea life - dolphins, seals and penguins, although wrong time of year for whales!
We then went to cape augulas - the very tip of Africa where the Indian Ocean meets the Atlantic Ocean - good day out on superb roads in the western cape area and the odd baboon!
After this we spent a couple of days in Stellenbosch and did a couple of great wine tours before flying from Cape Town to Hoedspruit for a 4 day safari in the imbala lodge in the middle of the Kruger national park - what a final leg - saw all the major animals - lions, leopards, giraffe and elephants and millions of Impala! The hospitality and people were so friendly and the food was amazing !!! Defiantly coming back as soon as I have saved up !

Not so many large mammals here. The scenery and Indian Ocean are ok but not great. Probably the only reason to go is for convenience from Dar.

From February 11th to February 16th, 2024, we booked a safari in Tanzania with Ngekewa. Joshua was our contact person and did everything to satisfy us. Joshua is very reliable and was almost available around the clock if we had any questions. Everything went wonderfully smoothly. Upon arrival at the international airport in Arusha, the driver was already waiting for us and took us to the hotel in Arusha. The next morning, the safari began. On our itinerary were: Tarangire National Park, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and a hike at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, where we visited a coffee plantation and hiked to a beautiful waterfall. The booked accommodations were impeccable. What impressed us greatly, of course, were the indescribably beautiful landscapes and the animals we were able to observe. We can definitely recommend Ngekewa Tours.

I wasn't that keen on the crater at first- it seems almost like a zoo. But it is spectacularly beautiful and loaded with great mammals. Birding could be great if you had the money and time to really go after it, but that's not possible for most visitors.

We will never travel SA without Pembury !
5/5

As we traveled SA with a honeymoon itinery from Pembury in 2013 (Garden Route) and were more than satisfied we decided to come back in 2014 and travel from Cape Town to the Kalahari and back. It was an awesome and unique trip again and we were really satisfied.
Communication with Kerry was very easy and prompt via email, so was the payment.
We can only recommend them!

This is another park that's great but not where you want to start. There are some really special mammals here, but not tons of them. Birding is really good in the Northern Hemisphere winter, less so when the migrants are gone. Almost no tourists go here, so the staff are particularly friendly and the camping area is really comfortable. I don't think there are any active lodges nearby, but we only camped, so I'm not sure.

Spend more time at Tarangire or Ngorongoro instead.
