First of all I have to thank you Karumuna Safaris for exciting time. We spent two weeks together. We visited Murchison Falls, chimpanzees, rhino sanctuary, gorillas, Bunyoni Lake. The operator even helped us with tickets in Kenya.
We felt safe, although there had adventures, malaria and repaired cars. Richard took care of everything! And we will remember this wonderful adventure forever!

Terrific time. The variety of animals seen was beyond our expectations. Reviews that suggest this reserve is limited were off. This was a great experience.

Professional and pleasant safari team!
5/5

The cooperation with Kilidove Safari was a pleasure right from the first enquiry to the end after four great safari days. The team is service minded, professional and well prepared and the itinerary worked out well and met the standards and qualities, which had been advertised in this "all inclusive, full package tour". The guide was very friendly and attentive to the needs of us as travellers and took good care that all worked out fine. By comparison with other tour operators, we preferred Kilidove exactly because it was an all-inclusive full package tour and very transparent - other companies require you to pay separately and directly daily salary to both the driver, guide and cook and that could easily be an uncomfortable situation. Moreover, we enjoyed not be treated as tourist by Kilidove, but as keen travellers. The settlement of all payments directly to Kilidove went well and was well documented by finance department in Kilidove - however the international bank transfers turned out to be quite expensive especially as we had to cover the bank charges in Tanzania also and not only the bank charges in Denmark. Perhaps alternative methods of payment could be sought in the future. The Kilidove gift to my teenagers - Tanzania football shirts - matching their age - was really a nice gesture showing that Kilidowe pays attention to each customer in a nice manner.

Viewing the Kabalega Falls now named Murchison Falls is simply magical. Here is where the whole river Nile, "the world's longest river" is squeezed through a 5 meter wide cleavage and pounding down through an approximately 45 meters long falls forming an amazing rainbow in the hotter part of the day. This is Uganda's largest conservation area with a vast variety of vegetation cover from open savanna, equatorial rain forest, savanna woodland and

The major attraction here is the large population of chimpanzees which the closet primate related to man. There is also a very rich swamp with other primate species close to the park part located to the community giving visitors a unique chance of mixing with the local s hence spicing up their adventure. Bigodi swamp and community walk is an activity any visitor should not miss if the make a visit to this park. The park also has quite a variety of bird species.

About: Kenya
Travelling in Kenya requires an open mind!

Wildlife - stunning! You will most probably see more than you expected. NB! Not recommendable for people who need more than 1-2 bathrooms stops per day.
Booking a safari tour - be ready that the tour will take place in principle, but not as agreed. You will learn afterwards what does the tour include, what is mandatory/optional, how many people will be there in the group (can be also 8 despite "max 7" in the tour description), how much does which part of the tour cost, in which minivan you will be, etc. Before the booking is confirmed, answers to various questions are received quickly (and you will even be looked up via WhatsApp), but when an issue arises during your safari, you will not get hold of anybody, and no solution will be there either... Your seat may not necessarily have a safety belt (and the ride on these roads really demands it!). At the end you are just very happy that you are back in Nairobi!
Booking an accommodation - the booking may work, but also be ready that it does not work (it gets cancelled, you will be advised to cancel it, you are offered lucrative alternatives - say 'no' to these!) and you will need to find quickly a new one for you.
Booking a beach trip on your own - domestic flights perfectly ok and with a good service. Online boarding pass, however, needs to be changed into another boarding pass at the counter. Diani beach is marvelous!
Paying with cash - works in principle, but be ready that when paying with larger bills than the item costs, you will not get back anything, because "Sorry, sir/madam, I don't have any small bills". Whenever possible, use MPesa.
Transportation - use Uber. Works very well.
Roads - there are hard-cover roads where the ride is smooth, but outside the capital, be ready for roads that 'check your internal organs'.
Cleanliness - clean in safari park, inside shopping malls, buildings, hotel areas, beach, else not...
Airport security - be ready for several check-points where you need to 'unpack' your watch, phone, laptop, etc. for one single trip, incl. domestic ones.
People are friendly.
Enjoy coconut, avocado and mango - they are truly exceptionally fresh and delicious.

About: Tanzania
Tanzania - the perfect destination holiday

I had a fabulously memorable time on my Tanzanian private solo safari. An African safari was a long held dream and I am so glad that I chose Tanzania. I saw so many animals, including the big five. I visited Manyara, Ngorongoro, the Serengeti and Lake Natron and loved that each was so different, with its own charm. I stayed in a mix of lodges and camps that were also quite different from each other and had their own atmosphere. They were all first rate, with great facilities and amazing food.

I was a little apprehensive about travelling solo, but I really wasn’t solo, as I had a fabulous guide. I had read that the guide makes or breaks a safari experience and now understand why this is so. Your guide's objective is to ensure that you have the best time, see as many animals as possible and keep you safe in the wilderness surrounded by some serious carnivores.

I also spent some time in Stone Town, Zanzibar, at a wonderful hotel, and enjoyed the contrast with the safari. I would highly recommend Tanzania as a destination.
