About: Namibia
Namibia was one of the most enchanting, fascinating, and beautiful countries I've ever been to!
Overall rating
5/5

My recent trip to Namibia was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I set foot in this captivating country, I was greeted by a landscape that seemed to stretch endlessly, offering a mesmerizing blend of natural wonders and cultural richness.

One of the highlights of my journey was the opportunity to witness Africa's magnificent wildlife in its natural habitat. Guided by the knowledgeable and charismatic Rudolf, every excursion into the wilderness felt like a chapter from a wildlife documentary come to life. From majestic lions prowling the savannah to graceful giraffes and elephants roaming the plains, every encounter left me in awe of the sheer diversity and beauty of Namibia's fauna.

The dunes of Sossusvlei painted a surreal picture against the canvas of the desert, while the rugged terrain of Damaraland offered a glimpse into the ancient history of this land. Whether it was the ethereal beauty of the Skeleton Coast or the serene tranquility of Etosha National Park, Namibia's landscapes never ceased to amaze me.

And then there were the sunsets! Words fail to capture the sheer magic of watching the sky set ablaze in a symphony of colors as the sun dipped below the horizon. Each evening felt like a celebration of nature's artistry

But perhaps the true gem of my Namibian adventure was my guide, Rudolf. His passion for his homeland was infectious, his knowledge boundless, and his commitment to ensuring an unforgettable experience for his guests unwavering. From sharing fascinating insights into Namibia's history and culture to regaling us with tales of his own adventures in the wilderness, Rudolf was more than just a guide – he was a friend, a mentor, and a source of endless inspiration.

I carry with me memories that will last a lifetime – memories of Africa's wildlife, its landscapes, its sunsets, and the remarkable people like Rudolf who make Namibia truly special.

Phinda combined the best of nature with the best accommodations, service and food!
Overall rating
5/5

We have been on many safaris and Phinda was one of, if not the best. We felt completely connected with nature , while still having Five Star amenities--accommodations, food, and service. This was one of the few lodges where I felt this way. The animals, the landscape, the design of the individual lodges at Vleit were just spectacular. I would recommend Phinda Vleit for anyone interested in having a phenomenal wildlife experience.

Great Safari and Guides!
Overall rating
5/5

We had a group of 14 and had an amazing experience. Our drivers were professional from the pick up until the drop off. They found 4 of the 5 Big 5 for us and were able to get us amazing views. We had a great experience from my first inquiry to the very end. We did more of a mid-level expense and the resort meant expectation, the staff was great, food was good, and the lodging was very comfortable.

Review about Tarangire National Park by echinsf97
Overall rating
4/5

Our first visit was to Tarangire. We were really impressed by the park, as our first safari experience. By comparison, I feel the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater are a step up. Nonetheless, Taragire was still an amazing place to visit. Lots of zebras and elephants. Out of the three we visited, it seemed to me that there were more various types of birds as compared to the Serentgeti and Ngorongoro.

The California of Africa
Overall rating
5/5

We visited Cape Town which I refer to as “the California of Africa” we stayed in Sea Point, Stellenbosch and Camps Bay. Camps bay was absolutely gorgeous! Very similar to Laguna Beach Ca. We then flew to Hudspruit to the Elephant Plains Lodge and WOW!! Our safari accommodations were superb and our trek guide Chris and Nic were great! When they tell you your guide makes the difference !!! It’s 100 true!! Chris and Nic were able to trek the BIG 5 in one drive on our second day it was a very rare and special day!!! Nic even had his shaved in honor of such an accomplishment!! Africa is truly magical and South Africa will always have a piece of my heart! Thank you

Beautiful scenery
Overall rating
5/5

The scenery and wildlife in the Crater was truly breathtaking. As a hobbyist photographer, the early morning clouds with the sunrise creates a really unique photo ops for you landscape photographers. Wildebeasts are abundant in the park, but watching them on the move or stampeding is really a site to behold. We almost checked off all of the Big 5 except the Rhino. This seemed to be the most elusive to track down in the park, so was a bit disappointed - but that does not take away from the overall experience visiting Ngorongoro. I would highly recommend this park to anyone planning a safari.

Review about Tarangire National Park by Rich Vliet
Overall rating
5/5

Tarangire National Park was our first stop in Tanzania (after stopping in Arusha for a meal). It had a wide variety of wildlife, from very large numbers of elephants to lions, giraffes, zebras and a wide variety of birds. It was a very nice park for game drives, and I would highly recommend including it in a safari tour if time allows.

Review about Serengeti National Park by Rich Vliet
Overall rating
5/5

I'm not sure what needs to be said about the Serengeti - it is just an incredible part of our planet! The vastness of the Serengeti plains is just something that must be seen to appreciate. Pictures and videos don't do it justice. We saw some fantastic things - from a lioness coming out of water and stalking a herd of Zebra, to a female cougar and 3 cubs eating the remains of an Impala that had been killed just a few moments before we arrived. While we weren't able to see a lot of the migration (we arrived as the larger herds were already a bit too far north to see), we did see a lot of wildebeest and zebra migrating, and overall were very happy with the wildlife we were able to see. The amount of lions we saw far exceeded our expectations - we probably saw 5 or 6 mating couples, and several prides.
