Safari near Johannesburg
Overall rating
5/5

Me and a friend stayed at Kwa Moritaine for a weekend and enjoyed two safari rides, one morning ride (with the sunset) and one during daytime. If you only have time for one safari join the morning one. The mornings is the best time to spot the animals. Except for leopard we saw all the "big five" in addition to lots of other antelopes, zebras. Our guide was very talented and knowledgeable. He could answer any question we threw at him.

The highlights of the safari was seeing lions in the wild (2 adult, 4 cubs) and a one day old elephant calf. This experience was priceless!

As for the accomodation Kwa Moritaine was a beautiful resort with excellent food and great service. Can absolutely recommend.

Great Responsive Service
5/5

My fiance and I had a great experience in our trip.
One of the important factors on the quality of that experience was the advises,
support and continues assistance we received from Robert, before/while planning and
during the trip. That assistance significantly improved the experience with respect
to my beginning plan.
That was the best trip we did ever did beign our 4th time in africa.

Unforgettable memories
Overall rating
5/5

Our family of four (kids aged 5 and 8) embarked on an unforgettable safari adventure in Kruger National Park with Khalanga Safaris in September 2023. From the moment we started planning with Shoes to the thrilling wildlife encounters, our experience was amazing.

Before we even flew to South Africa, Shoes was very helpful to help build our Kruger stay. Once in Johannesburg, our transfer from O.R Tambo was smooth and off we were on safari.

Our itinerary made us spend two nights in Skukuza and 1 night in Satara. Changing camps allowed us to witness the changing landscape and see different types of animals. We were lucky to see four of the big five, including leopards and lions from up close.

Without Shoes’ spotting talents, we would probably have missed half the wildlife and he shared interesting details on the animals we were seeing. Desmond cooked us delicious food which made the experience even more special.

We will cherish the memories of our trip to South Africa and in particular these three days spent with Khalanga Safaris in Kruger National Park.

My trip met my expectations, it went as expected. I took the 3 day safari to Kruger National Park, it may take about 5 days. I also visited the Pilanesberg national park, it is highly recommended, it is easier to see wildlife in this place than in Kruger. Thanks to Viva safari and Moafrika for making these experiences possible.

Amazing underwater Safari Komodo
5/5

We where on a longer trip and had plans to go to Komodo, but did not really know what the options are and what the best thing would be for us. We contacted Indigo Safari and Chris did an outstanding job describing the various options which helped us to take our decisions. He was very patient with us (we did not always had Internet access and let him wait somethimes). We ended up chartering a small liveaboard for a very comprehensive price, and had an excellent time diving some of the best spots in Komodo, including the somethimes difficult areas in the nord. Finally we booked a week in Ambon to get started with Muck diving, and we loved it.
Chris has very good ideas and is able to book you into spots that are not available through a normal travel agency.

An amazing place to experience safari
Overall rating
4/5

With the Ngorogoro crater being the star attraction, it would be easy to overlook Lake Manyara for a safari. However, thankfully, we didn't and had an amazing time there.
We saw a wide range of wildlife such as Elephants, Babboons, Sea Eagles, Kingfishers as well as Flamingo's which the park is famous for.
The scenery in the park varies. When you enter, you travel through forest but once you reach the viewpoints over the lake, the land stretches on for miles over open plains.
We were there in August and the temperature was moderate (mid 20's) so pleasant enough without being unbearable.
The park is less crowded than Ngorogoro which means that it feels a little more personal.
If you only had one day to do a safari, would I pick Lake Manyara?.....well probably not because Ngorogoro is deservedly one of the most incredible places I've visited. However, don't overlook Manyara; you'll have a different but amazing time there too.
