Game drives in Queen Elizabeth
Overall rating
4/5

I spent one day and one night in Queen Elizabeth and did the game drive in Inshasha and one in the north of the park. The scenery was good especially in the south of the park. We saw lots of animals including several close encounters with elephants. Sadly no lions though. I drove my personal car but we picked up an UWA ranger for the game drive. I'm glad we did since he knew the best places to stop which I would have likely passed otherwise. We stayed overnight @theRiver which I definitely recommend. Good food and accommodation. There were not many other tourists around so it felt like we had a lot of the park to ourselves. I went in February which is the dry season and was a nice climate.

Best safari location ever!

We booked our flights from the Netherlands ourselves and traveled with a private guide, Augustin Adventures (excellent!). Serengeti was the highlight of our Holiday. You see so many animals and have a much closer feel to nature than in other parks in Africa. There is a great variety in scenery, and the quantity of animal sighting is unbelievable! If you love this kind of holiday, Serengeti is a must! Be convinced by my photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/joco_knoop/sets/72157642333540703/

we saw so many elephants of all sizes and groups, we saw two lionesses stalk their prey for over an hour only to be foiled at the last minute. it was the experience of a lifetime and I can't wait to go back.

Wildlife was phantastic, especially the trecking to the Shimpanse and Gorillas. Also the

The whole country of Uganda we found very green and fruitfull. People were frindly and
always helpfull. Food was nice, transportation comfortable and the roads ars as they are.
Our guide could not be better and also the weather was very good.
Special thanks for the last dinner under the sky of Africa.

We saw all the 'big five' and many many more animals. The scenery generally was inspiring, but especially in Ambaseli and Tsavo West

The general organisation and attention to detail of South African game reserves is second to none. The rangers and hotel staff are universally knowledgeable and pleasant. Our one regret is that South Africa is a big country and we can't visit all of it much though we would like to!
