River cruise was excellent but safari drive was more like Dakar Ralley
The Chobe river cruise was excellent. Plenty of wildlife, relaxing and a great sunset. I did a safari on a safari vehicle, 9 people and it was dusty and more akin to the Dakar Ralley I thought. Guide didn't take time to show in detail, everything was rushed.
My July trip 2015
I have been on safari many times, but this has been my best safari vacation ever.
Since I am particularly interested in elephants and lions, However, for a "first timer" the Serengeti National park is beautiful and the landscape is absolutely stunning
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
If anybody indicates lions and elephants as their main interest. then advice them to go to Serengeti and Ngorongoro However, I understand that my own concerns about off-road driving have influenced the decision to go to both Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.. Cheers to Northern Masailand Safaris
Sanna and Saxon Trip Amazing
Overall we had a great trip. Special thanks to our guide Henry who was with us up to and including Elias - he was knowledgable, friendly, Ngorongoro was spectacular with early morning mist later giving way to brighter weather, and many interesting game sightings.
After an interesting side-trip to Oldupai Gorge, we entered the Serengeti which was really beautiful. The early rains meant it was already quite green. We saw quite a lot of game, especially from Dunia, including a lot of the migration. Quite large herds of wildebeest were already moving south through the central Serengeti.
When we got to Olekira we were afraid there might not be any wildebeest left north of the Mara river. However no sooner had we got to our tent on arrival when we had to literally "scramble" to the vehicles to race to a crossing which was taking place just in front of the camp. Later we saw two more crossings during our stay. In one of these we followed a large herd for some time as they moved along the river bank. Occasionally some would go down to the waters edge, only to go back again up the bank. Finally they decided to stop teasing us, and all charged across the river right in front of us. Many thanks to Northern Masailand Safaris team.
Review about Tanzania by SnowmanStudios.de
There are a lots of great NP´s around. The distance between the hotspots is sometimes long, but worth each mile.
Trip of a Lifetime - Mwanza & Dar - Very Memorable, Safari was Truly Magical & Zanzibar was Glorious
Sona @ KaribuWorld put in a lot of Time, Enthusiasm & Expertise into organizing our Itinerary. It was clear to see that she had not missed out any minute details in planning our Trip. She was able to confidently advise us on what would best suit our needs & interests and we are thankful for her brilliant recommendations. She truly is an Asset to the company and we cannot wait to organize our next trip with Karibu World!
Summited Kilimanjaro on 7 Day Machame Route
I could not have been more happy with my experience with Abakombe because of Alphonce and Jimmy. In July 2015, I went on the 7 day Machame route to climb Kilimanjaro. Even though I was climbing by myself, Abakombe still had great prices.
Being that I was not in the best of shape I was pretty nervous about getting to the top. Jimmy could not have been a better guide. He was so patient and encouraging to help me get to the top. I definitely perfected the art of Pole Pole which is often repeated on the mountain reminding climbers to climb Slowly.
Making it to the summit was not easy but I know I only got to the top because of my Guide Jimmy and great team of porters.
I was not able to go on a safari on this trip but am looking forward to using Abakombe when I am able to take another trip to Tanzania.
Flexible and reliable
As tanzania travellers having a few extra days to spend, we ran into Kevin of Zuri tours and safaris in Moshi. Kevin was able to arrange a day trip to the Kikuletwa hot springs near Moshi, then bring us to Arusha and even all the way to Dar es Salaam a few days later. Kevin is knowledgeable, resourceful and funny, and always checking if you're ok. He speaks perfect english, something you don't encounter at every local safari company. He knows how to make sure you enjoy, and even arranges local people to guide, while translating the swahili to english for you, so you really get to know a lot more about a place. Also, his company has very reasonable prices, just make sure to get a clear quote per person or for the whole group. Kevin will make sure there won't be any extra, hidden costs (which you absolutely don't always find around these parts). Would definitely make use of Kevin's services again.
A truly unique company!
Big5Boutique were superb. They listened to what I wanted from the holiday and created an itinerary that took us off the beaten track to really secluded bush camps for a special safari experience. At all stages on the trip we were looked after by smiling and helpful ground staff who handled border crossings and transfers with ease. Their personal knowledge of the camps was the main reason for booking through them. I'm already planning my next African adventure!
The Best Botswana Safari Experience
The most important decision for any safari is the guide you either choose or end up with - this is my honest and humble opinion. And if you decide to visit Botswana for a safari, you cannot go wrong by selecting Moses Ntema and his Unlimited Tours & Safaris Company. Four of us had a wonderful enriching experience in October, 2015 while spending 10 days on a private mobile safari with Moses and his Unlimited team. It was our first Botswana safari as well as a first mobile safari and our experience far exceeded even our wildest (no pun intended!) expectations.
Moses is a gifted and natural guide. He is extremely skilled in his understanding of the wildlife behavior and habits (a very important trait for finding wildlife), his knowledge is vast, he is extremely customer focused and he works hard to provide a superior experience to each and everyone in the group. He is an avid photographer himself and is very skilled at positioning the vehicle so you get the best angles and light for taking your photos during the drives. And finally, he and his team have a great sense of humor which makes the trip a lot of fun for everyone. But they do it while all the time working very hard to keep you comfortable and safe. Oh, and one final thing. The food is simply amazing! You will marvel how anyone can bake, grill, and present such a fine cuisine in the bush. Be prepared to experience a very unique safari trip which will leave you with memories of a lifetime. I endorse Moses and his Unlimited team wholeheartedly. You will have made a wise decision should you be lucky enough to go with them!
It was amazing and i loved the diversity of the land of kenya andthe cost of the trip was reasonable
