Easy to work with. Responsive to e-mails
4/5

Communication was easy. Service was good. We climbed Kili with them and had a great tour guide and team. They then helped coordinate our transfer for a safari in the Serengeti which was good. Guide was okay. Vehicle was a bit old but it was only my wife and I which was a great treat.

I'd recommend them and would travel with them again.

Everything I imagined
4/5

Being a solo and independent traveller I had a few requirements for my safari choices when on Safari bookings.com and Fantastic Safaris kept coming up in my searchs. Solo traveller, any day start, price, sights and itinerary which were high on my list. I started the process of booking and payment which was all easily done by email/online and confirmed. Once in Tanzania before my trip, I was contacted to confirm things once again. Once on safari everything was handled really well. Great transportation with a very interesting and knowledgeable guide, our own cook with great meals and awesome sights of animals, scenery along with everything I imagined safari in the Serengiti to be. I would use Fantastic Safaris again if I had the opportunity of going on safari again.

i have never seen a lot of wild animals in life like in masai mara
4/5

Me and my friends had a work program in Kenya and so later we decided to take a trip around before we flew back home in Australia, after our program for 5 days trip in lake Nakuru and Masai Mara so we made a search around checked on trip adviser and we found go explore with 5 stars around, Brenda was responding to our emails always we stayed at Sarova lion hill game lodge this is a very nice place with great staff and plenty of food in Nakuru the staff were always helpful, I saw lions after our guide Charles had told us lions are rare in this place so it was so fortunate for us. We slept at Hammerkop in Masai mara one night and ngerede in the wild which is a very beautiful lodge just overlooking the plains of Masai Mara we were able to see the big five on this short trip thanks to the team for organizing this great short trip.

Great experience, Amazing time in Kenya.
4/5

We really enjoyed our package overall,

Received a very warm welcome at the airport straight into our drive to our first nights accommodation, Sawela Lodge, which was a great place, we saw giraffes from the grounds, food was good buffet style and breakfast was the same.

We then drove to Mara river camp, an amazing camp located right on the bend of a river where hippos actually do live its not just sales. the tented camp is lovey with plenty of room for two. we had a fantastic few days here seeing wildlife right from our bed. only issues we had was getting hot water some days as its from solar or generator and our shower did had a leak that stuff were aware of. Camp was spotlessly clean throughout our stay , staff were very attentive, anything we needed was possible.
The food at the camp was a basic set menu for all three meals, we only had breakfast and evening meals as we were out during the daytimes.

Our safari into the Masai Mara was fantastic, an amazing experience to remember. made better by seeing the big 5 throughout our three days.

Our guide and driver for our whole trip was Peter who was amazing, who i would recommend to anybody. Very knowledgeable and managed to be in the right place at the right time , allowing us to see everything we wanted. A genuinely lovely guide through our time in Kenya.

We would recommend this trip to anybody and were very happy with the package put together for us for our time in Kenya.

A good operator, worth the money.
4/5

We got picked up in the morning at 3:45 am at our hotel. After a 6 hour drive we arrived at Mikumi NP and did a game drive with bob where we saw elefants, lions, giraffes, hippos and many more. Oure lodge in Camp Bastian was perfect and the food was delicious. Next day we did a hike to the highest waterfalls in Tanzania. The view was amazing. Last day was again a game drive in NP and the ride to Dar es Salam.

My family of 4 had a very good experience in the 6 day Royal safri with Tukio.
4/5

Tukio was very prompt and responsive to all questions I had and provided multiple options. My family is vegetarian and they made sure that good vegetarian food was available throughout the trip. Paul who was our guide was wonderful and made sure that we got to see the big 5 within the first 2 days itself. He was also very thoughtful and considerate about the needs of my old parents in the 80s. Paul was also always on time and ensured toilet breaks within a reasonable time of our request during the long drives between Nairobi and Maara, Nkuru and Amboseli & Amboseli and Nkuru. If it was just Paul I was rating, my rating would be a 5.
I would have provided a 5 star rating but for the fact that we were not told about one piece of information. I had specifically inquired if air conditioning was available. I was told quite accurately that the hotels we lived in did not have electricity and operated on a generator. What I was not told is that some of the hotels had a blackout period of almost 8 hours in the night and did not have hot water (lukewarm water is what we got). These were not the low end options. This made it difficult to keep our phones fully charged. It also made it difficult for my parents when they wanted to go to the bathroom in the night since they had to go in pitch dark.

Very trustworthy and dependable. Easy to talk with and try to ensure safety comes first.
4/5

It was a well organized tour.. the Agent Rose was very helpful in getting everything organized and ready by the time i landed in Nairobi. I do recommend that you make it be know what sort of accommodation you want and they will organize accordingly.

Overall was very satisfied with the service. Ask for Rose she'll get everything sorted and ready by the time you arrive.

Aquila is not a safari. It is a game park. As long as you understand that...
4/5

I am in South Africa for just a short time. I didn't want to schlep up to the Kruger for a safari. This seemed ideal. 2 hours from cape town and reasonably priced. The pluses - food was good and plentiful. The staff were nice. John the safari guide was funny and knowledgeable. The minuses- the luxury cottages are not really luxury. The paint was peeling. There was graffiti on the door , the outside shower was very badly put together and it was dirty outside especially the table.

The camp is basically a very large zoo so you are guaranteed to see lions. To be fair to the camp the lions are rescued canned lions and are unable to fend for themselves.

So my advice is just go for the night. You will get two games drives which will basically be the same. Don't bother with the horseback safari unless you really like just strolling around.
