Review about Tarangire National Park by jules_1200r
just loved it - not enough time to really soak it all in though
We did Dolphin tour and our guide was well experienced
the service was Very good ever and with all details
Our safari to Africa which include the Ngorongoro Crater is the most exciting adventure of my life
The crater was so amazing in that it was different from most of the other places we visited. We only had our one day tour and wish that it could have been longer. There were so many different things to see, animals everywhere and so little in the way of cover for them. Would go back in a heart beat..

More than perfect safari with Jackson and EasyTravel
As I decided to organize myself a 3-day safari in North Tanzania in February 2015 (Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Manyara), I contacted 10 companies per mail. All of them responded quite fast, but EasyTravel offered me the best program and price. The correspondance with them was always very friendly, personal, clear and fast. Although I was a bit anxious after having made the full payment in advance, I was relieved that everything went perfectly well, the minute we went out of the airport on arrival in Tanzania (our first time in this country). We spent 3 nights in very nice lodges, which were recommanded by EasyTravel. Now the most important thing : our driver-guide Jackson! Travelling with him was just perfect : safe driving, sometimes not too fast to enjoy the landscape, sometimes fast to spot impressive animals. He gave us many informations about the animals and the country (I didn't expect to learn so many things!!), but he didn't talk all the time neither, that was perfect for us. Thanks to his patience and very acute and trained eyesight, we saw all the animals we wanted to see and many more... He was very adaptive and agreed to pick us up very early in the morning. All in all, I couldn't recommand more EasyTravel and Jackson for a perfect safari!

Great experience we do not want to miss
We travelled as a family of 5 persons (children are all grown up 15+). Hotel was located in Diani Beach, the Neptun Palm Beach Hotel.
Here it was easy to make a good decision using eg. holiday check to find the perfect hotel.
More risk was the booking of the safari (game drive) to Tsavo East. Fortunately I found safaribookings.com. With the help of this site I was able to find a local safari company providing a perfect service. If you plan a safari take care to book a lodge with a water hole a near as possible. In our case we booked the VOI lodge and we really loved it. The waterhole is only meters away from pool/restaurant and you can enjoy wildlife while relaxing at the pool or having a drink at the bar.
If you plan to visit other national parks from Diani Beach area, also take into account that there is a train available to Nairobi. It is a fast, cheap and exciting option instead of a many hours drive or expensive flight.

Amazing experience and all animals seen!
Really great experience! We booked 6 days safari and it was worth it! The best park is definitely Masai Mara, we spent 2 days there and have seen almost all big five! Also really good was Ambosseli park with a lot of elephants. The other game drive to Nakuru is also recommend: we saw rhinos and hundred flamingos. All together it was an excellent trip!

Beautiful country
I enjoyed 10N/11D in Namibia after a safari in Tanzania so I was looking for more landscape than animals.
The dunes were magical. The rocks were enchanting.
The animals in Etosha National Park did disappoint but maybe were just weren't lucky.
The lodges we stayed in were hit and miss. Loved some. Hated others like Hobarte.
Beautiful country but I won't be back.

Our 11 day route in Namibia revealed stunning variety
My husband, son and his wife recently completed an 11-day self-drive Safari in Namibia. Our route took us to Sesriem, Swakopmund, the Skeleton Coast and Damaraland, and finally Etosha national Park. We stayed in beautiful lodges, several and national parks, all along the way.
We began the trip with the other worldly landscapes of Sossusvilei, where we climbed the dunes and marveled at scenery we have never seen before. The lodge was comfortable and the food was good. It was a wonderful introduction to Namibia. From there we took the terrible road through Solitaire up to Swakopmund but our Toyota fortuna was up to the task and we arrived in good time and good shape. In Swakopmund, we did two different tours. My husband and I did a 4x4 dune tour in Sandwich Harbor- more stunning scenery - and my son and his wife did a kayak trip with seals. Both were really enjoyable.
From there, we drove north into Skeleton Coast national Park, stopping at the Cape Cross seal colony. That was a highlight. I've seen many seals in my life, but not so many so close.
Our afternoon drive to Palmwag was a little nerve-wracking because of the sand storm covering the highway, We were rewarded for our journey with a very comfortable two nights at Etendeka Mountain Camp. We didn't see much wildlife but our guide made our hike and game drive so interesting, we enjoyed it thoroughly. This is completely different scenery from any place we had been so far. I have never seen so many stars in my life. The wonderful guides and incredible skies were real highlights of this part of our trip. I felt immersed in Namibia.
From here we drove to Etosha, which for us seem like saving the best for last, despite loving every bit of it so far. Our first night we stayed in Okaujueo. We loved our chalet, had a wonderful dinner and sunset and sunrise at the water hole were amazing. I would definitely stay here at least one night. We were only able to get one night so moved on to halali, also a government place within the park. This was not as nice, but it was fine and the water hole was gorgeous. Gorgeous. Every day we did self-game drives and saw more wildlife than we could have imagined. We stayed outside the park in a luxury villa for our last two nights and did a game drive with them that was a amazing. Our guide seem to have a sense about where the lions, leopards, and hyenas having dinner were and so we were able to add those to our list.
We all think Namibia has so much variety of activities and landscapes, that it makes a perfect vacation destination.
