Good safari experience but accommodation can be improved.
4/5

I took the 6 day 5 nights safari tour with MoAfrika tours.

The accommodation at the Tremisina lodge was decent. But the accommodation at Marc Treehouse lodge was found wanting. First, the walk to the treehouse was quite far. And it required us to drag our luggage a long distance through the stone/rock pavement. There were many ants on the pathway which inevitably crawled on your luggage. The accommodation itself was dimly lit and had many insects such as ants. I had to flick away many ants and other insects that were crawling on my bed, mattresses, pillows, blankets etc. Food served at Marc Treehouse was also of poorer quality compared to Tremisana lodge. The beef was not tender and hard to swallow. Finally, I was hoping to see more animals around the treehouse, like some monkey swinging outside my door, but alas there was none. Only some impalas...

As for the safari experience, it was exciting to see so many animals roaming freely around in the wild. Animals spotted include lions, elephants, giraffe, hippo, rhinos, leopard, buffalo, jackal, wild dogs, baboons, hyena and others. Given the fact that I stayed longer, I guess it is only natural that the number of animals sighted would correspondingly increase.

Guides were alright – neither remarkable nor unremarkable. I guess they were focused on driving and spotting animals so didn’t have much interaction with them. Couldn’t remember their names or anything interesting about them too. Some guides were more time-conscious and clock-watching whilst others were more liberal with the timings.

Also did the Moholoholo tour, learnt about animal poaching and conservation efforts. Saw some eagles and my favourite (white lions), and some other animals such as hyena, jaguar, cheetah etc. It felt like I was visiting the local zoo and less interesting compared to the safari drives.

Very efficient, experienced, and friendly with many options to fit every budget and traveller style!
5/5

I had the pleasure of having Kwezi Outdoors plan my entire stay in Uganda. From start to finish they were able to incorporate the packed schedule of things I wanted to do! From East to West and across the country, their efficiency and adaptability was everything a traveller needs in Uganda.

I highly recommend guide Sam Wako. His incredible knowledge both of the flora and fauna and of the roads, towns, and cities, and culture was invaluable. On the safari, he knew exactly which animals were around. He is a veritable encyclopedia of information about each animal and I gained so much insight from him. In the urban and rural areas, he was an invaluable guide. He knows all the shortcuts in Kampala (very important due to heavy traffic), and was able to get me to all my appointments ahead of schedule. In the rural areas, he knows all the villages, towns, and activities.

He graciously adapted to changes I made in my itinerary on a daily basis (I’m easily distracted!), and found ways to still keep us on track. Sam’s knowledge of the different cultures in Uganda’s regions helped me learn so much about Uganda and truly appreciate the uniqueness of each kingdom. His professionalism and wealth of experience being a guide throughout Uganda was an invaluable resource that made all the difference and my trip a success. Thank you!

Just some of the things I packed in:

- Queen Elizabeth Nat’l Park Safari where I saw elephants, lions, hippos, water buffaloes, hyenas, warthogs, baboons, and so much more!
- Trekking in Kibale to see chimpanzees in their natural habitat(surreal!). Also very accessible to persons of all ages and abilities.
- Bungee jumping and whitewater rafting in Jinja
- Fort Portal City (my favourite city in Uganda)
- Crater Lakes and crossing the Equator
- Eating local food in every region
- Community tour in a local village in the Kingdom of Toro (a must to explore the local culture).
- Visits of Kampala: Buganda Palace, 360 view from the National Mosque minaret, crafts and arts, Buganda Parliament, shopping for specific items such as fabrics (Sam knows all the good places!).
- Road trip through Uganda. The natural beauty, forests, animals, agriculture, lakes, savannah, towns, cities, food, and music will leave you in awe.

Kiliholidays is the real hidden gem of Tanzania. We chose it because it was an affordable option that provided a wonderful onboarding process. When we booked our safari we got a professional personalized itinerary with a shareable link for friends and family. Mack was wonderful in helping us book flights while in Tanzania and made us feel comfortable with the payment and logistics process.

Edward was everything you could hope for in a Safari guide. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and made the trip more than what it would have been without him. The camaraderie we shared was not something you can find online or pay a premium price for. When I recommend safari in Tanzania to friends and family I specifically mention Kiliholidays by name. When we ran out of local currency, Edward was happy to front a couple shillings given that we were able to pay him back when we found an ATM. He also served as a liaison to the local environment and helped us navigate communicating with the local community and living in a novel environment. We really enjoyed spending time with him.

Mr. Mood was our private chef and was a delight. His food was not only delicious, but he was quick to take note of any dietary restricitons and had meals prepared for each of us that catered to our needs. Another pleasant personality, he made the trip that much richer. We were cracking jokes the whole time!

If you are considering Kiliholidays, you are considering a very good option.

Last month we booked a tour to Kenya with Hyrax safaris. We covered Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and Masaai Mara. Our experience with Hyrax was amazing. Their team of experienced professionals is passionate about creating memorable experiences for their clients, and their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction is unparalleled. During our tour, Roselyne, the owner of Hyrax Safaris, was incredibly helpful in planning our trip and took care of all the minute details, allowing us to relax and enjoy the experience. Even while our tour was ongoing, Roselyne was very fast in responding to any communication, demonstrating her dedication to ensuring our trip was smooth and enjoyable.

Undoubtedly, one of the highlights of our tour was our guide, Dan. He is a true professional who goes above and beyond to ensure that his clients have a safe and enjoyable trip. His impressive knowledge of the area, wildlife, and culture was evident as he shared his insights and answered our questions with enthusiasm. Dan's speed and efficiency in navigating through the terrain allowed us to make the most of our time and experience the stunning landscapes and wildlife. Thanks to his expertise, we were lucky enough to spot a Black rhino within three minutes of entering the reserve.

We were also impressed with Denis, our guide on the last day, who was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He gave us a detailed city tour, covering all the important places in the city of Nairobi.

Overall, we highly recommend Hyrax Safaris to anyone looking for a well-planned and guided tour in Kenya and Masaai Mara. Roselyne's amazing planning and coordination skills, combined with Dan's outstanding guidance, make for an exceptional experience. If you are planning a trip to Kenya, we would highly recommend asking Roselyne if she can get Dan for you as your guide as he truly made our trip unforgettable.

5/5

From the first contact, the company tryed to fullfill our wishes 100%. Roger, the driver was allways carefull and explained us lots of things about politics, economics and social life in this beautifull country. Over all, he knows everything about flora aud fauna. He spotted all the animals , so we could really see the "big five" during our journey.
Jessie, the cute tour operator from verdoro safaris accompanied us for the most of the trip and organised all our wishes immediately and perfect. Thanks to the two of them we spend interesting, marvellous days in Uganda.

We can really recommend the tour organiser verdoro safaris.

Customise Tours is the Absolute Best!
5/5

I booked a 4-day Victoria Falls and Chobe Tour with Brian. This was my first visit to Africa and I was traveling alone. Brian put together an amazing itinerary for the time that I had to visit Victoria Falls and Chobe. He showed up promptly at the airport upon my arrival, and made sure I felt safe and comfortable throughout my visit. Brian is so hardworking, organized and kind, and I sincerely enjoyed his company during my visit. It felt like I was seeing Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls alongside a friend I had known for years.
Victoria Falls was a truly magical and majestic site of nature to see. My entire visit to Africa entailed South Africa and Namibia, but the experience in Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls was a definite highlight. The animals such as elephants and giraffes were abundant even outside of game drives. Highly recommend visiting Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls with Customise Tours - you will have a lovely and memorable experience with one of the best guides in the area!

If this is a short review it's because I left a long one on Hadzabe Safari Adventures page on trip advisor and that site wouldn't allow me to copy that entry
