About: Kenya
Incredible hospitality, incredible views.

As a whole, Kenya was an incredible experience. Everyone we met, from strangers to lodge workers, was very friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond. Driving through the parks was a surreal experience and we felt fortunate to be there and witness the animals in their element as well as just the amazing landscapes. We never felt unsafe at all, just welcomed. Highly recommend.

Not much wild life but was surprised to see a Lion with a kill and the a lone White Rhino being guarded by two rangers. As we were leaving the park what a surprised to be chased by a Rhino - that was the biggest highlight for me. Sad we could not see the famous Flamingo's as our timing was not the best.

My group loved our stay at HoyoHoyo Lodge. All the staff were gracious and friendly and our Safari Guide, Hali Mnisi was extremely knowledgeable about the reserve, the animals and birds. We were blessed by his vast knowledge and experience as a tracker and guide. The food was diverse (kudu, oxtail, ostrich) and delicious. We were very pampered.

Jambo - the safari was a dream come true. The scenery is something no one can explain until one experience it first hand. The food was great and so was the accommodation. Loved the tenting lodges at Masi Mara Leisure camp and the people - a few of the high lights were going to the Masai Mara Village and being chased by a White Rhino at Lake Nakuru National Park and seeing the Hippo's come to graze at night time at Lake Nivasha Lodge. The two guides Simon and Eratus were the best. Their patients and knowledge of the parks was great and fantastic driving as well. The weather was cool at night and early morning which we never expected, that was great. We went in late April and early May 2014.

Diverse animals and landscape with welcoming people

South Africa has some of the most diverse landscapes and terrain I've ever seen and surprised me with how much was familiar compared with how much I did not expect to see. Lots of animals to see with lots of opportunities to see them up close, far away, and in their natural environment.

Tanzania it was amazing. It was pretty cool that our plane landed right in Mikumi. We saw lions, a jaguar, lots of elephants, lots of zebras, lots of antelope, hippos, monkeys, wild pigs, giraffes… it was pretty incredible! The only thing we did not get to see was rhinos. I would definitely recommend a Safari at Mikumi National Park in Tanzania.

AMAZING
5/5

I am now back in Australia after an unforgettable trip to Tanzania. It truly was a trip of a lifetime. One word that i said several times a day was AMAZING. It was very emotional at times, exhilarating exhausting and inspiring. It was difficult at times to take everything in and i was on sensory over load a lot. I have many many "National Geographic" worthy photos to reflect upon and to show off. Spending $1200 on a 500mm lense was money well spent.

I was so fortunate to be with put with a group of the most "amazing" (there's that word again) people. All complete strangers at the beginning but firm friends after 8 days. So much so that we are all catching up in December when i travel to London and Europe. There were hugs and tears when we parted.
Our guide from Ranger Safaris Ndossy was brilliant. So knowledgeable on simply everything and a pleasure to be in his company.
All of the accommodation was first class. Very comfortable and welcomed after a long day bumping around on dirt roads and taking in the breath taking sights of Northern Tanzania. The staff and food at each establishment was faultless.
I was very fortunate to see the big 5 and there were also some unique sights that aren't mentioned in the tourist guides.
I will definitely be returning and am telling all of my friends and I have inspired many of my friends to do the same safari.
My flight to Zanzibar went off with out a hitch and spending 3 weeks on Zanzibar with old friends was wonderful and I certainly got to experience Zanzibar much more than the average tourist. It was bitter sweet leaving as i had met so many wonderful people and my FB page now has alot more friends on it.
Thanks so much to Diederik from African Ubuntu Safaris for holding my hand every step of the way from my first enquiry, to the follow up post holiday e mail. He gave me a lot of confidence particularly that I was travelling alone. African Ubuntu's service was first class and very professional and I would not hesitate to recommend the company to others and use again for myself.

We arrived here at the lodge 90 minutes after landing with dinner waiting at 2300. Next morning at 0600 we were on our first game drive. The ranger was excellent and vechicles comfortable. In 2 drives and a walk we saw 51 birds and 17 mammals including lion with the city as a back drop!!!!

The lodge was comfortable and the food was excellent

Great way to start a trip
