excellent service and value
5/5

I have now used Pearls Tours for travel in Botswana and Zimbabwe. They are professional, responsible, and provide excellent value for money. I had contracted them to transfer me to a campsite in Chobe, and the driver stayed and helped me pitch the tent to make sure I was ok. Now THAT is service!

Priscilla in the office is very responsive, polite and understanding of travellers needs. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Excellent Service with Trip of a Lifetime
5/5

We booked 3 days package includes Pickup drop from airport, 2 nights stay in Maasai Mara, 3 times meal, jungle safari, little nairobi tour & Naivasha tour.

Owner Mr.Otieno, Driver Mr. Zakaria & Cook provided us excellent service. They were always helpful & at my service.

Everything was above the expectation.

Price was cheapest comparing to all companies.

Special thanks to the cook, we got delicious 3 times meal.

Great experience of Maasai Mara Safari Tour. One whole day in jungle safari was trip of a lifetime.

Accommodation at Mara Springs was decent & Adventuress. (You will only get 3 hours of electricity in a day).

Naivasha tour was good but you have to pay 30$ extra for one hour boat ride, but its worth it. Spend few hours.

Nairobi City Tour was okay because there are not much to see in Nairobi. So you can avoid Nairobi City Tour and do little extra Safari Tour Instead.

Nothing negative just a suggestion to travellers: If you are travelling with family or with a lady then upgrade the room with one which has door. Even though you have to pay little extra. The room we choose was good & adventuress. But my family was bit scared because it was having a ZIP not a DOOR.

Overall value for money and Highly Recommended.

Cool Safari Experience
4/5

Communication with booking was smooth, for the most part. The service was good. The guide was very knowledgable and helpful. The tour itself was too long. You don't need to do the evening and the full day. I would suggest just doing a 2 day safari versus the 3. The lodging wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and was quite liveable for the 2 nights. The ride to the safari is rough and extremely bumpy so if you have motion sickness, bring meds with you.

5 days, 4 nights private safari
5/5

Just arrived back from a 5 day, 4 night private safari with Tanzania Destination Safaris. Having arrived in Arusha with no safari booked, we met with Emmanuel and were able to find a safari that suited all of our needs. Our driver was incredible (Omary) and we saw absolutely everything and more. He was extremely accommodating to our needs and made sure we were always happy. There was a slight mix up with our accommodations in the Serengeti (completely out of the control of Tanzania Destination Safaris\Emmanuel), but Emmanuel was extremely prompt with his responses and was waiting for us at our hostel in Arusha upon our return to ensure we were OK. Overall we are very happy with the service and will definitely be recommending Tanzania Destination Safaris to our friends, and will likely use this company again for another safari. Emmanuel is lovely and there to help with all of our needs and wishes to help make this the best safari.

Great communication and organization, excellent knowledge of the area, very friendly and fun.
5/5

Four of us (friends) travelled together and had an amazing time visiting three national parks in 11 days.
I would recommend this family company without hesitation.
If anyone would like to contact me for further details, it’s no problem.

Gorgeous scenery, great wildlife, and uncrowded areas!

5/5

My friend and I spent two weeks on a safari tour of southern Tanzania with Wildness Safari. Selous Game Reserve was the last stop on our itinerary and we spent a total of 4 days in the area.

We stayed at the Hippo Camp which was a short 15 minute drive from the entrance to the Selous Game Reserve, making it a nice base for our safari trips.

Selous Game Reserve is an untouched wilderness giving you the sense of being in "real Africa", and in my opinion, was the most beautiful reserve in the southern circuit of Tanzania, with it's gorgeous grassy plains, lush tropical areas, acacia woodlands, and the meandering Rufiji River that runs through the reserve.

Selous Game Reserve is such a vast area, so we sometimes spent hours driving around looking for the animals. While the wildlife population density isn't as high as it is in northern Tanzania, we still saw loads of animals including lions, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, impala, hartebeest, greater kudu, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, hippos and crocodiles. Unfortunately we weren't lucky enough to see any leopards, rhinos or wild dogs during our safaris, but it gives me an excuse to go back there one day. Our guide, Rajab, from Wildness Safari, was incredibly knowledgeable and informative during our safari tour, and I honestly think we would have missed out on so much had we opted to do a self-drive safari instead. His guiding skills were invaluable during the entire trip, and it felt like we had our own personal guidebook with us.

One of the drawcards of Selous Game Reserve was the fact that it wasn't very crowded, and it often felt like we were the only ones in the reserve as we could drive for hours without seeing another vehicle. This provided us with a great opportunity for unlimited viewing times with the wildlife.

I would definitely recommend booking a boat cruise along the Rufiji River and a walking safari tour while in Selous if you have the time, as this was a highlight of the trip for me.

I highly recommend a trip to Selous Game Reserve during your time in Tanzania!

Unique safari experience, without the dust and noise
5/5

Very safe guides, excellent catering, wonderful sights and animals. Have been on two other Zambezi canoe safaris, they are always good and the best way of getting close to animals without disturbing them.

Pleasantly surprised to see ice-cold drinks still possible after 4 days!

Caprivi and Okavango Birding Safari - 6 Days/5 Nights
5/5

This safari was excellent in every respect. Our guide, Nick, began by asking us about our main goals for the trip. Nick, a Namibian vet, has a vast knowledge of birds and wildlife, as well as the flora, of the region. He was generous in sharing that knowledge, never tiring of answering questions. It was a pleasure to have Nick as our guide.

The lodges chosen by Nature Travel Namibia (NTN) were situated on three great African rivers: the Zambezi, the Kwando, and the Okavango. Accommodations were comfortable with gorgeous views and the food was good.

The safari was well-planned by NTN, with every detail thought of in advance. There was a nice balance of intensive birding and relaxation during the hot hours of the day if we so chose. Otherwise, it was out for more birding in the bush or garden, or out on the river.

We loved this safari and would highly recommend NTN to any traveller interested in nature and in this wondrous area of the world.

Big Five the First Afternoon Was Just the Beginning
5/5

Ute Sonnenberg's recommendations led to a stellar experience starting at Kirkman's in the Sabi Sands reserve area. On arrival at the camp, the staff immediately connected with us to assure us that we were in excellent hands. On our first game drive in the afternoon, they delivered two male lions, a full pride of lions, rhino, elephant, cape water buffalo and after dark there was a leopard chowing down on a water buck. Of course, we encountered lots more wildlife - our guides Joel and David made sure of that including a visit to a den of hyenas. In addition to the tiny one month hyena that emerged - we saw lion cubs, young giraffes, a baby hippo and more. Lots of birds including the rare ground gray hornbill and Scopes owl. The food was superb including the outdoor "white buffalo" buffet breakfast. We then moved on to Zambia and again Ute's recommendation gave us a chance for an all day safari to Chobe National Park in Botswana. The drive to the park gave us a chance to see the countryside, and then by boat and range rover we encountered so much more including the herd of elephants we were hoping to see. We rounded up our trip with a visit to the Leya visit in Livingstone. Everything went according to plan which was the result of numerous emails back and forth with Ute over several months. Our only disappointment was that we were not in Jo'berg long enough to thank her in person.
