Wonderful time
5/5

As our first family safari, we thank Beacon Safaris and particularly Victor our guide and of course Robert for organizing such a great trip for us. The amazing animals and breathtaking sceneries were enlightening. It is the best adventure we have taken so far as a family.

The tour in the masai mara was amazing also the guide was the best but we paid for a luxury camp and it was EMPTY, even though the personal was super kind, the food was reheated and they didn't even have a cold beer when we asked for. the wine was also open for we don't know how many days, and we end up paying for something that was very below our expectations. Fortunately the guide was the best, so that's why I'm putting 3 stars.

To see elephants in Tanzania, go here
Overall rating
5/5

We saw lionesses hunting, and other fun wildlife, but the most spectacular was the day we were surrounded by elephants on all four sides of our safari vehicle, en route to the river. This didn't happen anywhere else, and it was the best day of our trip, including more famous national parks. We also loved just sitting overlooking the water watching the elephants playing. The density of the elephant population made this a wonderful visit.

We stayed in Boundary Hill Lodge, in the Conservation Area, and it was our favorite lodging of the trip. Spectacular place to stay to visit Tarangire. The weather was no different than in Ngorongoro Crater or the Serengeti. The scenery was much less our focus here, though. However, the baobabs are unbelievable, too.

Incredibly Fantastic
5/5

We enjoyed our safari with Beacon safaris and Mweri as our guide. The animals were incredibly fantastic. We were very lucky to see all of the Big Five. Our driver was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Thanks Beacon for organizing a lifetime adventure, we will cherish the memories for ever.

Excellent service, Excellent guides & porters, Excellent management
5/5

I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro via Rongai route and visited Ngorongoro Conservation Area in December 2014, with a big group (28 people) from Thailand. George and his Kilimanjaro Brothers team did a great job taking care of us. George and his team tried their best to ensure all of us would reach the top. And we were pleased with our group's summit success rate (26 out of 28 people or 93%).

During my summit attempt, my porter, Zacharia, really helped me, motivated me, stayed with me all the time and walked with me all the way to the end. He was the light in my darkest hours. Without his support, I would not have made it to the Uhuru Peak.

All in all, I highly recommend George Mtaki and Kilimanjaro Brothers!

A fantastic country full of contrasts

Kenya is a country that, with virtues and defects, is worth visiting. The organization of the safaris is excellent and the guides make an effort to see many animals, especially the big five.

The Great Migration in the Masai Mara
Overall rating
4/5

A friend and I went to the Masai Mara for two days during the Great Migration. We booked a tour with Ket Safaris out of Nairobi. Our driver, Henry, picked us up at our hotel in Nairobi and drove us to our accommodation, which was a luxury tented camp. We saw plenty of wildlife, particularly wildebeest and zebra. All our guides were excellent. Definitely go during Migration if at all possible. Also, we booked a van instead of paying a little extra for a 4X4. If cost is not a significant issue for you, I highly suggest a 4X4 because the vans they use in the area don't have air con, and you are on very rough, dirt roads for the last two hours into the Mara. It can get quite uncomfortable.

Good company!

5/5

My fiancé and I felt very safe with this company. They handled any issues with Cate and professionalism. We opted to stay at a nice hotel, which was part of the package. They have a variety of options for sleeping. The Safari tour guide was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions.

Excellent trip to the Maasai Mara
5/5

We had a magnificent trip out to the Maasai Mara that was arranged by Right Choice tours. It began with an amazing dinner at the Carnivore restaurant, followed by our drive out to the national reserve from Nairobi. On the way our tour guide, Andrew, gave us amazing insight into the history of Kenya, often pointing out geographic features and historical structures on our drive. He did a wonderful job of combining interesting information with the beautiful Kenyan sights on our initial trek.

Andrew also served as our tour guide on the safari. He worked tirelessly to make sure we had an opportunity to get near the animals of the national reserve, while remaining safe within our vehicles. We were able to see breathtaking views of a mother lion with her two cubs, cheetahs resting under trees, giraffes, elephants and even two black rhinos. Our tour guide did an amazing job of explaining the animals to us and giving us details to the national reserve as we drove through it.

Also the location that was arranged for us to stay at was absolutely amazing, the Stanley Mara. They always had a bonfire going in the evening and the accommodations were perfect for a lodge. On our last night we were even treated to dance with some of the Maasai tribe.

Overall the safari was an amazing experience and we recommend Right Choice as a service to use. Ask for Andrew!
