Best wildlife viewing in all of Africa!
I am a Professor of Tourism who lived in Botswana for over a year. As part of my teaching, research and personal interests I have travelled to more than a dozen countries throughout Africa. I can say with complete confidence, the BEST wildlife viewing is in Chobe. The best time to come is in the winter (May-August) because it is dry and the animals crowd around the watering holes. Be sure to take a game drive AND the boat cruise. Chobe has the greatest concentration of elephants in the world- roughly 70,000, so you are guaranteed to see plenty. If you into town yourself be careful, drive slowly, and try not to drive at night because you will see elephants along the road (sometimes in the middle of the road) all the time. They are very difficult to see at night, so it is recommended not to do it, or if absolutely necessary, drive very slooooooooooowly. After travelling to more than 50 countries, Chobe is my absolute favorite place. I have been there at least 10 times because I insist on taking all my visitors there. Not to be missed!

Absolutely the Best Choice For My First Solo Trip
I was excited and then nervous when I took the leap and booked my airline tickets, hotels, experiences and safaris in Kenya on my own as a 56 year old woman. It was my first ever solo trip and my first time to visit Africa half a world away. Kenya was AMAZING! The people in Kenya are universally friendly, kind and the best hosts I have ever encountered. So many people extended themselves to make sure I was well taken care of throughout my trip. Not only did I get to enjoy the scenic beauty and animals in Amboseli and the Mara, but the many Kenyans I met during my two week stay will live in my heart and memory for the rest of my life. Don’t hesitate just visit Kenya!

Beautiful landscape and nice people!
Our experience in Tanzania was great from start to finish. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and kind, the lodge we stayed in the night before the safari was clean and spacious, and all the staff was very friendly. The food was delicious and the animals in the safari were incredible. Overall it was an amazing experience and we would recommend it to everyone looking for a unique trip.

Great Safari experience with a reliable, commited and friendly team
We had booked a 4 days Safari in Mikumi and Udzungawa Forrest with Gecko Adventure from Germany. As we did not want to travel with that much cash, we wired the money upfront. All passed very well. The communication with Rama was perfect; we were picked up as agreed from the ferry port in Dar and then taken to Mikumi in our own big Jeep by our own guide. Especially our guide, Saiid, was a real treasure. He was always friendly, reliable, very knowledgeable regarding country, flora and fauna and always good to have around. He did not tire until we had seen all animals possible during our Safari, was a good driver and a real nice guy. I cannot recommend him enough.

A Restorative Return
I have Zimbabwean heritage, but hadn't visited for many years. I felt welcomed as if I had never been away. It's impossible to place any one of the many rich ingredients which made up this overall immersive and mind-expanding experience ahead of the others, so let me just say this:
- The people were warm and positive and loved their country.
- The experience was authentic, whether on safari in the bush, spending time with old friends or everyday contact in shops.
- Being away from light and noise pollution was a gift
- the birdlife in Mana Pools was exceptional.
I am already planning my next visit!

Welcoming country with amazing things to see!
Some friends and I started our trip with a Kilimanjaro climb through the Machame route, it was an amazing experience and the scenery was beautiful. The team of guides and porters were great too and overall exceeded all our expectations. Afterwards we went to Zanzibar to relax, which also was an incredible experience. The beaches were great and the food too, with a wide variety of restaurants. I have to mention though the stark contrast of the resorts and hotels, and the level of poverty you see in the island. Finally we ended the trip with a safari. We were a bit skeptical of how many animals we would see because it was the end of the rainy season, but it was really incredible! We got to see the mass migration in the Serengeti, and lots of animals in Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara. Overall we had an amazing trip on this very welcoming country, we felt safe all the time and we totally recommend the experience!

Absolutley the best possible experience for a Safari, driver guide, organisation - simply the best!
Everything was perfect about the trip. We planned it at very short notice following a recommendation from a friend. Communication by email and a single phone call - U.K. to Moshi. We had no idea what to look for, no experience of Tanzania or East Africa in general, so TanzaniaJourneys provided a provisional itinerary and we went along with it. I can't believe how fortunate we've been. We had a wonderful driver/guide, who in one week showed us what the various national parks and conservation areas had to offer. Just my wife and myself in our own Landcruiser with a raised lid! Brilliant, I spent virtually the whole of everyday standing up and trying to spot animals before Godlisten (our guide). I succeeded only once - and that was a herd of elephants. He knew just where to find the big five and much more besides. Hugely knowledgeable about all the animals and birds and it was a joy to be in his company.
We just cannot thank these guys enough. It wasn't just the driving and guiding, it was the superb organisation. Everything happened just as it was supposed to. Even the Wildebeast (Gnu to you) were migrating to order.
The choice of overnight lodges was equally superb.
Many, many thanks guys.
A country green and lush, helpful friendly people, amazing birdlife and animals
A green and lush country at all times of the year. with helpful and friendly people. There is huge variety in the countryside from the lakes of Mutanda in the southwest to the plains of the north, the unusual crater lakes. The birdlife is amazing so much variety - many types of kingfishers and every other bird. Of course seeing the Gorillas and chimpanzees is a highlight and few other countries can offer this. The game parks have a wide variety of life and the river trips are well worth it. Also Rhino walking trips. Altogether a wonderful country to visit. African adventure vacations with Mustafa as the guide were terrific
