A great Safari experience!
4/5

Antelope Safaris organized our safari covering Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro in May of 2015. The tour was well organized and our guide was excellent. Overall I was very happy with the trip and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great safari experience on a moderate budget.

Excellent Services and communication skills great experience
4/5

I and my family booked our 5 days safari with them, they were very good in communication and accurate in information, it was taking less than 5 min before we got the replies which built our confidence. We had other quotation from other companies but we liked Adventure single answer though their package was slightly higher than others but at the end we felt it was worth it. From day one we were well received from our apartment in Nairobi westlands, we were picked on time and headed to their office to make our final payments which worked very well with us.
Our driver was knowledgeable with animals and he took care of us and our kids were well entertained by him all through, the food was good and our cook was great, he provided us with the diet we had requested with fresh fruits every day. The camp was clean and we were happy to be booked in one family tent which was selfcontained.
When traveling dont forget to have your personal effects and more so towels, the tent had only 2 towels which we shared but I highly advise others to carry their own just in case. Our van was comfortable but for those who wanted air conditioned van its Africa and it may not happen but the natural air and kool wind was what we wanted.
Only one thing to put in mind the last part from Norok is hell bumpy and dusty, this is the only part we felt Dickson would have advised us before but they whole safari was more than we expected and we witnessed the great migration along mara river.
Finally the speed limit is 70-80km/h which made us to spend much more time from mara to nakuru but we realized its a regulation for all tour operators, the vehicle beeps when the speed is 80km which makes it uncomfortable for your ears.

We highly recommend Adventure Africa whom we trusted with everything even before we met him and we look forward in booking Tanzania tour with them in December again. They are the best choice

Dar-Es-Salaam -> Ruahah (amazing) -> Udzungwa (amazing) -> Dar-Es-Salaam (avoid)
4/5

We went to Tanzania on Honeymoon and decided to go on a safari as a once in a lifetime experience and had a good time in Tanzania... once we got out of Dar-Es-Salaam but be prepared to drive a LONG way. If you love your animals and photography (which I do) I would highly recommend a safari and Ruaha and Udzungwa are amazing places!

Omari, our guide, picked us up from Dar airport in the evening. He was a great guy, very friendly and a real character. As a guide he was also brilliant! We went to a hotel in Dar, where we stayed for a night. In the morning we had to be up very early (we left at 5am) to go drive to Ruaha National Park. Be aware, the drive will take all day (14-hours driving as fast as Omari would dare drive), the roads are not good quality and there is little in the way of conveniences on route. Omari was even surprised that the tour operator offered us the package we went for (it was our choice to go on this safari, so I dont blame them).
We stayed the night in a really nice banda on the outskirts of the park and then spent the next day in the park, with Omari, which was really great. The wildlife there is excellent and many of the animals retain the natural fear of humans and vehicles. Additionally, there are very few visitors to the park, so when you see some of the more high profile animals, there isn't a swarm of cars around them, which makes the experience much more intimate - you are reliant on having a good guide. We stayed in Ruaha for 1 day, which I would make longer if I was doing the trip again so that there we could have spent more time in the park as well as not having to travel all that way just to come back after 1 day.
The following day we travelled to Udzungwa. I cannot recommend Udzungwa enough, it was the best park of our safari andd a must see if you go to Tanzania. We stayed two nights in Hondo Honda in a tented banda, which was really pretty and they often have baboons walking through the garden and monkeys foraging in the evening. The next day was very special as we went up into the rainforest and were able to various species of monkeys, including rare red iringas, as well as the udzungwa falls.
The following day we had planned to Mikumi, but decided to head back to Dar (we were felling a bit unwell, tired from a lot travelling the previous few days and the election celebrations and much of the wildlife we had seen in Ruaha). The main road does travel through the nation park, so we were able to see some of the wild-life that inhabit the park.

Then we got back to Dar... The traffic in Dar is horrendous - the best analogy I can think of would be if there was an accident at every other junction on the M25 that is the traffic you have to deal with... If you can avoid going into Dar DO because it took almost as long to traverse Dar as it took to get to Dar from Udzungwa.

As a tour operator they are nice. However you would need to specify your requirements accordingly for them to arrange the same .

Good
4/5

Yes service was excellent despite the camping tent is normal type. The Safar tour itself was good where guide cum driver did a good job spot almost all animals which we wish to see reached.

Overall it was good despite camping where certain camp site toilet not so clean or water not consistence.

4.5 star - Great safari holiday with only minor hiccups
4/5

We really enjoyed working with Levis to plan our safari holiday. He is super responsive and flexible. We planned an itinerary in Feb for end of May travel, but my father got sick and we had to delay the trip. Levis was very supportive and flexible in helping us to replan the trip for an August travel within a very short period of time. He also helped to reduce the cancellation penalties as much as the policies allow.

The hotels and guides of the trip were quite good with only minor hiccups, which is completely normal in a 5 country long trip (3 weeks). Levis has been actively working with us to address them as they came up.

Looking back I wish we should have communicated our goals better to Levis and our guides early on (eg see all Big 5 in game drives). Hope this helps other users in their planning.

Overall it's a great experience, thanks to the Hallmark team.
