Moses Yohanes is an excellent Kilimanjaro guide
5/5

My wife and I successfully climbed Kilimanjaro (Lemosho route) in 2021 with Moses Yohanes as our chief guide, and highly recommend him.

He, and the rest of the crew, did everything they were supposed to do, and that you expect them to do, but they also did a lot of other - sometimes small, but nonetheless very important stuff - that went above and beyond, and showed us that they have a lot of experience with this.

Just as an example, after one or two days, two of the Porters waited for us 15 minutes before camp, and carried our daypacks the last bit. It sounds like a ridiculously small thing, but seeing them there in the distance, and knowing that another days trek was almost over, gave us a big boost.

And every day, when the porters walked past us with all the heavy equipment, they were chatting, smiling, laughing and joking (even while climbing Baranco Wall) which forced us to not feel sorry for ourselves when we were tired and our small daypacks felt heavy.

Most important was our two guides, Moses (Chief) and Aloyce (Assistant), who we spent a lot of time with. Both on the trek, telling us about the mountain, the flora, the fauna, and in camp at night telling us about life, history, culture, politics of Tanzania.

Moses was very serious about the preparations (briefing, equipment, clothing etc) which made us feel safe, and Aloyce was whistling/singing and taking small dance-steps while trekking, which made the long hours of walking a lot more enjoyable.

I was amazed at how much physical strength but also mental power our guides had. They were constantly observing us closely, monitoring our pace, reminding us to sip water, warning about slippery paths, rocks you could hit your head/knee on, etc. And if our foot slipped, a hand was quickly there to support.

We only had to concentrate on breathing and walking, and admiring the beautiful scenery.

It is so amazing up there, with the glacier, the crater, the ice, the view below and over to Mt Meru. I am so happy we had time to see and enjoy it all, as we slowly made our way to the peak, while Moses captured the incredible moment for us on video with my mobile.

We hope a lot more climbers will benefit from having Moses to guide them.

Well organized, helpful and trustworthy
5/5

Booked a three day two nights luxury Kigali to Bwindi National Park (Uganda) tour to watch mountain Gorillas. We were a party of two.
Edison from Trots & Safaris was very helpful from the beginning, advising on visas and everything we needed to know, making sure we had all the information we needed. Payment processing was easy.
Our guide Jimmy was very pleasant and we enjoyed the three days with him. He explained many things on the way and made sure all the pick-ups and drop-offs were on time.
I can only highly recommend both Trots & Safari as well as friendly Jimmy. We would love to come back and do this again.

outstanding connections with local people
5/5

Traveling with Nature Responsible Safari Uganda brings an unforgettable sustainable experience with nature and animals, but also and above all with the people of Uganda. The NRS manager and photographer Isolde Novak knows the best places and time to take unique observations and photos. Since there are only 3-4 people in the cars, we had enough space for our equipment and there was the right place for everyone to take the best pictures. Your carefully selected drivers and guides will help you get to know the country from its most beautiful side and gain an unusual insight into the everyday life of the population. I traveled alone and went home happy with new friends. It was my 2nd trip with Nature Responsible Safari Uganda. Everything was personally and lovingly selected and organized. You can't bring a country closer or better to the holidaymaker.

Amazing trip with Nature Responsible Safari Uganda
5/5

I booked a group trip to Uganda with Isolde Nowak as a tour guide. Our group just fitted together really well. I also booked a private follow on tour for two. The accommodations were all well selected. There was nothing to complain except it was always too short. I could have stayed anywhere longer! The driver guides were also great and fit perfectly into our group. Everything was harmonious. At lunchtime, they prepared wonderful picnics in beautiful surroundings.
Of course, they also showed us lots of wildlife. Animals, bird, stunning nature. We saw the Big Five! And shoebills! And chimpanzees! And gorillas! What an incredible trip. Thank you Isolde for showing me this awesome country with it’s lovely people. After the group trip, I did a private follow-on tour to the less touristy northeast, together with a friend of mine and a driver guide.
Also on our private tour everything went perfectly. We got incredible impressions. The time with the Karamojong and the somewhat less touristy Kidepo Park was absolutely worth the long journey. How amazing the landscape was. I‘ve seen the most beautiful lion so far.
I also like to mention our yummy chicken skewers and Rolex on the road.
I could write a novel about my trip. To put it short... Thank you very much Isolde for organizing this awesome trip. Thank you very much Jones for explaining us everything about „your“ Gorillas. What a knowledge you have! Thank you very much to our driver guides George and Vicent for driving us safely through your beautiful country and showing us all the highlights and also off the beaten tracks. Your knowledge was fantastic. I'd love to come again as soon as possible.

Fabulous, fun, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable.
5/5

Our family of 4 spent 14 nights with Theno and Okavango Exploration Safaris in June/July 2023.
Communication was excellent and Theno was very happy to organise a tour to suit us. We chose the fully inclusive option so that we could have as much safari time as possible. Arriving back in to camp at sunset to a hot shower, camp fire and dinner was fabulous. We had elephants through camp, a raid from a honey badger and a visit from a hyena one evening. We were camped close enough to see and hear two male giraffes fighting. Tents with stretcher beds were comfortable and we had solar lights provided. We are used to bush camping in Australia so the en-suite bush bathroom was positively luxurious! Theno was great with our boys (12 and 16) and his brother Miambo happily whittled sticks for them to toast marshmallows over the fire at night. Miambo also makes the most delicious bush bread!
We saw just about every animal possible in the areas we visited (Moremi, Savuti and Chobe), including lion hunts and the two Savuti prides, African Painted Dog, hyenas, leopards, multiple antelope species, hornbills, secretary bird, jackals, wart hogs, wildebeest, elephants, giraffes, hippos (including the tiniest newest baby hippo “Bob”). It was the trip of a lifetime and we would definitely choose to see more of Africa with Theno and Okavango Exploration Safaris if we ever had the opportunity.

Colourful Uganda
5/5

We were on the road with Nature Responsible Uganda for 30 days (Dec. 23/Jan. 24). From the initial discussion about our wishes and the suggestions that Isolde and Jones made to us, we had a great tour of Uganda that convinced us 100%. The trip was simply great. From the very nice accommodations, the local excursions, our vehicle with private driver/guide Clinton, was very luxurious. Spontaneous market visits, photo stops, snacks, coffee stops, everything was always possible. The local guides who came along were all competent and impressed us with their knowledge.
Our trip began with relaxation on Ssese Islands. Then Jinja with a boat trip to the source of the Nile, Sipi Falls with a hike and visit to a coffee plantation. Karamoja region and tour to a traditional village. Kidepo Valley, a beautiful national park with lots of buffalo, elephants and zebras. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you can observe rhinos up close on foot accompanied by a rancher. Great. Murchison Falls NP. with a boat safari on the Nile to the Murchison Falls. As well as a second boat trip to the Nile Delta with animal watching. Hoima with a very nice market. Sempaya Hotsprings, beautiful place, you cook the eggs you bought there in the hot springs. Kibale NP, we went on a beautiful hike in the Bigodi Wetland and did some chimpanzee tracking. Top of the World Crater Lake View, visit to a vanilla plantation with a hike and a large banana market. Queen Elisabeth NP. with game drive. Beautiful boat trip on the Kazinga Channel with lots of hippos, elephants, birds. Ishasha Sector, visit to a fishing village. Lake Bunyoni by boat to the accommodation. Lake Mburo NP. Small park but very scenic, with lots of zebras, giraffes, buffalo. And last but not least Equator Point and the end of our great trip. We go home with lots of impressions, experiences, lovely acquaintances, great souvenirs. The trip was a highlight for us. Thank you Nature Responsible Isolde, Jones and Clinton, who showed us these great insights into a very beautiful, colorful country. And many different cultures and people.
Thank you Isolde and Jones for the perfect organised trip.
Thank you Clinton, our driver and guide for a safe journey.
